I always thought that I owed mod authors something, although I've endorsed every mod I've downloaded, I knew that wasn't enough. This entire paid modding thing has really made me feel more guilty. With the system of paid mods scrapped, there are now people rubbing it in and jeering at mod authors, in the arrogant belief that the community is better without "greedy modders". Everyone with a nexus account is part of this community that includes every mod author, every mod user, every venomous troll. I'm afraid that some people may have forgotten this. Evidently even before the introduction of the paid system, some mod authors have felt they've been taken for granted. Isn't a community supposed to look out for each other's interests and make compromises? Bullying mod authors doesn't help this community, and leaves a sour taste in the mouth for the rest of the content creators, regardless of whether or not they admit it. The community is worse off for every modder that decides to leave. Collectively we mod users need to start showing some more appreciation, that means donations, endorsements and at least written thanks. I've never made a donation before, I'm getting by on dole money, but compromises have to be made, because if you haven't realised we're losing genuinely talented and well meaning people here.
