  1. Hey everyone, I bought fallout 4 the day it came out and even back then it had bad performance for me. I quit after a while due to my school work taking up so much of my time and now I can finally play again. However, as soon as I load up fallout 4 fresh install on steam, the game is all choppy, stuttering and just overall bad performance even though I have a good system: I7 6700k 16gb Ram 500gb SSD w/ fallout GTX 980 so I have no idea what's wrong. I've tried various ini tweaks, vsync but not luck. I have a 144hz monitor but I use it at 60hz just because of skyrim and this game having problems at higher fps. I'm not sure what is causing the problem, I've tried turning settings down but it still has problems so I'm not sure what to try next.
  2. Thanks for the heads up! Just curious though, under what ba2 is Curie's model located? I've checked each of the texture files, as well as mesh and material files...I might just be glossing over it due to the amount of entries though. Honestly, I'd be happy enough just to turn her blonde, maybe give her the "Punk/Furiosa" haircut... EDIT: just found out about the "slm" command from this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/616/? In tandem with the ID you just provided, I can adjust her in-game! Thanks! Looks like Bethesda has finally given us the option to change looks of npcs in game! Hey thanks for this! I will be using this until the CK comes out.
  3. Would really love to change Curies hair but without the creation kit I can't figure out how. I've tried using the command showlooksmenu and it opens up on her however changing anything doesn't have any physical effect on her. The only aspect that I can see a physical change is when going to the body section of the looks menu and changing her body size, so I know I have her open in the looksmenu but her hair or face cannot be changed it seems. Anyone know of another way to do this?
  4. Oblivion is my favorite game out of the elder scrolls series. It was also my first elder scrolls game. I loved skyrim at launch, but the hype died down long ago and I miss the fantasy/bright look of oblivion. Skyrim just seems so damp and dreary compared to oblivion. I have tried going back to oblivion but I just can't get used to the combat/general clunkiness feel. Are there any mods that make skyrim look like oblivion? Trees, lighting, architecture maybe, anything really. I appreciate any input, thanks!
  5. What do I have to do to change a Normal Summon into a "permanent" summon that will stay where it is summoned?
  6. Is it possible to Spawn in NPC's using a spell? Basically a alternative to the placeatme command. Just spawn a NPC in and he stays there until killed. Also has anyone figured out what it is about spawning NPC's in through the placeatme command that causes savegame bloat? Is it the fact that the command is used or is it just all the bodies that are left, but if they get cleaned up wouldn't that fix the problem and avoid bloat?
  7. Yeah it's just that my computer should be able to run it, turning the graphics down is very depressing
  8. I have vsync on, capped at 60 FPS I turned shadows from ultra to low and there is a significant improvement But still some stutter in some cases such as from the top of the castle looking down. Is there anything else I can do?
  9. But the thing is I tried this on a new install with only one mod, become jarl of ivarstead by locaster and I'm sure his mods are clean
  10. Well i have Vsync on in the nvdidia control panel, also i just tried - running skyrim from default launcher, no SKSE mods only 1 mod active to test (jarl of ivarstead) still stuttered at the castle, so its not my mod loader. -tried disablign all mods except that one in the mod loader, still did it, so its not a mod conflict - i have vsync on so that should help, All settings on the launcher maxed except FXAA because i don't know what that is.
