  1. I have the mod 'better power armor - a power armor overhaul' which makes power armor pretty much invincible which is how I imagine it should be. The problem is that when people shoot me, I don't take damage, but my player still grunts like he is being shot or hit and doesn't match the mod. How do I remove the *grunt* sound either: a) while i'm in power armor (somewhat ideal) b) when I don't take damage (ideal) c) completely (last resort) Thanks for the help. BTW I think the sound is a *grunt* sound in playervoicemale01
  2. I can't find any information on this bug. Some of the female NPCs in the game have brown foreheads. It only does this when I have this mod installed: apachii npc overhaul. Not sure what to do. Thanks guys.
  3. I will try another gpu. I tried installing the game on two different solid state drives. Haven't tried a hdd yet. SKSE 1.7 didn't do anything. UPDATE: I put in a nice nvidia gpu and it still does the same exact thing. Really don't know what to do guys. I'm currently downloading fonv to see if it does it. I never remember this while playing any other bethesda game but I simply can't play this game if it's doing this. I'll just play fallout. Let me describe what is happening a little better. The game is freezing. It seems as though, when the game needs to load a texture or something, my game literally freezes for a split second and then unfreezes and it looks like my character teleports ahead a foot or two if I'm running or walking. Is there something that lets the game load everything and keep it all in memory so that it doesn't have to keep loading things? It will just load everything on the map at once and then be good, no freezing. I have 4gb ddr5 on my gpu and 8gb of ram on my pc.
  4. Like I said guys, this isn't a performance issue. It can't possibly be. I have a good system and if I put it on the lowest settings it still stutters. I installed a fresh copy of the game with only the dlc. No mods. It still does the same thing. What I did notice, was that when I put a lot of mods like hd textures and stuff, the stutters seem to be longer. I'm guessing that my computer is loading the textures and things and for some reason the game stops until it loads them and then continues and there's that stutter/time lapse effect that happens. It's very short, like split second, but it's slow enough for a human to detect and it bothers me. I really don't think this is a performance issue. Maybe some sort of compatibility issue? I've tried on windows 8 and 8.1. Same thing happens no matter what I try. I should also mention that when it stutters there is no frame rate loss (at least from watching it in the corner). It just stays at 60 and every once in a while flashes 59. Also watching the performance of my cpu and memory, nothing changed while stuttering. Memory usage is around 3gb of my 8 and cpu usage around 40%.
  5. Is anyone able to run skyrim without stuttering? I have a 955 at 3.6ghz quad core and an r9 290. I should be able to play this on high setting smoothly. I've tried everything from windowed to fps limiter to memory expansion to using the lowest possible settings and resolution. It still stutters! It's like every time it needs to load a texture or something it stutters and it's horrible. I can't play the game like this. I've tried everything. What is the solution?
