  1. I would suggest not to install mods manually. Always install mods either with NMM or MO.
  2. I don't know why my Skyrim is doing this to me, but I am losing all my hope at fixing this problem. So I try install Serana face replacer mod well ofcourse it doesn't work. Okay so I remove both my face and body texture mods and even the unp blender and try to install it again and see if Serana has changed, but nope nothing her face is still vanilla. I am out of ideas. I've cleaned master files, removed body/face texture mods, load order is fine, reset archiveinvalidation etc. Nothing absolutely nothing. Could anybody have any idea what is causing this. New game doesn't affect at all because the face replacer should work right away. I tried to even disable Serana with console and enable her, but still the same face. PROBLEM SOLVED! Atlast and I hope it is permanent fix. I only needed to add the face replacer mod last on the load order, but it wasn't mentioned in the modpage. So now if somebody has a same kind of problem here is a simple solution.
  3. Well he said he was getting black/pink textures so obviously he has the old mods overwriting the new ones so I just gave advice to start from the bottom. Hey I just try to be helpful. With the long post I made atleast he wont be getting those textures anymore if he installs mods like I have. My Skyrim 100% stable atm with over 100 plugins and more to come.
  4. reinstall dual sheath redux and make the dual sheath redux patch.
  5. No need to disable merge patch you just need to be sure the bashed patch is lower than merge patch or competely remove leveled items and leveled NPCs from the merge patch with tes5edit. Bashed patch handles leveled lists better than merge patch.
  6. The biggest mistake what new mod installers make is that they install every single 4k texture pack and heavy script mods and then they wonder why their game isn't working. I can give my advice how to get the best stable modded Skyrim you will ever have! 1. uninstall skyrim, remove the skyrim file from steam completely so nothing isn't left behind, remove skyrim, ini and skyrimprefs.ini. Now install Skyrim again and after it is installed start Skyrim let it configurate settings, then open graphics settings and turn AF and AA off and if you have FXAA on turn it off too (do this only if you use ENB). 2. add SKSE files to Skyrim folder (not into the Data file!!!) and make a shortcut to your desktop. Now go to skyrim data folder and find the SKSE folder and make a new ini file called "SKSE.ini" and inside that file add these lines: 3. Now to the master file cleaning. Here is a link: Gopher explains the cleaning much better than I do. 4. Now to the most fun part mod installing. Okay first you should definitely install the unofficial patches for main game and all the dlcs you have and if you have hi-res dlc (it is free) installed too download hi-res unofficial patch too. Now after you have installed these patches install Skyrim Project Optimization. Alright now you have a bit more stable Skyrim. Alright now to installing the REAL mods. This is where my only advice is that you install maybe15-20 well maybe even 30 mods first and before you install check that you have everything that the mods require and that they are compatible with each other. 5. Alright now you have installed lets say 20 mods and you want to make Skyrim even more stable, well there is 2 simple solutions, merge patch and batched patch. First lets make a merge patch. Go to tes5edit, select all plugins except if you are using Dual sheath redux, ASIS or you already have batched patch remove those from the list. Okay now the tes5edit loads these mods and shows "finished". Now scroll to the bottom and select the last mod and right mouse click, go to "others", select merge patch and just press yes if it says "it is not supported" bla bla, type the name you want for the file, then the tes5edit adds the mods to merge patch and then you are finished. 6. heres a link for "how to make batched patch" and this one gives better details about bashed patch. I recommend to install it: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36189/? 7. Some good advices to keep Skyrim always stable. Okay first always install 2-3 mods when you want to add more mods to your game and make merge patch and bashed patch again, but don't do this if the mods are only texture mods. second testing if your Skyrim is stable, open console type tcl, tgm, player.forceav speedmult 900, player.forceav stamina 9999. Now run around the whole skyrim maybe kill few people on the way to see if your Skyrim is stable and doesn't crash. third sort your plugins always with LOOT. Everytime when you install new mod that adds plugins use LOOT. If you start to have crashes with your Skyrim uninstall the latest mods you installed. You should only clean mods if the mod author says in his/hers page to clean the files or that LOOT says that the plugin can be cleaned otherwise just let the mods be. Okay I think that is all I can tell. I might have forgot somethings, but with this long post you should handle yourself quite nicely CHEERS!
  7. they are both completely different things. Bashed patch merges all leveled npc and leveled items from other mods to work together and patchus maximus patch is only to work properly with other mods.
