  1. Thanks for the reply, I have recently found a tutorial which is alot better than the method I was using. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/517230-tutorial-converting-a-dem-to-a-heightmap/?hl=%20tesannwyn Many thanks for the tutorial by the way! It is very useful and has created a much more detailed landscape. :)
  2. Put some f*#@ing spoilers in. OT: I have only played a portion of your content and am currently doing The Inheritence and have previously completed NVB1 and have started NVB2. The content you have created on your own (I think) has inspired me to take up modding for FNV. I always thought that 1 man projects would be terrible pieces of rubbish that ruined the Fallout experienced but you changed my mind on that. It's a shame to hear about the problems that you had and I hope everything works out for you. Thank you for the enjoyment of playing your mods and the inspiration you gave me!
  3. Where did you look for the GECK's ini files? Normal Directory would be: C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Games\FalloutNV Try moving GECKCustom.ini and GECKPrefs.ini to your desktop and then relaunch the GECK. Hopefully it will create default config settings. If they are not in the above folder try opening Notepad and do the following Paste the following text into notepad and save as GECKCustom.ini and then open another new notepad document and save this one as GECKPrefs.ini and paste in the following I hope this helps
  4. Hi Goraxis, Can you post screenshots of your install directory and list the version of Fallout NV and also the version of NVSE you are attempting to install. The more detail you go into the easier it will be for you to get a solution.
  5. Even though you have found the solution to your problem. I would suggest getting the 4gb NVSE loader, that way you can have s*** tons of mods and no FPS drop. My PC that I use is just an office refurb with a few minor addtions and I'm able to run New Vegas with about 50 mods at High Settings or about 30/40 for Ultra Settings. Just extract and paste the contents to your main install folder and then launch with fnv4gb.exe. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35262/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D35262&pUp=1 Hope it helps
  6. Hey guys, I'm currently in the process in making my mod called "Across the Water" which aims to add in alot of the world space that is on the other side of Hoover dam. I have created a created a greyscale heightmap but am having troubles getting the .esp to load into the geck so I can continue editing the world space. Here are the steps that I have taken so far: 1)Taken a screen shot of a map area. (I'm aiming for my mod to be as closely based on the real life area as possible) 2)Scaled it in GIMP, changed the brightness, removed labels and made sure the colour levels were correct. 3)Imported the image into GeoControl 2 and generated it and then exported it in greyscale. 4)I then copied the .bmp into my TESAnnwyn directory. 5)I have now gone into TESAnnwyn and used the following command line "TESAnnwyn -i 5 -s 20 -w AcrosstheWater -x -32 -y -32 GreyscaleHeightMap.bmp" 6)A .esp file is generated called TESAnnwyn.esp. 7)I copied the .esp to my Data folder for NV. I load up FOMM and there are no masters for the plugin. 8)Opened the GECK and set TESAnnwyn.esp as the active file and FalloutNV.esm and the 4 main DLC esm as the files master and then saved the .esp. 9)The world space does not show up when I try and open the heightmap editor up in the geck. I have a funny feeling that the Command Line I am using in TESAnnwyn is wrong and is creating a .esp for Fallout 3 rather than New Vegas. I have hunted through the internet for a suitable command line for New Vegas but cannot find it. Is there a full tutorial on what the different parts of the TESAnnwyn command line mean? I have also read many tutorials on converting mods from Fallout 3 to New Vegas but every tutorial I have tried the programs require an installation of Fallout 3 to work. I do not have Fallout 3 so I am unable to do so. I would be really appreciated if someone were to be able to help me out by either converting the .esp for me if they were to own Fallout 3 and New Vegas or if they were to tell me what I was doing wrong with TESAnnwyn or if there is an alternive to TESAnnwyn. Many thanks, Chazrp
