  1. I have the same problem as OP. I need games that 'can take me away' for endless hours.

So far I've played Fallout 4 in about 5.637 hours.
It's mainly character creation that drives me. I've struggled to create a character I can relate to as well as replacements for Cait, Piper and Curie. I actually only finished the game completely a week ago :P

    Besides from that I played:

    1. Skyrim - 2.134 hours
    2. Skyrim SE - 920 hours
    3. Mass Effect (all three games) - around 1610 hours
    4. Mass Effect Andromeda - 590
    4. Dragon Age Inquisition - 1187 hours
    5. Witcher 2 + 3 aprox. 630 hours.

I think online games are those who can satisfy you the most. I played Unreal Tournament for about 11 years in clans. But maybe I'm getting to old for this kind of social behavior? It doesn't appeal to me to debate with others and see no solution in the end. People both show the best and worst in these online environments.

I'm also looking for new games to play. BIG games with a HUGE world to dive into and forget the real world.
I was looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077, despite the fantastic game I got frustrated because of the bad endings and literally ditched the game.
Now I look forward to the next Mass Effect, The Elderscrolls 6, Fallout 5 etc. There just don't seem to be any good alternative to the old games right now.

Well, you can play some of the newest Assassin's Creed game again, like Odyssey and Origins. I used 1007 hours on Odyssey alone. Well, it doesn't have character creation, but still...

  2. I was really hoping for an official ultra wide display fix in the Anniversary update. No idea why Bethesda has not fixed this problem in Skyrim and Fallout.

Resolution recommended from NVIDIA Exp. is 3620x2036 DSR, but this freezes my GPU. Only lagging occurs with the arrow creating long traces on the screen.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with Windows changing to HDR. I have a G7 and it always 'go black' for a second or two when starting a game (because I don't use HDR in desktop mode). But it changes fine, takes a little longer but it works.

But I can't even get past Main Menu. I get a black screen with ambience in the background.

Disabling mods make the game CTD in an instant.

  3. I don't get it?
I just build a new PC.
The only parts I used from the old was my graphics card and two disks. One of these disk was an SSD with A Steam folder containing Fallout 4. The rest is new.
The SSD received a new drive letter, but Steam was able to find the folder and verify the game files. They were all ok after checking.
I started the game and discover a lot of my mods doesn't work. The hair styles are gone, the CBBE bodies, the Eyes of Beauty and some of the VTAW clothes as well. The strange thing is that some of the clothes are there.
Some mods are working and others not. My PIP-boy is still having the black color from the mod. I still am wearing the earrings and necklace. But the main body (torso, arms and legs) is not visible. If I equip the Vault 111 suit the body is standard vanilla. It's just like CBBE is not working?
My face still have the makeup choices I gave her. I attach an image to show how it looks.
I made a safe copy of all game files to another hard disk, deleted Fallout 4 via Steam and reinstalled. Then I copied all the saved game content back to the SSD WITHOUT overwriting anything. So, in theory all the mods including meshes and textures should now be in the right place.
I had LOOT check my mod list and order and saved. But it's still not working. The mods are all present and checked in the list in the games' mod tab.
I have changed resolution from 1440x900 to 2560x1440 but this shouldn't affect it?
I don't use NMM but always install my mods manually. So, there is no interference from NMM in this case.

This is a big mystery to me. There must be something I have missed? It feels like as if the game doesn't get the meshes and textures from the installed locations main the 'Data' folder.
I noticed that the game apparently ignores the fact that many of the mods uses *.ba2 instead of *.esp when I look in the plugins list. But it makes it even more mysterious as CBBE uses the *.esp but isn't active?

    Has anyone had this issue?

  4. Yes, a uni-sex mod for this game would be number 1!

All the dialogue lines are exactly the same weather it would be a male or female protagonist, except for the initial starting point.

CDPR took a long step into gender freedom with this game but they just forgot to make all romances free for all genders. This is something I simply don't understand. Bethesda was smart, right? I haven't heard of any complaints against them, have you?

