Hello community! I have been having an issue with the vampire lord transformation. After accepting Harkon's "gift" he takes you to the room with the shrine to Molag Bal. Here you are asked to turn into a Vampire Lord. My problem is, that when I have the Vampire Lord equiped and I press RB or Z to activate it, nothing happens, literally nothing, no animations, sounds etcetera. If I try again in quick succession it make a spell fail noise, or the same noise as if a dragon shout is on cooldown. - I have tried using a save cleaner to find orphaned records which there were only 3 and cleaned them up. - I have tried reloading a previous save - I have tried the command set DLC1vampirelorddisallow to 0 - My race is Imperial - I have tried disabling all my mods - I have checked SSEedit and haven't found anything out of place. I'm at a loss for what to try or do next, and my Google-FU has failed me. Any and all help would be much appreciated. Load order attached Thank you! UPDATE:If I refuse Harkons gift, get kicked out of the castle, and use Better Vampires troubleshooting feature to reset Vampire lord it will work. When trying it in the shrine room it will not. Thinking it's got to be an issue with the script in that room or part of that quest. Load Order

It would seem that my issue was with NVSR. Never thought a windows 10 update would break something like that. Thank you for pointing me to those links, I was not aware they existed.

Hey everyone, I just started to play new vegas again. I did a fresh installation with a rather small load order. The issue that I'm having is that about every 10 to 15 minutes the game just freezes. It doesn't ctd, just stops responding. If it doesn't happen while I'm traveling around it will happen when I enter a load screen, and I get stuck on an infinite load screen. I've dealt with these issues in the past but I just can't seem to resolve this one. I am using the script extender as well as a 4gb patch. Load Order Any and all help is appreciated!

I just recently started up a new game and have progressed to the point where I get BOS signal grenades for a vertibird pickup. Problem is that when I throw one, a vertibird will come to my location and instead of landing turn around and fly off. I've never heard or seen this issue before and I'm wondering if anyone else has come across it at all. Thanks,

This ended up being my issue too. Found a mod that seems to have been abandoned so it will never get updated. Weird how it just broke the game. Before the mods just wouldn't work if their version didn't match the script extender. Thanks Bethesda.

I have also found a temporary solution. I stared having the launcher loop issue again when I try to run the exe. Renaming the launcher to Fallout4Launcher1 and the Fallout4.exe to Fallout4Launcher.exe seems to have fixed the issue and I can start the game. However this means I can't use any of my script extender mods.

I'm also having these issues, instead of making another thread I'll contribute to this one. I have also done the normal routine with antivirus, mod disabling, verify integrity etc etc. Even ran FO4 edit to look for conflicts and I got nothing. Script extender and all mods that need it are up to date. The game just crashes upon launch, I don't even get to the Bethesda logo.

So after some digging, I found that my antivirus "Bit Defender" Is keeping F4SE from writing files. I added it to the whitelist but still no dice. In Bit Defenders safe files area, there is an application access that had fallout 4 and F4SE within it. Told Bit Defender it's safe and everything started working again. Hopefully this can help out some poor soul in the future.

So I've recently started experience an odd bug in Fallout 4. Whenever I die, the games loading screen will say look up failed and send me back to the main menu instead of loading my last save. The game also seems to have lost its ability to make save files. Auto save, quick save, and manual save do not work. The game will say saving but it will not actually create a save. I even tried starting a new game and had the same issues. I haven't added anything new to my load order for awhile so I'm not sure what's causing it. If anyone has some ideas they would be greatly appreciated. Load Order

Hey guys, I recently had a shoulder surgery, so I have been stuck using a controller to play my PC games. However when I try to play Skyrim, I find that I cannot sprint or shout. It's been awhile since I used a controller but isn't LB supposed to be sprint and RB shout? Regardless, these buttons do nothing, and there isn't anything to map sprint or shout (power) in the controls menu. All of my available actions to map are presented with the exception of the left hand. Ironically if I switch to keyboard I have the actions listed in controls just not when I use a controller. So when I'm playing Skyrim, it seems that I have an issue triggering the vampirism transformation. The game will say I'm infected and will even cycle through the three day phase. Though when time is up, my character doesn't transform. No appearance changes and there isn't anything in my active effects. When I tried to join the Volkihar vampires, I have the same issues. Though I still retain the vampire lord form, I cannot use the right hand blood magic spell. There just isn't anything there but the raise dead spell in the left hand will work. I also cannot feed on any of the thralls. Other vampires in the castle will tell me I'm not infected and that I need to speak to Harkon again. Harkon will not offer to turn me again unless I actually cure my vampirism but reinfection just leads to the same results. Also walking around other NPCs, they will make comments as if I were a vampire, though I don't have any active effects or abilities. I'm not exactly sure what's going on and any help is appreciated. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling NMM. It seemed to work at first but went back to doing the same thing as before.

Hello, thanks for stopping bye! It's been awhile since I last played some Skyrim and was looking to jump back in it. Upon opening the Nexus Mod Manager, it asked to update. I let it do it's thing and was going to be on my way. However I wasn't really paying attention to what it was doing. My fault I know but the update process was like a second nature to me. For whatever reason it uninstalled all of my mods. A bit of an inconvenience but nothing that isn't easily fixed. However my only problem is with how the NMM installs mods now. I know I have a few, that when you installed them they opened up an install menu. Letting you choose what features of a mod you wanted and didn't. Though now when I install any of those mods, I don't get the customization menu and it just loads the whole thing. Could anyone be kind enough to give me a few pointers on what NMM is doing differently now so I could fix it? Thanks.

Been having an issue that I've never experienced before in the game. Whenever I am struck by a power attack or hit with a regular attack by any creature, it sends me flying backwards as if I was Fus ro dahed myself. I haven't added any game changing mods for awhile and this is an issue that just started to happen. Any and all help is appreciated, my load order is below.

So we all know that the ritual stone will reanimate all nearby corpses to fight for you. My issue is that the power will only ever reanimate a single corpse to fight for me. It will raise other nearby bodies to stand, but they are still pretty much dead. The only thing they can do it stand there and be looted. They don't moan or move from place, just a standing corpse. This is also an issues with any mass reanimate spells in general. Anyone have any solutions?

I think the mod author intended it to be that way to keep it balanced. Once you get to the highest vampire tier, you become pretty OP. The fastest way to get your feedings is to turn the option of basic feeding into advanced feeding. This will let you much on anyone who recently died. Combine that with something like Warzones or Immersive patrols and you can get your feedings pretty quickly.

I know that feeling. I was especially deep into the Stormcloak vs Empire debate. While I still prefer a certain side, stumbling across the whole CHIM thing made it all incredibly irrelevant.

Ok to get back to the original part of the topic. Riddle me this. What does it mean when some NPC's in the game refer to the dragonborn as "Doom Driven"?

Hah, you should speak to MaleyoRan (probably spellbound my that wrong) Mr.Flippers and FireIceWarden.They put me to shame. In fact, Warden figured out the Amaranth and how the dream-cycle works... That takes skill. Or madness. Or a combination of the two. I'm surprised at how little this part of the lore is ever discussed.

Lol especially since the Aedra represent stasis. Though Talos isn't an Aedra. Though would you have any idea why Talos wanted the empire he founded to change?

This I would like to know as well. As ashamed as I am to admit it, I have never played an Elder Scrolls game outside of Skyrim. I know of the other games premises but never actually experienced them myself. It's kind of why I'm being such a lore digger right now.
