  1. Didn't even realize that there was a mod request forum until now. Don't really know how many modders look at this forum for ideas, but here is my idea for a mod I would have loved to see come to life: You know how in Dungeons and Dragons you are usually a party of at least 3-4 people? You know how in classic jrpg games you usually end up with several party members to choose from, at least 3-4 that does combat at the same time? How cool wouldn't it be for skyrim to function a bit like that? I get that you are the dragonborn, but still, any quest seems to be more fun and rewarding if you are more than one person doing it, right? So I had two ideas for this actually. 1: A mod that lets you start by picking/creating a character like normal, but he would function like a player controlled NPC. You would use him/her as the party face, talking to NPCs and interacting with items like normal, but once in combat the camera would zoom out as an AI picked by the player for this NPC would take over, letting you see the action from a good perspective. You would not directly control him in combat, but rather micromanage outside of combat, setting equipment and behavior to use in combat. Once you had 3-4 partymembers (hired followers) this would probably be preferable to be played together with increased enemy spawn mods. 2: Basically lets you play while the freecam console command is in action, but still allowing you to interact with NPCs and items, your followers would still follow you, but once in combat, you would just be a free floating camera, no actual target for enemies so that you would be free to overview the combat. Well, that's my idea, for what it's worth. I don't know how doable it is, or how interested people would be to play the game like this, but I know that for me, personally it would be a mod I would have loved to see. Thanks to any modders who might let themselves be inspired
  2. Hello  I have always enjoyed party based games and there are some really good mods on nexus that will allow me to hire followers and such. Now, as I make sure to equip my companions as i want them, one dual wielding, one casting magic, one an alchemist, throwing potions left and right, and myself, monk going hand to hand or with spears. We charge into the dungeon stocked with vampires, and other abominations, punching, casting and swinging away! Now I am clicking on my mouse wildly and kinda getting lost in the mess, I am of course using a spawn more mod so that my party won't run over everything. You know what I am thinking? All those awesome moves my companions are doing with that fancy equipment I got them, I can'¨t enjoy watching them do their thing as i am too busy not dying myself. Then I thought, wouldn't it have been wonderful to set my character to swing away himself? So that I could pan the camera around and watch as the battle unfolds? Like an interactive cinematic experience. It would have been nice to push a button and then enable combat AI for the PC himself, so that I can watch my character from all angles, being a real hero. A mod like this was made for Dragon Age, and that is where I got the idea from. Anyone think this sounds like a good idea?
  3. I really wish that there would be an option to enable AI for my own soldiers so I could equip and think up teams, but let them handle the fighting themselves. Always found it appealing to manage your soldiers, but once on the field it's out of your hands. I remember such a mod for dragon age, so perhaps it's possible to make such a mod for xcom enemy unknown as well? Hope I'm not the only one that have been wanting such a mod :P It would surely make for a more cinematic battle experience, for those who likes that.
  4. The way I imagine it would be to someway enable NPC AI for the PC. Would be nice if one could turn it on or off. And yes I would want that, I like that kind of playstyle ;)
  5. You might be mistaking. I am not looking for a way to make my companions start to fight enemies without me, I am rather looking for a way to allow the character I made, fight on his own, without me having to control him/her. >(
  6. This is merely a suggestion for a possible mod. I keep getting followers and after I had a party of 5, I thought that it was starting to feel quite D&D. Then I thought, how awesome it would be if I could simply have made my character fight on his own while I get to watch. I personally love games where you can equip and set up your party, then watch them do their thing. I find that I can enjoy what goes on more since I don't have to focus only on my own character. I don't have any experience when it comes to such modding, but I hope that perhaps there is someone who thinks this sounds like a not hard to do mod and that perhaps they share my idea. So anyways, Auto Combat for Skyrim would have been nice :D
