  1. 1. I've seen a lot of people using both OBGE and Qarls texture pack, is this easy to do, and does it give you the best of both? 2. All natural does seem to support conversion into an OMOD now but how does it stack up against Natural Environments for example? 3. Do you recommend the Better Cities and Rebuild Kavatch mods? 4. I've not seen any mention of a 3GB/4GB patch for Oblivion, having seen this for all other Bethesda games I own is there one? 5. I can't really tell what the difference is between Realistic Levelling and Oblivion XP, I want to be able to max out my stats, skills and attributes without having to grind, but maxing out around lvl 50-60 so enemies are always challenging is good, which way should I go? Hi, sorry to OP, don't mean to hijack your thread if it happens but I'm in the same boat as you:) I've been looking and searching online for modding guides and have been very spoilt by Gopher's tutorials and I'm pretty much looking for a similar amount of mods, nothing too fancy in terms of ENBs etc. I've been looking through the top files list and there looks like some great mods but I don't really know what I'm looking at (Compared to alternatives/quality etc) so I'd like to just ask for some recomendations. I listened to this advice and got OBMM even though I'm used to NMM now. Got BOSS, not hosted here any more, now BOSS userlist apparently, went elsewhere for BOSS;( Got the Unofficial Patches for everything, bought the GOTY deluxe from steam, 4th purchase of this game (1st RPG love) Got Darnified UI and that's it so far. I'm looking for 1. Graphics- got an AMD HD7970 GHZ edition so I can run most texture packs for FO3/NV and Skyrim so the best packs should be ok for me here too. 2. Sounds- Background noise, music, armour clanking anything that adds to Immersion 3. Face/Body- Not looking for nudity or skimpy stuff but anything that just makes things more realistic looking would be great 4. Weapons/Armour- Love the WMX mods and Immersive Weapons/Armour Mods for the other Bethesda Titles I have 5. UI- Mentioned I had Darnified already but anything else you'd recommend 6. Weather/Sky- I like Nevada Skies a lot as it is very easy to customise so anything similar would be great 7 Anything else you'd consider essential to a great Oblivion Experience, I'd like to keep it as close to the lore as possible but anything that would also help with efficient levelling(can't help it, sorry, am weak) I'd look at too Anyway, apologies again to the OP, maybe you can help with what you've found already, I'll be off to explore the TOP rated files list again for now I guess.

My current load has given me the FWE unique Xuanlong, I do not know yet if the other FWE uniques will appear, as I've only got Sydneys Ultra and Eugene, the Ultra is I think the FWE one but I've never been one for heavy guns and Eugene looks the same. If you've any idea how to fix the pistol sights (M9 Beretta, Browning Hi Power, Colt 1911, Sig Sauer, 14mm), all which don't aim down at eye level but at chest height and which fire high that'd be great?
  5. If you have and know how to use the fo3edit 3.0.15 version and NOT the newer one as it won't do what I need you to do, then there is a fix you can do now to have that weapon. I need to know which mod contains the weapon you like. Then I 'll come back if you respond. Kitty Thanks for the offer, I checked and have the later version of FO3edit.   7. Thanks for the rapid response. Only one of the tracer esp is selected, the inmaginator file says ....it's header is marked as an esm. Put the load order back I think to how it was before I noticed the lacking unique Xuanlong and the Xuanlong is now just a regular vanilla Chinese Assault Rifle, however the other issues I mentioned have gone. Here is the new load order, I hope I can fix it with help, that new Xuanlong looked awesome.....   8. Hi, all has been going reasonably well until I picked up the Xuanlong and found it was an ordinary Chinese Assault Rifle. So I did some moving around with RH Iron Sights and got the proper FWE unique Xuanlong, but then there was no more weapon sway with any of the conventional type weapons, energy weapons still had it.   9. Hi, I'm using the M1 Garand at the moment and there is an unusual bug with the bullet followed in VATS having been replaced with a spent casing. Is there a fix? I'm using all the mods from Gophers tutorials + RH iron sights
  10. Finally took the plunge and installed fallout 3 on the new Win 7 desktop. Followed Gophers modding tutorials and added Iron sights mod, having a blast, thanks :thumbsup:

Rome Total war is truly an awesome game, the multiplayer is only for battles with the campaign being single player, I would recommend getting one of the big mods for historical accuracy though, www.twcenter.net for mods for all the TW series. I'm currently playing Empire Total War, great game.
  13. Just to ask, I cannot view any other pages apart from 1 in the comments view from the main page, clicking any of the other buttons does nothing. No trouble in the forum area though, page selection works fine. Anyone else having this problem?

