Hi! I have a similar issue. I can import and export (after I import edited mesh into ModMaker, a message comes up telling me it's been successfully imported), yet there is no preview shown and does not turn up in-game. I have both the SlimDX mentioned above installed. After checking, I realized that I too have DirectX12 on my computer. Coincidence, or is there an issue with DX12 and modding? Does anyone who sees this have a solution? I've been combing the internet, troubleshooting guides, and forums, but cannot seem to find an answer that helps me.
