  1. This can happen if you choose a sub-folder of the folder that was already chosen as the 'install path' (Now known as the 'Mod Staging Folder').

Please try to choose a folder that is outside of the original choice (creating a new folder if needed). After successfully changed, you should be able to select your new choice if you wish.

I'll make note of this little issue for our developers.

  2. I've moved and merged the topics so that we can have this information in one place to review.

Please ensure that all plugins, security software, and vpns, are disabled when browsing to ensure that they are not causing an issue. If you're confident this is not the case, please provide details about your browser, your location, and any error messages your browser may be displaying as this may help us diagnose the issue. Thanks!

  3. It's entirely possible that your Firefox plugins or settings may be affecting Vortex's ability to download. It may be worth trying to start the download in a Firefox private tab, ensuring no plugins are loaded, to test.

Also, when you start a Vortex download from Firefox, you should see a message box similar to this:
    qR1VR0i.png

If you're not seeing that, you may want to review Firefox's application settings to ensure that NXM links aren't being mishandled.

  4. Though it may seem obvious, try to ensure that you can't alt-tab to a Vortex related screen that may have been hidden somehow. Otherwise, feel free to end the process via your task manager if needed.

If you try and run the installer after that and this continues, can you provide a screenshot of the message you mentioned please? Also, do you notice any load bars at all? Does the Vortex logo appear?

This info may help us diagnose the issue. Thanks!

  5.

The game start button on Vortex brings up an error on SMAPI, so she uses either Steam or the game launcher itself. Is this why we don't see the new mods? Does SMAPI run interference? This all makes no sense.

The error that is being displayed may provide some detail that may help. Would it be possible for you to provide a screenshot? Also, can you confirm that the appropriate folders for the mods you've enabled via Vortex are appearing in Stardew Valley's /Mods/ folder? This info may help us diagnose what's happening. Thanks!

  6. Hello there. It's possible that Vortex was not configured properly for Morrowind, as our internal testing has shown that Morrowind modding via Vortex is functional. Please ensure that the "Install Path" found in settings under the "mods" tab is set to a directory outside of your game installation. This may resolve the issue for you. If not, please try to describe in more detail the issue as well as your workaround, with screenshots if possible, so that we can diagnose the issue properly. Hope this is helpful. Thank you!

  7. Hey umesh22. Please check to ensure that the proper option is enabled in Vortex's settings, under the download tab. It should look something like this:
    1ev2p0j.png

If you're sure the option above is enabled, it may be best to investigate your browser's security settings to ensure that they are not interfering. If you continue to have any issues, please provide as much detail about the symptoms and your browser as well as screenshots if possible. Thanks!

  8. Hey there. Unfortunately, verifying ownership without your access to the account's email address may not be possible, preventing us from making any changes. If however, you have made a previous purchase of Premium membership or Supporter status, any payment info you can provide may be helpful. Please send this, or any other info you feel may help verify (including the username), to [email protected]. Thanks!

  10. When deploying a mod, Vortex moves files associated with the mod to No Mans Sky's /gamedata/pcbanks/mods/ directory, which is mimicking standard practices for manual mod installation.

The symptoms you describe make me think that perhaps you misconfigured Vortex, which may be using your /gamedata/pcbanks/mods/ directory as a storage repository for downloaded mod archives.

With No Man's Sky as Vortex's active game, check your settings. There, under the mods tab, ensure that the directory you see there is not your /gamedata/pcbanks/mods/ folder. Set it to another (preferably new) folder, so that Vortex can store mod files there to be deployed to the game when enabled.
