  1. Oblivion and Witcher 3 top my list too. Even though it's been 14 years since Oblivion was released, I've *still* never found its equal with regard to character customization, mods etc etc. I would have gladly paid my $50 in 2006 just for the Construction Set alone, without any included game. :)
  2. Do you have the same problem with a new game? If not, maybe it's an A-Bomb issue or some corruption or problem with your savegame.
  3. In Oblivion some interior cells do allow fast travel (e.g. Rosethorn Hall etc). Curiously it's disallowed for the PC's other homes in the game.
  4. It may be quest-related but also check out Arkved's Tower. Upside down rooms, giant furniture etc.
  5. Multiply your experience by two or three billion. I don't envy MS or Google. Their reign as the most effective global digital fascists in human history is almost over.
  6. Win 7 isn't going anywhere, MS is simply ceasing support for it. It'll be my last MS operating system, since it's the last MS OS that doesn't give them legal rights to monitor and record our every keystroke and mouse movement. Win 10 was built from the ground up as a data miner, just like Chrome. Due to a 95% monopoly on the world's desktop computers imo MS will eventually be legally forced to release Win 7 to the public domain. You may not believe it now, wait until the support actually stops. A substantial portion of the computing world will refuse to join the ranks of legitimized privacy rape.
  7. First thing I'd check is the texture type (make sure your export options for the texture files are correct for Skyrim).
  8. True but I play finished savegames with timescale set to 1, since the quest bugs this setting causes are no longer an issue. Cyrodiil feels much more like a natural environment, day/night transitions, distances and travel times etc are what they'd be in the real world.
  9. daggerot, it would be helpful to know why you're asking the question. Are you just learning in general, or do you have specific questions about the script? Drake is correct imo judging from the script name zzSheoSpearEffect. :)
  10. I was gonna post mine, but after viewing these I'm too embarrassed to. :) Moksha8088, what hair mod(s) are you using on that musician character? I've been looking for a male hair mod like that for years and all I ever find are Boy George anime nightmares.
  11. Not to resurrect an ancient thread, but if the "stuck" effect is the Flame of Agnon, simply return to the Sacellum Arden-Sul in New Sheoth (where the fire effects first became active on the PC) and walk into the big fire pit inside. The visual effects are toggled on and off by entry into the pit, and once on they'll stay on until the PC returns and enters again. Took me several headshakes and a few web searches to find this one. Ran into the same thing and the constant effects went from interesting to horribly irritating in less than 10 minutes.
  12. As mentioned earlier Cyrodiil is approximately 4 miles x 4 miles or 16 square miles.
  13. The game has two slightly different speeches to choose from. You'll get the non-marble speech most of the time. See: https://www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/69lvbg/the_marble_jaws_of_oblivion/
  14. Look at your installed Windows programs (Control Panel/Programs). Sort the program list by date and see what was recently installed. Check for and uninstall Windows Game Explorer (MS distributed it via a Windows Update), also check for/uninstall any third-party codec packs (K-Lite etc), or other software (video players etc) that might have installed its own codecs, especially MP3 audio codecs. Be sure to reboot after any changes and see if it helps. Windows Game Explorer was installed by mistake on one of our systems and it wreaked all kinds of havoc, including but not limited to most of our standalone games (including Oblivion) suddenly refusing to start at all, unless an internet connection was available. It took us a week to find the solution, posted in a forum on another site. We were convinced it was a game server (Steam etc) issue, but it wasn't. The fix is to either uninstall Game Explorer, or rename the file gameux.dll in both \windows\system32 and \windows\syswow64. Believe it or not Game Explorer is too stupid to simply check for an available internet connection, BEFORE it goes searching for online reviews, ratings and images for your games. So both it and your games hang forever when they're started, whenever your network is disabled.