  11. Well first of all i have a Decent rig that i know can handle skyrim. I7 3770k 16gb RAM 1866 2 TB HDD 64GB SSD (with skyrim on it) 750w PSU GTX 780 Superclocked Gigabyte GA-Z87x-D3H Z87 - I play on a fresh install of skyrim with all my mods loaded in Mod organizer which if you don't know, has a "virtual" data directory that it loads the mods from so they aren't actually in my data folder overwriting anything. - I have alll the Official DLC latest SKSE, all LEGAL versions. -I have only about 20 or so Mods active, none of which are graphic mods, they are just addons' houses, spells, etc... -I love house mods but whenever i download most of them, any that are pretty big when i go to the house it STUTTERS, i mean i don't know why its like the game hates me, every house that i think looks nice stutters and i can't play with stutter its terrible. Everyone else says it works fine for them , examples are Sjel Blad Castle, stutters at the front gate when i look at the stable area. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41612/? Jarl of Ivarstead mod, stutters everytime i look up at or near the castle, especially the center part http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51633/? Riverhelm, in the market section major stutter, and outside just walking around normall at the front gates stutter. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16374/? I play on a HDTV by Sansui, using a standard HDMI cord plugged into my GPU, ive tried differant cords and differant TV's as well no luck, i don't know if switching to a PC monitor would change anything but i doubt it. I honestly have no idea what is wrong, i have the newest GPU driver (not beta) and use BOSS for my load order. i just am a bit upset that i spent all this money (that i worked hard to get) and then end up with a imperfect experience, i have been dreaming of getting a gaming PC since i was 7 and when i finally get one, well this happens. If anyone can help i really need it, if you need any more information please ask.
  12. Im having the exact same problem but only with certain mods that introduce locations like castles and basically abunch of stuff on scree, but i have a perfect PC to handle it, no on else is having stuttering problems on these mods except me -_- ill make a new thread i don't want to hijack yours. sorry
  13. Use BOSS to organise your load order if you don't already. Simple and easy to set up but saves you ALOT of hassle from organizing your load order.
  14. Do you use any mods? I have thus happening to me as we'll and I "think" it might be skyre conflicting with another of my mods.
  15. I've been playing around with npc battles and I don't know if its a game limitation or my pc, but whenever I spawn around 100ish npc's and have them fight, I get like 10 FPS, is this normal I would appreciate if you guys could tell me how many you guys can get on screen and fighting. Thanks. Btw my system I7 4770k stock 16gb 1866 RAM 2tb HDD 64gb SSD Gtx 780 Superclocked Running skyrim on a hdmi cord to my TV at 1360x768
  16. I got abunch of graphic mods but can't decide on a ENB for a fantasy beautiful looks. I was using realvision but since I had to reinstall skyrim (not from realvision) I've decided to try something else. Thanks for any tips
  17. just need some quick help on how i should go about making a spell that when activated will summon a PERMANENT creature via the placeatme command. i just don't know how to do that. any help from proffesionals please?
  18. May I ask which mods you have that allow you to create a army? Would be very for sure :)
  19. First of all, skyrim a graphics are a amazing leap from previous tes games, just saying ;). Second to answer your question, Go here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936 It's a ENB that you DON'T have to use, there are plenty of ENBs out there but some require setup that may confuse ppl. However if you scroll down the page you will see he has compiled a list of graphic mods, and in what order to install them which is amazing. Just go through the provided list (with links!) and install The ones you want. Be careful to read the instructions on Each mod you download as some require more mods/Ini tweaks such as Bert's flora overhaul. But if you get through that list the payoff is amazing, even more so once you get a ENB. To give you idea of performance, I have a gtx 780 Superclocked , 16gb ram, i7 4770k, 64gb SSD, 2tb HDD, And get constant 50+ as in its never gone below 50 and is usually 60+ So just follow the download install list and your all set.
  20. Wow, Thanks!!!! Mindi is beautiful!! Deffinently getting her. Thanks can't believe I've never seen her before!
  21. Mod organizer is AMAZING. You can make multiple profiles for yourself and your wife so when each of you play just select your mod profile, and it loads up all your mods and changes you made. Each is personalized, each profile even has its own Ini file.
  22. Yeah I know about vilja, AMAZING follower but I don't like the way she looks but maybe one of the alternate appearances is worth it. Thanks
  23. Thanks for the list but I prefer ppl added from a mod as I've seen almost everyone from the main game and the closest my dovahkiin approved of was Serana, illia (the witch), muiri, and ysolda. Are there any good retextures for them maybe?
  24. Very good! I love skyres conjuration perks but hate all the things skyre messages with otherwise which is why I prefer requiem. Keep up the great work!