I guess game companies are affraid to loosen up in case of being accused for 'misleading' innocent children or they are run by seriously old-fashioned stiffnecks?

NB! Just remembered that Judy has a dialogue line where she says something like: "I'm always picky about my girls". So it might collide right there.

  5. I have played this game for exactly 4.044 hours when I write this.

And now I am getting really annoyed about the explosions triggering every time you are about to loot after a fight. I've noticed the game tries to slow you down by spreading the bodies of enemies in all directions (and I have a suspicion that the spread is getting heavier along with your level progression as well) by letting something explode (no matter what as long as it spreads the bodies).

I am sick and tired of running around for loot every time I killed enemies. You can use hours on looking for the bodies. And sometimes you never find them anyway because they are thrown into some inaccessible graphics out of visible sight.

I looked through the mods but was only able to find some that prevents your own body from exploding in multiple parts.
I also found one who supposedly should prevent NPC's to dismember. This makes it a bit easier to locate the bodies after all, but still.

You can't do anything about Brotherhood Knights landing on top of buildings. That's just how it is. But running around in an area in search of 10 different bodies having to give up on the last two after 10 minutes really annoys me now.

Isn't there a way to minimize the spreading of the bodies after explosions?

  6. They definetely did something that changed the game in this last update. When I started my game tonight the image froze with only music in the background. I had to check the game files via Steam and it downloaded a completely new 'Skyrim.esm'. The game worked after that.

Later I discovered my 'eyes' folder (Data\textures\actors\character\eyes) was not recognized by the game anymore. Most of my other mods are working though (Apachii Hair, Apachii Divine Elegance Store, Amorous Adventures, Bijin Warmaidens, Amazing Follower Tweaks etc.).
This is wierd. Why change the file locations? It means whole structures are altered?

  7. I'm trying to get the facts all straight here.

So normally games with a DLC system like this will have a cloud based service and when you buy items it will send you a download file without having to update the .exe. However it seems that with creation club all files automatically get downloaded to your system.

So with each new content they add to the store it updates the .exe to force all DLC onto your harddrive thus breaking F4SE.

F4SE has to update each time but individual modders will have to update as well and if F4 gets updated weekly I don't see free mods using F4SE to be a thing anymore.

Is free modding going to die?

The day they release skimpy armor and clothing perhaps...

  8. Paid mods?

I don't know... I was expecting something more exquisit somehow. Something out of the ordinary. But so far I haven't seen anything I'd like to buy. The story doesn't get any better either with the mods they're offering.

I think Bethesda is trying to take over the mod community. The reason is a bit obscure, but I can imagine they want to remain one of the biggest game producers in the world. Integrating modders in this way would secure Bethesda a lot of ressources to draw from when they need them. At the same time they pull the activities closer to them selves and the games.

I find the mods on Nexus ten times more interesting though. Nexus even have adult related mods. I doubt we will see the open chest vault suit for sale in the Creation Club...

  9. Not to be unpolite, but I think the counter (-s) are still broken somehow?

One of my pages have the exact same frequency of Unique and Total Downloads as before the correction. At least that's my feeling.

I notice this because I find it interesting how many different persons download my files and how many times in total, to see if some turn back a second time.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I still think the Unique proportionally follows the same rate of the Total Downloads.

  10. The idea to ad a 'report' button beneath the advertisement is a good idea. Very good indeed.

In this way you can still run ads but also have a better control of misuse of the courtesy agreed.

Not all companies are alike, but most would definetely spam you from here to hell if they could. I've experienced some fatal cases in my time. That's the reason I use both AdBlock and NoScript. The few ruins it for the majority. Sadly.

With a report button you tell the advertisers they have to stay inside good manners or they will be reported. Smart.

  11. Thank you very much for the info and updates.

I'm not worried personally. My concern is primarily if the access to the site can be used to destroy mods and pages, even used as a base for spam and illegal activities.

But thank you again for your efforts. I can imagine how your nights have been since you were confronted with this.

