You misunderstand. I meant is it possible to take the three main files from the wrapper version and zip them with winrar/ 7zip so they can be activated or deactivated like a mod.
-
Also, I was running Skyrim at 60 fps with 200 mods active, but I deleted and condensed my mods to only 95. For some reason I'm only topping out at 49 fps now. If the ENB I have is only applying the parallax effect and nothing else, would that still be the cause of the loss, or is it more likely to be a mod?

Load Game / Death / New Area CTD
ArchangelZero7 replied to ArchangelZero7's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
.ini prefs.ini enblocal.ini current active mods -
For whatever reason, anytime I died or tried to go to a new area, my game would CTD. Initially this led me to think it was an issue with the load screen, and the only mod I have that does anything with the load screens is Jaysus Swords. At first I had that and its patch on, but when I deactivated the patch and instead installed the recent update file, it worked for a bit. But instead of CTD when dieing, it would only CTD when loading a game. I would really like to be able to continue a game as opposed to starting over every time this happens. (Even sometimes when starting over it CTDs)

Vanilla Intro Sequence question
ArchangelZero7 replied to ArchangelZero7's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Majority of it was conjecture. It was Immersive Armors. (luckily it was easy to find since I've been group installing to troubleshoot lately) o/ -
I know this has likely been asked before, but I couldn't seem to find anything as far as a fix goes (probably missed it.) Is there a way to start the game without having my carriage flipping all over the place? I'm not sure whether it's do to mod conflicts, a specific mod or what, but It's irritating having to continually restart hoping I'll get a time it doesn't bug out. Is there a mod I can add (or remove) to fix this?
-
Alright that should make things a bit simpler. I did like the textures quite a bit actually, but I already have my textures set for the time being. I'll likely try them the next time I do a full wipe of my mods. :D Another question: Is it possible to make the ENB binary files (d3d9.dll, enbhost, etc) into a mod for NMM? And if so, will the aforementioned optional file overwrite files like regular mods?
-
Do I only need to dl the optional file Boombro? Or is the main .esp a requirement for it to work?
-
is it possible to use an enb preset but turn off all effects so that only the parallax is active? And if so, what is the performance hit with just the parallax?
-
Hmm alright I understand. Thank you for the response. I'll have to look into the parallax mods then, as some depth and volume would make loads of difference with the mods I currently have. I appreciate it :)
-
So I've never used an enb before, but I've been using mods for a while now. I have a fuzzy idea of what ENBs do, but I was wondering if someone could give me a more accurate discription so as to clarify their purpose. Also, and I'm not sure if this is correct or not, but I'm under the impression that ENBs can add volume to objects, such as stones looking less like they were shaded to look 3d and more like an actual 3 dimesional stone. If they do in fact do this, is there an ENB that only adds this effect and leaves everything else as is?

LE The Legend Of Dragoon Transformations
ArchangelZero7 replied to aquadragon97's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Well luckily the dragoon transformation pretty closely resembled the vampire lord animations which would save a lot of trouble. the problems would be a) tweaking the animations a tad to match the stance, b) the modeling for the wings and armor, c) the textures, d) changing the spells used by the vampire lord to use a one-handed sword in the right hand (since I assume the default would be to use Dart as a reference) and a few other things... -
LE The Legend Of Dragoon Transformations
ArchangelZero7 replied to aquadragon97's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Well it wouldn't be completely out of place...it could just be a sort of dragon transformation for the Dovahkiin. I'd like to see this too. It was one of the first games I played for playstation :P Just be aware of copyright issues for whomever picks this up... -
I love collecting books so that place is a treasure trove for me. Plus I'm kind of a sophist, so being surrounded by infinite knowledge is highly appealing. Cool idea. Someone could even give the player home area its own Black Book to take you there? Just a thought. +1

@Shadowspade: I agree that staffs are useless. In fact the only ones I use are the staff of magelight and the Staff of Magnus. Id like to see something here as well. @KiloFoxx: This is kind of what youre looking for. I use it and LOVE this mod.

There's also always this. If not for the summonables, at least the storage comes in handy.

I play this with turtle beaches so this would be spectacular to implement o.o though it's also not bad as-is.

Definitely wouldn't mind some SAO weaponry in the game.

LE Forced to read while fast traveling/waiting
ArchangelZero7 replied to XEnDash's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
It's not so much if people can as much as it is that they want to. With how many people mod, some of them are bound to be slow readers. Just have to be considerate of all perspective modders/ mod users. Also, I agree with the time passing as you read thing. I feel like that was the topic of another thread, but I don't feel like digging it up atm (as I think it's slightly older, maybe within a week or two old?) And it's still a matter of replacing the loading screen...reading the book before the load starts would be the same as reading it from your inventory before you choose a place to travel/ to sleep/ to wait. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding your concept...idk. Not sure what the coding for the loading screen is like anyways (hard-coded or not). If it's adjustable it may be possible to bring up both read and unread books as if you were reading them from your inventory as the model in the load screen. the pages would turn from loading screen to loading screen. (Meaning two pages would be readable on one load screen, then your next load screen would have the following pages and so-on) -
LE Forced to read while fast traveling/waiting
ArchangelZero7 replied to XEnDash's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
hey and welcome! My first thought on this is that while it would be cool to bring up books instead of the typical models and random fun facts, the load times for fast traveling and the time spent reading/ sleeping are too fast to get anywhere in the book (unless you're a lightning fast reader)...Of course one of the modders can correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I'm not sure if it's possible to enable functions like turning pages and switching books, etc in the load screen, though I'm not entirely sure. -
LE Unique weapons without charges
ArchangelZero7 replied to minhtamtritam's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you could technically make all the uniques have unlimited charges through the CK...Or did you just want unenchanted versions of them? -
LE Any tips for INI files to increase FPS on low end pc

well based on the lore for Morthal, their group could specialize in combat with poison-coated weapons due to the fact that the only real group residing there is alchemists. So maybe something along the lines of small-time assassins or "battle alchemists"? What do you think?