About Windows live, I'm not familiar with it and have a suspicion I'll dislike it as I'm inclined to distrust most microsoft products, I've seen people recommend a program to remove it, but I think that was recommended for those with the Steam version, I have the latest production boxed GOTY edition, will this make any difference in the install proceedure? Apologies if I should have started a new thread for this, thought was I'm keeping my questions in one place, so why starrt new thread.

I posted about this in response to someone below, mediafire found nothing either, but it's still there, and this is months now. doesn't happen for every d/l, so it appears to be random but it's not. Suggest you get some expert advice and send a warning out by email to all nexus users. Would be very interesting to know if you had done a reformat and it still happened, and the user was also clean, how would the attack be happening? No one has been able to explain that one to me yet. Sorry this has happened to you guys, good luck getting it sorted. P.S in my case it was a fake UK police notice, is the one here FBI only and is it only targeting North American users? This type of attack renders the users PC/laptop useless until it's cleaned so until anyone infected can report via another clean machine or they clean the infected one you won't know I guess.
  16. Hi all, I'm eager to get back to this game after 2 full playthroughs on the Xbox 360 and wishing I'd got a PC to run it. Well I now have more options, I have my old Core 2 Duo 3.0 ghz win Xp 32 SP3 desktop, with 4gb Ram and a new 560ti gfx card which is very good for the old system and my new win 7 64bit with 8 ram and 7970amd card. Having read a lot about installing fallout 3 and it's use of windows live etc I cannot decided which PC to install it on, I think the old one should cope with any mods I may use but I would sacrifice HD etc from the new PC. Any advice, is it easier to install on XP or doesn't it matter. Does the higher res, gfx power make any difference with an older game like this anyway? Cheers, Roach

This is something similar to what was happening to me with mediafire over Christmas, if I tried a 3rd d/l within 10 minutes I'd be redirected to another webpage which didn't look like it belong to mediafire, but wanting the d/l I did eventually click the link, I had my computer locked by the same type of virus as Dark0ne describes. I believe this type of virus is called ransomware, google it for plenty of information. I spent a very long time with my AV company discussing the virus and they've said there is very little they can do about them unless they've come across a similar piece of code before that will flag suspicion. They are all playing a constant catch up game with the criminals. This type of malware exploits Java and flash which are well known to be extremely vulnerable to attack, always keep them up to date. Make sure to have your java settings to not allow any temp files to be stored. I'd suggest you clean your computer with a deep clean AV, make sure it checks all files, rootkit and hidden. Clean out all your temp files before running the scan and delete all internet history and cookies. If it still does this redirection, get the AV company/professional to remotely clean your PC. In my case both my laptop and desktop were clean, but the problem persisted, and mediafire found nothing after sweeping their servers. I learnt to be more careful than I thought I was, at least I was savvy enough to know it was a virus in the first place and not pay the ransom, I won't be clicking links like that at 2am under the influence of alcohol again. Thanks for explaining BOSS for me Brett41, I am using the latest NMM but hadn't installed BOSS or even considered doing so. Same with SKSE, did read a bit on that and my feelings on it are about the same as BobTheBouncer, I'll look at both again today I hope. Yesterday was spent enjoying the experience with the few mods I've already D/L, have to say I'm absolutely stunned by the difference in experience I'm having on PC over PS3, awesome!   19. Hi, thanks for the reply, been doing some d/l with NMM. I have a Gigabyte HD7970 Ghz Edition, 8gb Ram and a iirc a I5 3750k The ENBs look like they change some ini files or something? Is it ok to mess with those if you don't really know what you're changing? What's BOSS? So far I've got the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, the HD 2k textures, realistic lighting, map with roads, static mesh improvement mod. I'm going for the immersive Armours and Weapons next. Not tried installing any of them yet though, how does it work exactly, can I uninstall and install at any point during my game? Cheers :sweat:

Bug fixers and eye candy really, I've had a look at quite a few lists already, but there are so many lists out there and some of the mods are run together for that person to get the best of both which is confusing for me at this time. Also they are often months old now so I thought It would be best to hear from those of you actually playing the game.
  21. Hello all, I read over on the Steam workshop forums that that the Nexus Mod Manager and the nexus forums are the best place to find and install mods for Skyrim. As I've been following some of the mods with envy since playing on PS3 I've finally moved over to PC gaming. I'm not entirely new to mods as I've used several for other games I've owned over the years, using JSGME also sometimes. So, I'm looking to start small, and am looking for essentials and eye candy really, I have a capable rig I think, (running vanilla Skyrim at ultra no probs) and would appreciate some suggestions for maybe up to 10 or so must have mods to get me started. I have looked at Skyrim UI and whilst it looks great I'm not sure I'll need it as I'm using an XBOX controller. I've started a new game and have only got as far as Riverwood, gaining the Claw quest and the one to go to Whiterun to alert the Jarl. Cheers P.S.
