  1. As far as I know, skin tones are now dinamically assigned, and all human, elf and orc races use the same texture, one for the male and other for the female. Again, this we won't be able to change it until the CS is out, since there are no actual files containing that information in a human readable way.
  2. Hm... considering how full body morphs are now contemplated in the engine, it could be possible to create further morphs for breast, waist, botton, etc. So we don't end up with the breast sizes chaos in previous games. We've yet to see the limitations in the new features of the engine. As for havoked hair or clothing/armor, I'd say forget it.
  3. You dont "make" anything in nifkope, the program is for manipulating already existing models and textures and saving them in .nif files. If you're new to 3D, try blender, or if you are resourceful, Max. Another good program to learn the basics, but that won't get you anywhere is Wings 3D.
  4. We don't have enough magika to use that spell. Sorry, without the CK we can barely see, let alone change any engine data.
  5. Sorry, I didn't mention it, but yeah, they're off. For now. Conflicting diffuse and normal maps here.
  6. I'm in, simply for the reason of adding more depth, not only to your playstyle, but NPC. Not everyone should run at the same speed. I could see an 'athletibatics' feature rigged to the body mass variable, giving skinny characters more speed and/or acrobatics, and then compensating more muscular characters with, perhaps, more strength or health. PS: I bunny hop a lot.
  7. Seems legit. I don't remember if it was in vanilla's oblivion, but I did make some red vampire eyes with subtle glow. I started working in vampire eyes a couple of days ago, at the moment my character turned into one and I didn't quite like the look of her eyes. I might try it later on the day, and, in that case, I'll post the results.
  8. Kudos. That's the only thing I'd use the FXAA injector for.
  9. Good day forum, today I'm working in some face textures, females only for now. I'm using Xenius' textures as a base for now (some diffuse and the revamped specular map), but a complete overhaul should eventually arrive. I'm not picking sides in the "supermodel vs. real people" debate, but in this one I'm aiming for a pretty look. Here's some early comparisons, vanilla vs. current progress (around 1 hour of work): Notice that in the "current" pics there are other mods installed, namely Xenius' eyes and Amanda LaPalme's elven normal maps. Opinions/suggestions?
  10. Holly molly, good work. Seems like we'll be brawling with capricious nifs again c:
  11. Gratuitous sex mods are easy, and what you propose ain't. That's the reason why there will always be more porn oriented mods than romantic, context driven ones. That said, I find the latter much more interesting and worth working at, and I'm sure there will be plenty of modders that will agree. It is important to note that I endorse both styles, since I find them perfectly compatible: One exists purely for aesthetics, and the other is there for immersion.
  12. Ultra with some .ini fixings :) Gotta take advantage of that 590 p:
  13. +1000. That said, I've found that under the simple search word "elves" lays a fairly good amount of modifications to make the mer less... alien. They're far from perfect, but are a great start until more refined works come to surface. I'm also working some texture tweaks to find my ideal balance between the vanilla looks and human. Might publish the results once they're satisfactory enough. Here's a bosmer I created just now. Notice how he still retains that exotic look, but feels more natural to the eye. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w225/Labelissa/ScreenShot52.jpg
  14. You have a point. Morrowind dark elves don't look as if they all have a sleeping problem though.
  15. But elves are not supposed to look like Star Trek actors with plastic makeup... Yeah, I dig. This is my altmer girl currently. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w225/Labelissa/ScreenShot15.jpg She's not looking too bad, but really, that's as far as you can go with elves. Here's a random elf. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w225/Labelissa/ScreenShot50.jpg For some reason they always show up weird shapes over the brows, weird mouths and shallow cheeks.
  16. As an altmer player... I have to say that I sort of appreciate the "alien" look, but from the first moment I got the feeling that they went too far with it. Black eyes is an example, but the whole face mesh looks wrong from my point of view. Also waiting to be able to work on that matter :l
  17. You can only equip one ring at a time in Skyrim.
  18. It will be perfectly possible though, all we need is some time :)
  19. If this works the same way as in previous Beth games, and I don't have any reason to think it doesn't, the third person camera is a bone node in the body mesh file. What that means is that we'll not be able to change it until we make sure how to edit the game's 3D files.
  20. I'm an altmer wh*re, and considering it was our race who kind of detonated the Skyrim conflict... I'll go with the Imperials.
  21. Are you running a legitimate copy of the game? I'm pretty sure those bugs only occur in illegal versions.
  22. Well believe what you want, I saw it happen! Yeah right, and that's why there was only one body mesh per gender, and nif models are not known for being very procedurally versatile, if you know what I mean.
  23. Yeah, from what we see in the video, Orsinium or at least Wayrest is apparently covered by a huge mountain, or I am not interpreting it correctly. From my perspective, at 1:45 we see the great bay between Northpoint and Farrun, but the whole Illiac bay is nowhere to be found. *edit* Since all of this seems very interesting, I think I'll be doing a more comprehensive study on the subject, perhaps a better video comparative between the canon map and these lod meshes, which, at a first view, don't render the continents in a very precise way. I'll try to post all the results once I finish doing my first test flights
  24. Suddently, rushes to marry a mudcrab have invaded my body.
  25. And that was my point the whole time. But If you want to go even deeper with historical references for Tamriel, you'll find that, in many aspects, its culture has many treats in common with the paleochristianic Roman Empire, starting with the Rome inspired Empire (more evident than ever now in Skyrim) which pursues the Talos cult (Oddly enough, and leaving aside that he worked for the empire, he was a mortal who became a god), the Breton culture and High Rock in general. Moreover, homosexuality is known for being more accepted in polytheistic cultures rather than in monotheistic ones.
