  1. Okay, even though nobody is replying to this I'll update it. I downloaded Nifskope and managed to edit the model of the gun I want to silence. However, now when I try to update the "Modded" weapon mesh the GECK crashes horribly....Is there anything I am doing wrong, or is the GECK just a truly buggy piece of s#*!?
  2. Hello peoples! So I'm just getting into modding, mostly just messing around with the GECK. I know that other modding tools exist but I don't have any experience using them. I've run into a bit of a road block trying to add silencers to a few weapons from other mods that I've downloaded. Obviously this is for my own personal use and not for distribution without the original author's consent. So far I found out how to tag the weapon as being silenced and I think properly adding the right affects etc. in the "mod info" tab. But the silencer does not actually show up in-game. I'm not sure if I need to edit models or something through Nifscope or what. I've hit a complete dead end here, hopefully someone can help me out! Thanks y'all!
  3. Hello Nexus modding community! This is my first time ever posting a new topic to the forums here, but I'm a long time Fallout mod enthusiast (downloading and appreciating, not actually making mods). I recently ported over Skree000's BF 2142 mod for Fallout 3 to Fallout NV (for my own uses, not to distribute). And I've run into a bit of an issue. As it turns out Skree000 used a method of first person zooming that involves scopes. They aren't zooming scopes though, they're just ACOG style. Anyway I ported the mod correctly as far as I can tell - sounds, textures, meshes etc. all work. The only thing that isn't working is the scopes when in first person. When zooming in I belive it should be switching to a different scope texture or maybe a different mesh so that the scope actually functions. What's happening is that the scope textures do not change and instead the solid scope texture remains and I cannot see through it. I know this isn't the best description, but I'm not really sure how else to describe it with my very limited modding experience. If anyone can help me out with this, start a dialogue and I'm sure the description of the issue will become a little more clear!