  8. This sounds interesting! I will try it out definitely! Thank you very much  Edit: I tried both, but no luck at all. I thought maybe the problem is because I used texture blender for UNP dimonized and WoS and I added mipmaps with texture optimizer because I was getting black body texture.
  9. download interesting npcs manually from the modpage then make new folder to the desktop and add all the files from the interesting npcs.rar to this folder, now u need to change this folder to rar file. Now you go to NMM and press the "add mod from file" select the folder you just changed to rar. The mod now should be at "unassigned" folder in NMM.
  10. women of skyrim isn't plugin. It only adds meshes and textures same goes with the UNP dimonized.
  11. I am using Women of Skyrim female face textures and companions. Obviously it adds new textures to female faces and I runned into this kind of a problem. If I try to install replacer mod example I install Lydia by beans which changes her appearance. Well the problem is that her face doesn't change at all. So my conclusion is that the WoS overrides these replacer mods esps and it doesn't allow the Lydia by Beans mod to change her appearance. The WoS only contains mesh file and texture file.
  12. and I might add one thing too. After you have installed all the mods you want, clean master files (there is tutorial in youtube by Gopher), check from the mod authors if their mod can be cleaned with tes5edit if there are dirty edits and do a merge patch and ofcourse do batched patch and use LOOT like Demonikone said. My game is as stable as it can get by doing all this and I add every day few mods. Yeah and one thing too when you want to add more mods install maybe 2-3 mods at a time and then test your skyrim if it is stable and then you can add more.
  13. I might have found a solution. I thought this some time. I noticed that the women of skyrim mod adds new meshes and textures. There aren't any esps so obviously those files in Skyrim meshes and textures overwrites the esps from those replacer mods that I installed after and that is the reason why the replacer mods aren't working. So my solution is that I uninstall women of skyrim and the UNP, install these replacer mods first, then I reinstall unp and women of skyrim, use texture blender. So now the only thing is could this fix my problem? Didn't work so now I am out of ideas so I would appreciate if somebody has an idea for this problem.
  14. I can't figure it out what is causing this problem. I have installed 3 replacer mods for 2 followers and 1 for npc. MODS: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20564/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12106/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20037/? I checked all of these characters and none of them had any changes except Delphines face turned darker and caused neckseam. I use UNP dimonized and Women of Skyrim UNP and I blended them together with unp blender and added mipmaps with texture optimizer. This problem is something completely new for me and I can't figure it out. I have in the past installed replacer mods without any problem so I don't know what is up now. I hope it is something simple that I just don't notice and before you ask, yes all plugins are active  If you need more info I will give you that. Cheers! :^D LOAD ORDER:
  15. load order would be nice. Have you checked if LOOT gives any errors? Like when you sort plugins and scroll to the bottom of the list and it shows how many messages there are and how many errors and so on.
  16. Or you don't understand my point, but like I said 1 million times problem solved. end of story.
  17. Yeah I apologize for my words. In the end it was pretty easily fixed when I just googled a lot of stuff about black body textures and so on. It was quite a common problem.
  18. I would suggest to reinstall climates of tamriel, choose the brightest night option and then download Realistic Nights and pick the night darkness option that fits you the best (there is 5 options for nights). CoT night options add very dark tint only and that is the reason why your light sources get very dim. You can tweak the enbseries.ini I don't remember the lines that affect nights brightness, but check from s.t.e.p enb wiki what lines you should edit to get brighter nights. Here is a link: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENB. Hope that helps. ps. Realistic nights has a compatibility patch for CoT when the install setup pops up.
  19. Did you even read the whole info I gave? It is not problem with my vram when my whole pc is using max 2gb out of 4gb. http://i.imgur.com/PccTF.jpg This is what the problem looks like close up. It fades away a bit and when I look from far away it is completely black. I might have fixed the problem (need to test first) I tweaked the config.xml file from the unp body blender mod. The author of this mod gave instructions how to fix this problem if you get black head/body. PS. next time read the whole thread before giving advices. you SAID here it is only using 2 of your 4g vram... maybe, if you know so fn much, you should stop asking for help then telling people they dont know wtf they are talking about.... I have a name for people like that, its askhole... Basically man, its simple, your machine ISNT top end, its about the same as mine and I HAD issues like this with memory, there are 2-3 basic possible issues and solutions 1: your mods arnt installed proper like 2: your machine is eating memory or spending it elsewhere rather than skyrim ( possible background programs? ) but im personally over it, I have seen several people try and help you jsut to see you tell them they dont know s*** from dick.... good luck fixing your problem happy skyrim Seriously are you mentally handicapped or can't you just read? I already fixed the problem and I still don't have any clue wtf is my vram usage got to do with the F***in textures. What ever dude I don't need your help because obviously you can't explain properly and you can't read at all.

