  1. Ey I don't know if you still have the problem and since it's been a year since I solved it I don't know if this solution works 100% now because things are updated (This solution was using XP32 and not the newer XPMSE). But if you wanna do some trial and error of your own, essentially: 1. Install XPMSE first (which will apply the skeleton to the vanilla races) 2. Navigate to where those new skeleton files are installed: For males it should probably be inside: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets For females it should probably be inside: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets female 2. Open another explorer and navigate to where the meshes of your custom race are (in this case its the noiral race). It will probably have a folder in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\NoiralRace(or whatever your custom race folder is called) 3. Copy the skeleton files from the character assets folder into your noiral race folder For males, the needed skeleton files are: skeleton.hkx, skeleton.nif, skeletonbeast.nif For females, the needed skeleton files are: skeleton_female.hkx, skeleton_female.nif, skeletonbeast_female.nif 4. If it asks you if you want to replace existing files, click replace 5. Now your custom race will have the XPMSE skeleton which will use DSR 6. Run the DSR Patcher again and do all the correct load order stuff that you'd always do with DSR That should probably work if I remember correctly (again, it's been a year and things change). You might have to do some tinkering around but this is at least where you should look.
  2. Wait, hold on a minute. Does anyone have a vanilla skyrim in hand to check and see if their unmodified skyrim.ini in their my games folder has this line? This is because I narrowed the problem to this line which when set to 0, crashes skyrim but when set to 1, doesn't. So I just wanna know if the vanilla skyrim has that line set to 1 and if its supposed to be like that.
  3. Hello, I have quite a bit of mods at the moment (119 to be exact) and some weird things are happening that I just can't even begin to comprehend. When I try to run skyrim, it crashes on the dragon logo that is loading (the menu options haven't appeared yet). However, this is where the confusion unravels, when I type this into the skyrim.ini located in the my games folder, my skyrim actually starts and I can play fine. The lines i put into the skyrim.ini: In short, my skyrim only crashes if I do not have papyrus logging turned on. Just so you know, I ran this tool, Skyrim Mods Complex Optimizer to optimize my Bsa's only. I am 99.99% sure that I installed all my mods correctly and here is the load order if anyone needs it: I'm fairly certain that is the correct load order of all the mods as I ran Loot and the Skyproc Patchers and no missing master notifications have come up. Oh, and here is the text from my most recent papyrus log: Can someone help me so I don't have to turn on papyrus logging to play the game? Thanks in advance
  4. Just reinstalled skyrim to see if running was like that in vanilla, so shocked, it is. Welp, I guess I'm sorry for wasting your time and my time. Time to reinstall those mods now -_-
  5. Oh well, I guess it is a peculiar case. Can you at least confirm that that's not how you run with a weapon drawn in vanilla? Because I've been meaning to see to it that its not otherwise this may have just been a pointless topic. I still have the mods installed and don't want to uninstall everything to find out. I'm using Dual Sheath Redux and Immersive Animations as far as animation mods go.
  6. Should I post any additional information?
  7. Okay then, finally found out that it was a project file so I converted it to a movie file thing. Here it is, however bad in quality it may be, at least you can visualize whats wrong. View My Video After watching: Now if you didn't see it, here's whats wrong. After running left and/or right, if I run straight, the character's head bobs in a weird fashion and the body is also pretty weird. However if I run straight without going left or right, I run normally. This goes for the custom races and normal races.
  8. So I've managed to get a recording of it, but I don't know how to attach it. The basic uploader doesn't allow me to upload a Movie Maker Project as that's what I've recorded it as. Any help on how to upload it?
  9. Okay, so I think it would be easier to just refer to my last post to tell anyone where I'm at (http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2521839-need-help-with-dual-sheath-redux-and-pcea/) in terms of mods. I finally got DSR working with Custom races but... whenever I run left and right and go back to running straight, my character does some weird animations like going up and down. It's kind of hard to explain but I don't think a screenshot would do it justice since it's an ongoing motion. This happens with custom races and normal races. Thanks in advance.
  10. YAY, finally got it! For reference, this is what I did: NOTE: XPMS is already installed for the normal races before hand so it transfers those skeleton files I copied all the skeleton files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\CustomRaces\CustomNord (Replace Custom Nord with whatever custom race you are using or you can install it in all of them so they all work with the mod) Also, if you want this to work for females you copy the files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets female into (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\CustomRaces\CustomNord (again, replace with the custom race you use or put it in all the races if you want them to all do it) Also, I don't know if you have the same files inside the character assets as me so here's what I copied into the custom race folder: skeleton.hkx skeleton.nif skeletonbeast.nif and from the character assets female folder I had: skeleton_female.hkx skeleton_female.nif skeletonbeast_female.nif And then FINALLY: If you want only your character to have the swords on back or whatever from DSR and not NPCs, uninstall the XPMS skeleton with Nexus mod manager or whatever you use. Hope this helped. Oh, and if you load the game and DSR pops up and says Patch not found or something to that extent, load the DSR Patch after DSR.
  11. Hmm, just saw this post (http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2138789-custom-races-dsr-pcea-work-together/) and going to try it out. Seems like it might work.
  12. The great wonders of skyrim mod testing, am I right? Anyways, I've also tried putting all the files from Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets into that custom races folder yet nothing worked. Maybe I'm putting it into the wrong folder (Skyrim\Data\textures\CustomRaces\CustomNord is where I'm putting it right now) A second opinion would also be nice to find out the way if someone else is more experienced with this sort of thing.
  13. I also see two different types of files, skeleton.nif and skeleton.hkx, do I put both in that path? I tried putting one of the skeletons into that path but nothing changed so I will try with the other skeleton files.
