  1. I always thought the orientation depended on whether you wipe from the front or the rear. And, no, there is no third choice... we're not talking about Brylcreem, where dabbing is allowed. (if you're not at least 50, you probably won't understand that.)
  2. In Gamer Poet's tutorial "Merge Plugins: start to finish", he shows an example (at 14:53) of a merging file that includes 3 of JK's cities.
  3. Your comment is rather pointless. WHO are you talking to and WHAT are you talking about? You MIGHT have a valid point, but your comment could refer to a dozen "above posters". And even your "clarification" to Vaults really clarifies nothing. When you basically say "I'm not going to get into it, but that's now how it works", you're really saying nothing of value, but in a condescending way.
  4. "I can't remember the exact details but I just remember a lot of people complaining how the author altered the magic issue and I'm thinking "if you don't like it don't download it". That's the view I'm coming from. " Now, I don't build mods or Alpha test them or tweak them, I'm 60+_ and retired... I just want to play the damn game. But HOW CAN YOU KNOW if you'll like a mod if you don't download it? And sorry, but when YOU design a mod that is a game killer, and the problem doesn't show up until later, don't blame those of us when we TELL you that (a true example) removing the doors from the Riverrun inn kills the Dragonborn story line, or that the pretty wall paintings does the same to the Dawnguard expansion. True, we need to be appreciative of mod builders (and we ARE), but mod builders HAVE to understand that when they post a mod, THEY have the responsibility to ensure that it works properly under MOST circumstances, and that a certain amount of tweaking is going to be necessary. The lions share of the responsibility is on the mod creator, NOT on the end user. If you can't do it right, don't do it at all. And THEN feel free to flame us if we whine.
  5. I dumped SKSE and got it to work... in a half as$ way. And I read someone say he loaded MO2 somewhere other than his game folder, but I don't know how that worked.
  6. Pathtopower explained EXACTLY why it's not worth downloading SE just yet. ALMOST every tool necessary got released. SKSE mods work... MOST OF THEM (SOME OF THE TIME, and you don't KNOW what's working and what isn't) Adult mods work IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO FIND THEM And a new HTD engine only works for CERTAIN MODS. Posts are claiming people are dancing in the streets proclaiming "SKYRIM SE IS FIXED! HUZZAH!" and an hour later, 6 hours later, a day later they're reposting a sheepish "I can't get SE to run.". SE has ALWAYS been playable, if you're Gopher or Michael from Gamer Poets. But for most normally skilled modding players, it's not worth it yet. If you read through the Forum posts, you'll find a frightening number of people saying that the game loaded fine, and then crashed. Or it won't level up. Or your character melts in the rain. Or a pestilence has wiped out all of the men and goats in Riften. The game's not going anywhere... I'll wait until they have a STABLE fix. BTW, I downloaded it and got it to work (sort of)... but it's just not worth it.
  7. There is an Xbox modding tool called "Horizon" that will allow you to convert Skyrim mod PC files to a format compatible with the Xbox 360. I don't know any more about it that that, nor do I know where you can find it. I've never tried modding my Xbox version. Good luck.
  8. When I have as many as 4 ads play while I'm trying to watch a single video, I just shut down the page and go do something else... like check other sites for mods. But if you got 8500 complaints in 2 months, how many people didn't complain and just went elsewhere? Most people view the complaint function to be as worthless as the "your call may be monitored for quality assurance" we get from TWC.
  9. I just dl'd a copy (92m) from skyrimwyrmstooth dot en dot softonic.com/download#downloading, but other problems are keeping me from launching my fresh game (my old one was terminally corrupted). I scanned the file before unzipping and then after, with no red flags. Hopefully I can get it launched and checked out within a couple of hours, if not I'm sure there are smarter people than me who can check it out.
  10. You make a valid point, woodsman...except that many of the newer modders have never HEARD the term "game bloat"... neither myself, my 24 year old gamer son nor my 44 year old gamer son have heard it. And I've been lurking her for several months, reading and keeping my mouth shut, and there seems to be pattern of "senior" modders and moderators (not you) who are condescending to less experienced players and their "stupid questions". And that self defeating pattern keeps new players from contributing to the forums, lest someone slap them down with a "use the search feature, you lazy SOD". And as far as "of course people will help", a search of the Forum will reveal SCORES of unanswered posts where nobody bothered to help. And being told to look through 400 posts doesn't help if they don't know WHAT they're looking for.
  11. I don't mean to question you, but I can't help but wonder if your post is a joke or not. I'm running Intel Quad Core i5-6400 2.7ghz 8G DDR3 SDL GeForce 730 2GB Windows 10 64bit with Mod Organizer LOOT SKSE and all associated game files on a separate drive and I crash with 20 frigging mods! But in my own defense, I'm 60+, retired, and my grand-kids aren't available to fix things. How can you people run 100-200 mods?