Dude, Its generally not polite to be rude to people tryna help... you will find they stop trying to help pretty quick when you are... but the slight aside... your machine isnt any better than mine, and if you think about it.... Texture packs etc PLUS view distance and cached cells... 2 gb dont go far.... I would personally suggest you look into your systems virtual memory settings and available hardrive space ALSO... Again Metaton with a pearl of wisdom, IF by chance you use HD ultimate fire which is how many repeats of a 2k texture per second of fire.... plus you have ALL 2k textures... not to mention the size of what ever textures are used ON the models... imma put it this way man, my asus hexcore with 4g graphics and 16gb of ram... STILL has an issue after a while... maybe look at adding THESE lines to you SKSE.INI [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 It basically causes the game to PCB or "purge cell buffers" every now and then, you may find your loading more often BUT it may help with your stability [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 I always add that line to SKSE.ini when I mod Skyrim, but thanks anyway. "but the slight aside... your machine isnt any better than mine, and if you think about it.... Texture packs etc PLUS view distance and cached cells... 2 gb dont go far...." I am not sure what you mean? the vram on my graphics card is 4gb not 2gb.

I didn't give any advice. RAM is not the same as VRAM. Whoever told you otherwise, has misinformed you. When the game runs low on RAM, textures aren't going to be affected. The game will just crash. And posting all that stuff doesn't eliminate your hardware from the problem entirely. I don't think I can help you anyway as you sound like one of those guys who can't accept that their monster card isn't so badass after all. I've had the black texture problem with a 1GB 560Ti, which occurs after long hours of play as well and this is when I've used 968MB of my VRAM. I use CBBE, which isn't really heavy on textures(poly count FOR THE MESH is 6k only, textures is 2048x2048. That isn't a whole lot. 4024x4024 is when things get crazy) Remember.. you have other things in the game that your card HAS TO RENDER. I don't know what you are on about. I know the difference between RAM and VRAM and if statistic show how much my whole system is using vram and ram or are you saying that the program is lying? the problem isn't on my system the problem is on the game and I am not even going close to the 3,1gb limit (skyrim memory limit) and I know how to tweak Skyrim because I read the descriptions for mods and if I get a problem I found a solution or start all over again. Nevertheless I fixed the problem. I just uninstalled my body texture mods and the blender, reinstalled them, blended the body,feet/head and added mipmaps with texture optimizer. Played over an 1h and half without any problems. There problem solved. No need to call me rude if I say something that is true. People doesn't always read properly what people type to the thread and I've had to deal with this too many times and that is the reason why I get pissed off. Yes I'm sorry if I offended you. okay time to calm down. Thanks for the help all! cheers!
  22. I added few other mods while I reinstalled those body mods so that is why I remake them, but thanks for the info any way.
  23. No lighting mods. Save cleaning won't help because it is texture problem and not script problem. I am going to try add mipmaps to my female body textures and compress the quality from 4k to 2k, ofcourse I am not sure what the body quality is, but I am still going to try. If that won't help I will unistall everything and start from the bottom. Looks like I fixed the problem. I played about 15 minutes to test it. So here is my fix: First I uninstalled UNP, Women of Skyrim and the UNP texture blender, then I reinstalled them, okay simple thing, then I went to the texture blender and made the blending with the tool for head, body+feet. Okay after this I opened the texture optimizer and added mipmaps for every files in skyrim folder "skyrim/data/textures/actors/characters" and choosed one by one every female file (darkelffemale, highelffemale etc.) okay after I've done that I opened tes5edit, made merge patch and after that remake bashed patch and activated those plugins. I changed the load order with LOOT and tested for 15min by killing few bandits and fast travelling to few places and no black textures. Last time when I tried to see if my problem was fixed the black textures appeared after 5 minutes and when I first tried the fix I made the mipmaps before I blended the textures. Well lets hope no more black textures appears because it would be boring to uninstall everything and install all the mods again.

  25. I added all these mods first then made batched and merge patch and started a new game. I tried to make mipmaps with texture optimizer and hoped that the problem would been fixed, but nope still changed to black body after fast travelling to new location.
