  1. I didn't enjoy purifying the sanctuary, but (when all is said and done) you signed up to be a cold blooded murderer. If you can't carry out orders, and you don't have to join, just use the dagger to despatch ghosts until you get a better weapon. To you folk who resurrect people, you still killed them initially didn't you - LOL, you think that makes it all okay? Yeah, what a dreadful end to the quest line though, 200 septims, and to top it all - no more Luck bonus from the statue. Mind you, all the main quests end ridiculously IMHO.
  2. Wow! to you too Carah, I just went to my profile and saw my very first comment is from a beautiful lady.

    TYVM and take good care...

  3. I recently installed tessara's (eshme 3.0) mod as per her README (you really ought to go see tessmage.com) and didn't, and still haven't, encounter any problems at all. On the point of installation order, this last weekend I totally wiped and re-installed Oblivion. This time I (experimentally) installed the DLC numerically - apart from The Fighters Stronghold, which is not on the disk - and all former glitches like locked mystic emporium doors etc. have gone away. Now , there's food for thought. Incidentally, I always install DLC after my own little tweaks and, really quite far reaching, bigger mods like tessara's immediately after Shivering Isles and KOTN. In short, what I am saying is, a lot of problems can be prevented by actually reading the readme.txt even if you are fully conversant with the directory structure of the game. Happy gaming everyone. BTW - I LOVE my new look mystic Elf thank you tess, Er ... what's with the pumpkins? LOL.
  4. I don't know if this is relevant, it's certainly not a cure by any stretch of the imagination, but I had a corrupted game recently which I solved in the weirdest of ways. I even reloaded and checked that it wasn't just a fluke. I'm posting as (IMHO) collective glimmers of light often shine a whole ray. As I was leaving Kvatch, with Martin, I experienced a CTD. Hmmm ... then, when I took the easy option (Tele Straight to Weynon Priory) I .. erm ... experienced a crash to desktop. I decided it must be one of the items I'd pilfered from the castle not wanting to change cell. The reasoning behind this was from a previous experience when taking all the books from the Bravil Mages Guild and triggering a CTD as I left with my free samples. First I dropped all the books on the floor and departed on foot and then by teleportation. No CTD. Repeated this excersise with .... To cut a long story of epic logical duration short, it was a silver goblet causing my CTD. I determined that it is not the weight you carry that causes this particular CTD problem but, indeed, the number of items you are carrying. I'm convinced there is some limiting factor (number of strings available) that makes the game engine splutter, baulk and die in much the same way as items continue to dissappear and reappear in my numerous chests spread throughout Cyrodiil. Good luck all.
