Hey after weeks trying to get Skyrim working good I switched from Step to Skyrim Revisited. Pretty much work, I hope its worth it after all. Anyway. I encountered some problems that guide didnt offer me any help for: Sometimes when I try to install a mod with MO some strange windows appears and I have to set some kind of directory. If I rightclick data directory and click "set data directory" it often says "looks good". And I can install it. But I have no idea what Im doing there and if installation of specified mods was correct in any way.. I encountered a problem with book covers skyrim. I try to install it, select book covers hearthfire, skyrim etc. but it only installs one esp! (I´m supposed to edit them afterwards, but they´re just not installed :O). Anyone can help me quickly with these two? Thanks!

Thank you very much my friend! Gonna try that out, I guess capping at 3k memory could be an issue with the number of mods I have installed. Gonna come back to ya guys. @jojje5: I have 4gb VRam Game does freeze instead of CTDs pretty often as well.. So here is what I have done these days:</p> Deinstalled manually thousands of mods (ASIS, Quality World Map, High Res DLC Pack, Sneak Tools, UFO, ERSO, some kind of Daedra helm mod from step because TES showed me some kind of error trying to load it...) Created bashed patch Downloaded Sounds of Skyrim crash fix (I really had hope when I saw them ^_^) Deactivated auto-saving Deleting old save Couple of other stuff I cant remember.. Reinstalling all mods - Crying So, I started a new game. I did not even get to finish the tutorial ONCE because game either freezes or ctds before. It often CTDs/Freezes when I´m in the torturers room (else the next fight). And, yeah well. I think the game crashes pretty often when there is some kind of fight going on? I didnt crash/freeze a single time when running from the dragon. One CTD was when trying to enter Helgen Keep, rest inside of helgen keep (usually while some kind of fight is going on I think). CTDs/freezes during loading screen actually didnt occur now. Ever. This game is random.</p> Any suggestions what to try next? Greetings Big edit: Okay, like I said this game is RANDOM! I think I may just have made it stable.. I finished tutorial! Guys! This is amazing! Ok, I deinstalled XCE Scars and Magic Duel Reborn as well now. It probably was one of these (if there won't be a crash in next couple of hours). I will keep you updated. EDIT II: Ok, not funny. I installed ASIS and stuff again. Game crashed. I deinstalled that stuff again. Game crashed. When I try to enter Helgen Keep. Jesus. Edit: Was able to play some time. Finished tutorial. Got till first mine near Riverwood, cleared it and crashed outside of it when trying to access inventory.

This actually worked already for a cave where I encountered a reproducable CTD! Works, yes! I didnt touch ugrids because I was afraid of too unstable game. Skyrim.ini Skyrimprefs.ini Yes I manually sorted the unrecognized ones. Every time I change anything mod related I rerun SUM (and so all SkyProc Patches with it, including ReProccer). I'm not using any bashed patch, because I could not find out if I actually need one and which mods rely on "levelled lists" (and what these actually are). Nevertheless WryeBash is the mod manager I use. Gonna try out your other recommendations, already some stuff to do and look into for me. Big thanks. Well okay so CTDs might be because I misunderstand what can cause em. Do you have maybe special advice about particular mods I should consider deinstalling? Hi there, I have installed complete STEP Project mods and added some I found (mainly mods of GEMS), all my mods are cleaned, I did use boss to sort load order. Game now really is great but these random CTDs I keep getting annoy me. Big time. They are very often when I change region, like entering a cave, a bar, a city. Apart from that they appear to be kinda random. So the basic mods from STEP cannot be causing CTDs (except I have some kind of incompatibility I havent seen yet (right?)) so the non-step mods should be the ones of interest (if not mistaken): + ALL Step mods. Hardware: I especially dont see any connection between random CTDs that happen more often during loading screen and region change and the new installed mods. Maybe someone here can help me : / Greetz

Skyrim.ini I usually get the CTDs like after 20-25min (it also can be 5min or 50min), they were all sorts of em, loading screen, completely random in the wilds, following dogs - even though I cant think of a CTD indoors (not sure about this). Any more information that would be useful? Thanks already for replies. Edit: Sometimes game simply freezes and not even CTDs (if important).

Hi guys, I really hope someone of you can help me cause Im pretty new to all this. My game keeps CTD even though I have cleaned all mods suggested by boss, and found like trillions of mods that CTD me. I tried ProjectEnb, Syncot, Skyrealism.. and many more. Once CoT is activated framerate goes down. Currently I have project enb realistic preset installed. Edit: There is no thanks button.. so thanks in advance/already.

Hi, im pretty new to modding and after upgrading my system to the following: GTX 680 (4gb vram) i7 3770k @ 4ghz 16gb ram I have been modding Skyrim for 3 Days nonstop while not having the desired result because of a clear lack of BRAIN. Im starting to get insane. Uninstalling and installing all mods.. Well.. I better start. So these are my mods: random enb + cot rlo or elfx hd texture pack full skyrim flora overhaul, sometimes lush grass some single hd retextures (15 or sth..like hd barrels and stuff) statistic mesh improvement water and some gameplay mods. I have pretty good fps indoors (60 fps+) but outdoors it goes down to like 30 maybe. After uninstalling trillthousands of mods (and reinstalling them.. and doing it again..and again..) I came to the conclusion its COT! If I only deinstall cot and use different (even better enb!) framerate goes up to good playable 45-60. I really like what I have seen from cot so far and wouldnt want to miss it. Anyway. Im wondering if it shouldnt be okay with my specs? Is GTX 680 not enough for the mods im seeking? Cpu bottlenecking? Or is cot that demanding (I thought ENB would be..). Im newbie in mod terms so if you have any ideas, please dont withhold :smile: If you can help in any regard, I´d really appreciate it. so long :OO
