  1. Took a look at Loadout's debug logs, I don't know if any of this is out of the ordinary:
  2. Still no luck. I may still be doing something wrong here, though I figure it's to be expected that changing those two lines wouldn't fix the problem in and of itself. If anyone's more able to take a crack at this than I am, I'd be hugely thankful for it. Thanks again to you as well, IsharaMeradin. <3
  3. Just wanted to say, thanks so much for your help with this. I'd be completely and utterly lost without it. I did that and the vast majority of errors are gone, though there's still this stuff: Nevermind, it succeeded! Aaaagh! Going to try and see if it works now.
  4. Brand new to this so I may well be doing something wrong, but when trying to compile Loadout.psc it gives me a "Failed" status and this is the list of errors (it's quite a list, so I've put in a spoiler tag): Going to just keep trying at it to see if I can find out whether I'm doing something disastrously wrong. This problem happens for .psc files built into the game as well, though, and the only relevant results I'm finding that give instructions on compiling and fixing errors with compiling require hours of reading and trial+error, which I'm hoping isn't really something that's required for just recompiling a fairly small mod with two changed lines.
  5. Gave it a shot entirely by itself just now, still no dice. I'm not sure if CTRL+(0-9) is actually saving a loadout set or not, or if the problem is somewhere in the process of loading a saved set. There is an error message that appears upon loading into the game; "You have SKSE 1.7.3 installed but Loadout requires at least 1.6.16", which is why I'd guessed that reverting to 1.6.16 might solve the issue.
  6. Unfortunately, SkyUI is much slower and more tedious to use. I've tried it out a few times and each time I realise it's just too much effort with too little reward and I figure it's probably faster and better without using SkyUI's system for it. With SkyUI's way of going about it, first you've got to into your inventory and favourite the thingy you want, then you've got to leave your inventory and go into your favourites and find the specific thing, then choose to bind it to a group, then choose which group you want to bind it to. For each and every item. So if you want to make changes, you need to unfavourite one item and go through that same process again for another item. When you've got like 9 or so different classes and you're often getting new and better gear it's just a tiresome bore to spend ages clicking your way through that, especially when the original Loadout mod allowed you to save everything you had equipped with a CTRL+(hotkey) and recall it with a hotkey, which was so much faster for updating existing loadouts as well. (I realise I sound very snotty here, I do actually quite appreciate your suggestion!) Something I found out with regards to the original mod, however, is that it seems to save loadouts but doesn't load them. At the very least, saving a loadout into a slot does say "Loadout saved in slot 2" (or whatever number). Maybe the mod could be fairly easily fixed if most of the functionality is actually still there? I'm honestly still very surprised that the mod was so popular and yet was never replaced by anything.
  7. Ages back, I used this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34593/? (GitHub page here: https://github.com/DaveDambonite/Loadout) It allows a player to save all the items they have equipped into a preset by using CTRL+(0-9), and to load that preset by hitting (0-9). This allowed for a player to have several easily-accessed presets of weapons, armour, spells etc for specific situations. As an example, I typically had a slow and heavy melee preset (heavy armour, warhammer, that sort of thing) in slot 1, but had a healer preset (healing spells equipped, robes and mask) in slot 2. This cut down drastically on the time I spent squirreling my way through menus trying to find a specific potion or item or weapon to use. When the player wanted to make a change to a preset, it was as simple as pressing that preset's hotkey (0-9), equipping the item(s) I wanted to be in that preset, and then hitting CTRL+(hotkey from 0-9). This was easily my favourite mod, because the convenience very much impacted on gameplay. However, it does not work with more recent versions of SKSE and the last version of SKSE it worked with is incompatible with the latest version of Skyrim. This means that using the mod would require using a downgraded version both of the game and of SKSE, the former of which I have no access to and both of which I would prefer not to use. If anyone's interested in remaking this mod or fixing up the existing mod, the GitHub link is just above. From what I can tell, though, the uploader ran into some troubles that fell on Bethesda's end. Still, it's likely a convenient resource should someone make a crack at it themselves.
