  1. I am playing Skyrim AE on Series X and have many mods installed and have a very stable game except "cutting room floor" mod which adds the small hamlet of "Heljarchen" to the map right next to the vanilla Nightgate inn. When I visit there there is a serious landscape glitch where the land is raised and glitches into the mod added blacksmith shop. Am I the only one who experiences this? Is there a fix? I am very experienced modding Bethesda games but this glitch has me stumped. I've watched videos where people have CRF installed and visit this location and do not have this glitch? I have gone through ALL my mods and disabled any that could possibly impact this location (Lanterns of Skyrim II, Veydogolt grasses, Landscape fixes for grass mods) and still the glitch persisits. I have NO architecture mods that modify this area of the map. The ONLY thing that fixes this glitch is disabling CRF which then removes this hamlet and blacksmith. I KNOW that CRF can't be causing the glitch because CRF specifically ADDED this hamlet and blacksmith shop and works fine for everybody else? Its very perplexing why this is happening? I can't help thinking that maybe the ported mod from PC (Nexus) was ported to Xbox in a bugged state and just needs fixing? Anyone else have this issue on Xbox with CRF installed? Anyone know a fix? ( )
  2. Solved...so normally I use SKSE to start Skyrim but this time I used the launcher and saw a message at the bottom "checking subscribed mods" and then saw that it listed a mod from Steam called "Arcanaeum Bookcase Key" which is what the .esp was for. The weird thing is I ONLY use NMM to download and install mods? I never subscribed to this mod?..or any mods from steam?...I don't even go into the steam Skyrim workshop to peruse mods....ever...so not sure why this was subscribed? No one else has access to my account....very odd.
  3. So I was installing a mod in Skyrim "Mystical Illumination - Glowing Signs" and I had to then uninstall and reinstall it and when I opened up NMM I saw an .esp at the bottom of my load order that was unchecked which I don't remember even messing with. It is called "arcanaeumkey8.esp". I have no clue where this came from or why it was unchecked? It literally appeared from nowhere? I can't even fathom what mod this is associated with? I have 191 plug-ins and I don't remember ever installing one with this .esp? Anyone have any clue as to what mod this may be?
  4. I'm trying to find a mod I swear I saw on the FO:NV nexus site that fixes it when a companion/follower gets struck while walking...like if theres a low wall in front of it and it just tries to keep walking into the wall and wont stop. This happens to my companion sometimes and its friggen annoying. I thought i saw a mod that fixes this?
  5. So I'm not the only one? I'd like to understand why that 1 key? friggen Bethesda.
  6. Fer cryin' out loud! I meant backslash...not backspace! My bad! I can't bind my backslash key?
  7. Why does FO:NV not let me remap the backspace key to whatever I want? I can remap any other key on my keyboard except that one? If I try I get a message saying "That key cannot be remapped".....but its not mapped to anyting? So wtf? :nuke: I want to use it to open/close my pipboy.....why is this the only friggen key that I cant change and that has no use in the game as it is? makes no sense
  8. I completed the quest "Darkenss Returns". In the Twilight Sepulcher there is a square stone called the "nightingale archery stone" which you can activate but there is no indication of what it does? It makes a sound and other than that I have no clue what it's purpose is? Anyone know?
  9. I am trying to mod the compass to make it like the "skinny" compass in the "less intrusive hud" mod. I cannot figure out where any of the hud textures are? I unpacked the skyrim-textures.bsa but there don't seem to be any of the hud textures in there at all? I am using ihud for skyrim and tried using immersive hud mod too but for me it was just not compatible with ihud....too many features of immersive hud did not work, so I figured I'll just make a simple mod myself to make the compass skinny...but i can't figure out where the damn textures are stored at? would appreciate some help.
  10. Ok. The heading indicator is part of the compass bracket. If you turn off the bracket in Ahud you will not see that...no biggee as I can just read what the compass says to know what direction I'm heading. EDIT: I have the fix! I messaged "dimsy92" on the FO:NV nexus site because he made the "Neat HUD" mod which fixed this. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/51750//? He wrote back with the fix. It's a texture named "hud_compass_alphamap". He has a fixed version of the texture in his mod. I just copy/pasted it to my F03 texture\interface\hud folder and it is looking good. (see pic) http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/7434/oad2.jpg
  11. This is an actual screenshot. I don't know what you mean by "heading indicator"? This is how the compass looks if you use DarnUi and Ahud and turn off brackets and move the compass from its vanilla position. It works great except for the faded right side...which is the same in the vanilla hud...compass is faded on the right side. It's not caused by Darn or aHud, its just the way the texture for the compass was made.
  12. The one thing that drives me up the wall (due to my ocd) is that the compass has a faded look on the right side (see pic below). It's fine if your using the vanilla HUD setup, but if your using DarnUi, iHud and aHud it is really annoying. I have the compass in the top/center of my screen and having it solid on the left and faded on the right irks me :nuke: . I have opened every compass texture both vanilla and DarnUi and tried to fix it but nothing works. I cannot do it, but maybe someone else can? If so please post any steps or mod. thank you very much. http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/6647/v396.jpg
  13. Well..I figured it out. It was Firefox. I added this site to the exceptions list to allow cookies and now I'm not getting logged off. I still don't know why Firefox is bugging? I have my settings to always accept all 3rd party cookies. I do not block cookies from any website. I visit many forums/websites and never have a problem. Also as stated earlier, millions use Firefox...so why is no-one else having this problem? Why only this site does the Fox F* me? Why only this site do I have to manually add it as an exception? weird. Oh well...case closed.