  13. Who ?... me ?... yeah.. ofcource ill buy it... i am a bioware junkie... i HAVE to buy it.. .. but i do wish they stop making games of which they say That it matters what you do..., but it really doesn't..

I agree. I like Bioware games.

But Mass Effect and DAO is apparently history.

I had the same feeling with DAI. It didn't matter what you did. It didn't affect the outcome. So, why does this game need a player to influence it?

You were lead through a story with a somewhat sterotypic end. You fight Corypheus and that's it. No mysteries, no influence on the outcome.

On top of that I am disappointed about the way the handled the patches. They merely used their time on fixing singleplayer exploits, but those who wasn't able to play the game due to misleading system requirements were ignored.

I play DAI now and then. But only because the maps are pretty well made. I also like the character movements, the are more detailled.

I play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt these days. I am much more content with this game. There are several possible endings. The graphics are breathtaking realistic. The light feels genuine. The world is open, except the first and last map in the main story. And there's so many ways to influence the story I can't count them. CDPR really lived up to the expectations.

Yes, I'm going to get 'Trespasser' as well. But merely because I want the game complete.

The rumous say you will have influence on the faith of the inquisition in this DLC, and it's going to take place in The Winter Palace (I hope to meet Selene again).

So I'm curious, is it possible to modfiy research items with this? I have too many research items due to using a trainer and when I try to turn them in at the table my game crashes. The can't be destroyed or sold so I can't think of any other way to get rid of them.

No. You can only duplicate certain items with Infinite Shop Supply.

Some quest related items are not stackable. But you can sometimes change the item via a shop window one at a time.

Rings, belts and amulets are not normally stackable. But you can make them. It's a bit tricky though.

Sell a level 1 ring to the merchant in Val Royeaux. Let's pick the common '+5% Armor Penetration' (grey). You want the purple level 3 'Superb Ring Of Armor Penetration'.

Sell the common grey item to the merchant. Do NOT close the shop window but go to 'Buy back' and buy 1, then one more, and the third time the stock will be infinite (1000).

Go to CE and change the item in the 'Change' box.

Go back to the 'Buy back' window and buy the desired amount.

    Leave the shop.

Check in you inventory that the items are there with the right value, colors and desciption.

See my answer below for an step to step guide:

Hey Mushashi, I've been trying this trick for a while with no effect. I'm trying to stack a bow so I can change it into Hakkon's Wrath, which didn't drop for me when I killed the Ice Giant. :C Sucks too since its BiS for me atm.
I've tried every other Cheat Engine method thats on the forums but unfortunately, while I can change a normal bow to Hakkon's Wrath, its only in name and description, since the new "Hakkon's Wrath" will still have the original bow's damage, enchantments, and stats.
However, reading this gives me hope, seeing as it should give you the item you want, from your description.
Could you explain in more detail about how to do this? Or are bows simply not stackable at all? I honestly just want to add a bow to my inventory. Nothing fancy at all. I didn't think DA:I would be this hard to mod.
    Thanks a bunch man.

If you want an unique item you don't have:

    1. Move a unique item to your 'Valuables'.

    2. Activate Inventory Item Editor + Shop Item Editor + Infinite Shop Supply.

    3. Open a shop window (good idea to use the female merchant in Val Royeaux).

    * DON'T close the shop window at all during this process. It is all done without closing it.

    4. Sell this unique item to the merchant.

    5. Buy it back + 1 extra (you now have two identical items and Cheat Engine knows what item it has to change. You can see it in the Shop Item Editor line)

    6. Tick the 'Change' box and copy the path (of your desired item) into it and click OK.

    7. Now you must buy one more (or several if needed). This time it will be the item you just entered. You can't see it before you close the shop window and check your inventory though.

    8. You can now close the shop window. The item will be in your inventory.

It's a good idea to have the 'Short List' perk as it will give you access to the unique items for sure. You don't nesseccary need it, but it might if you have problems.

This procedure goes for all unique items in the game. Amulets, weapons, armor etc.

The duplication of items is selfexplanatory. The only difference is you don't change the item but just buy back more copies.

Was this the answer you needed?
