  1. Hey, just wondering if modding and mods are still borked from those Bethsoft scuzzlords and their never ending quest to bilk people for every penny they can off other people's work and destroy the modding community? I've had my Steam in offline mode since I heard about the update. Thankfully I had it set to only update on launch with the app data thing to block updates but I'm very paranoid so I go online every few days to update other days and they offline again, just in case. Everything is still fxcked I'm guessing?
  2. Okay, thank you for that very detailed reply. That actually helps a lot. The versions being wonky had really thrown me for a loop. I also must not have the "real" AE because I only have the fishing and such, not a bunch of other junk.
  3. Okay, fantastic. That is very helpful. I will absolutely be using MO2 as it is excellent. Getting used to the different concurrent version issue is going to be my biggest problem. Although I can say I'm not looking forward to chasing down conflicts, that's for sure.
  4. Hi, it's been several years since I've modded Skryim and I'm wondering how different it is and if there are any new guides out there? I don't even understand the difference between to SE and Anniversary Editions and there effects on mods. I didn't buy the AE and have version 1.6.640 so am I able to use all SE mods or are they limited? I can't seem to find that anywhere. I see we're still using MO2, Wrye Bash, FNIS, SKSE, etc. So that is good and should get me off to a handy start once I find out the game version differences and any new and useful info. I thought the AE had to be purchased and set up with there account but it's just there without me having touched the game in 3 to 4 years. Please point me to any guides, posts or utilities that would benefit someone that's gone noob again lol. I was always a heavy modder using hundreds of mods and was thus extremely patient, precise and cautious, tested rigorously and always had a stable loadout , so I do not intend to step a toe in willy nilly now. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. MODMINS - apologies if this theme has a thread, please refer me and lock this if I posted stupidly. Thanks.
  5. Really? Crap. I thought that was the first place I looked. Guess not or I wasn't thorough. I gave up for a while because I've been working so much but I guess I better get back to it and update my mods for the new system. Thank you so much.
  6. Nobody has any info? Bummer. Although it seems like just mostly askers on here and not many doers. Well, I'll find it eventually I suppose. Just was hoping someone else might have come across it while looking through the files.
  7. Did you have any luck finding any of the NPC wake info in the files? Similarly I want to change their routine and wake those lazy peasants up at the crack of dawn like they should be. I haven't found the info yet though.
  8. Hey modders, does anyone know where the info on NPC schedules is located. I don't know if I'm just missing it or what. I want to see if I can wake up people earlier. I mean, seriously? Does everyone need to sleep until 8:30 in the morning? Crack of dawn. Get up, lazy peasants! I have been spending what free time I have looking for this info but haven't found it yet. I want historically accurate peasants that get up before dawn to get dressed and ready for work and eat their measly breakfast and are working by dawns first light.
  9. Because a couple people asked I have made a little guide to start people on the path to modding items. It includes a file structure example to base your modding out of and a general guide and an example weapon mod with a create along guide to replicate the example mod for yourself. This will teach you the basics of how to modify item stats like armour, weapons, jewelry and other stuff. The general guide is more for very inexperienced people who have no folder for modding yet and may not be familiar with Notepad++ or 7zip but it is still worth a glance just because it will be referenced in the Create with Me work along guide. This file is free for all to use and edit how they like or to make new guides off of if it's useful. I really hope I did a decent job at it but I don't know. If this resource is considered useful you may all use it in any way you can to benefit the community. There is no permissions or anything on it, it's a resource anyone could make - I do not own the rights to realizing how to do stuff. If you want to use it and credit me as inspiration for the base file then thank you for that but it isn't required. It's also not made by an experienced modder, just by little noob me, so it might not be amazing like some of the great guides out there but it's a start. I uploaded it to the Nexus under my Capon's Bow Improved mod's Miscellaneous files. If you have never used Notepad++ and made an xml based mod or any other mod don't feel intimidated, it is actually very quick and easy. You can do many things with ease. Maybe not complicated stuff but some things. I don't know much about real, fancy mods like you see in Skyrim and Witcher 3 but I can whip off a shop edit in Witcher 2 or upgrade an item stat just fine in this game. That means anyone can do it, because I am not talented at it.
