I have mods installed that need to be updated, for instance Fusion Girl. Can I delete the current mod, then load the updated mod and deploy mods? Is that the right way to do this? I will still have to run Body slide and outfit studio again, correct? And just go down the update list deleting and replacing these mods right or wrong. I do not wish to mess this up and have to redo everything. Thanks G

I have all seven packs with all requirements, only two npc's refuse the overwrite. Hope I said that right. And...Thanks to all for the help!

Showler; thanks for your comment, could you please explain how to find those rules and delete them, or point me to where I can learn how to find it myself. My point is I have never wanted a type of "do it for me" I am from the "show me state" I prefer to learn to do for myself, even if I do it wrong sometimes. Thanks.......G

OK..... apologies, at 63 and having never touched a PC till the pandemic started, living in a rural area, not having a teacher, I have tried to learn from reading forums, and watching vid's. Teach me, or point me in the right direction to learn. This was better than how I started, deleting all and redownloading all. I have 30 daytime gb's available, and 50 gb's at nite per month,so I started downloading mods to my download folder and installing manually. I have done fairly well considering the lack of understanding the nuances of the computer, but it is way better than xbox! As I said earlier I really have gone thru all mods, all plugins, all data in skyrim se and cant find what is interfering with Serana & Valerica not being overwritten. As an example SSE Edit... I have been to the altar (or whatever they call it) and I have watched a bunch of vid's on it, with very little gained in knowledge as it seems like it is all geared to those who have way more knowledge on the subject than what I have, and the explanation is so fast, and so far over my head I might as well be 6 feet under. So I have yet to understand how to properly use the program. I have it installed, maybe not properly as I followed poets vid. And if I was rude please forgive it just seemed like you did not offer a complete newb anything other than sharp words. G

1ae0bfb8; Gamer Poet on you tube said to do the clean reinstall just like I explained. Maybe something is beyond your Ken if you just want to run someone down, do not post. You Tube: skyrim special edition clean installation tutorial tirdas by Gamer Poet Pickysaurus; I realize anything that loads after overwrites the previous file, I do not have that file downloaded and after uninstalling everything it should not be there. I cannot find the source of that file, and when I installed the mod that changes serana and valerica Vortex did not pop up that rule at me only the ordinary women. And sorry about the necro post won't happen again. Something is blocking serana and valerica from being overwritten by the mod that changes their apperance, trying to find what that is.

I downloaded coldsun1187 mods "coldsun's world-NPC Replacer" pack 1 through 7 and all listed requirements. Every NPC replaced fine except Serana & Valerica. The only thing I could find was a dependency in Vortex stating that it loaded after "Bijin AIO Legendary plus Serana and Valerica" I just did a clean reinstall, I went into vortex, purged all mods, then I deleted my game, Steam, Steamapps, common, Skyrim SE. Then documents, my games, saves, skyrim se. Then appdata , local and deleted skyrim se. I then went to Steam library and uninstalled skyrim se. I reinstalled from a clean backup of the unmodded game files. I am running v 1.5.97 downgraded from AE. I then reinstalled my mods with vortex. I do not have the file in question, nor do I know how it got there, I did use seranaholic last year, but got the black face bug and uninstalled it. The mod is not in Vortex, not in game data files, and I have looked everywhere for the file so I could delete it. Can anyone please help me figure out why this is holding up the replacer mod for serana and valerica. The only dependency when I installed the packs were "must load after The Ordinary Women, which I thought was holding things up so I uninstalled it to no avail, still no makeover for serana and valerica. G

What is strange, Body slide shows fallout 4 items and when I click on outfit studio (lower right corner) I get outfits from Skyrim. Can someone please tell me how to clean all game files (F4) from my PC properly as I feel I missed something, and it kept files to mess my new install. Do I need a separate mod manager for each game?? Thanks, Griz

Hello; First thing is thanks for any help, second is I am old (62) and have no pc training, picking things up as I go. I have successfully modded Skyrim se and have a working game with normal Bethesda bugs. Fallout 4 is a different creature! My issues........... I have Vortex loaded with Skyrim se mods, this is also where F4 mods are managed, was playing and one mod (AAF) started to not work right, so I uninstalled all mods, purged vortex, uninstalled game thru Steam, deleted my vortex mod folder, and reinstalled game, reworked (removed mods I did not use) my mod list and installed them, and where I had a stable game before, now CTD's. Also, I had "lots more settlers and enemies" which I did not reload, left alteration choices in looks menu. Also, when using body slide, I open outfit studio and where before it showed F4 clothing now all Skyrim stuff. Is there a ghost in my pc? What have I missed that I need to deep six? how do I really clean my pc to get back to where I was? My mod list only got shorter; I did not add any. I know a lot of folks will say I am stupid and have no business doing what I do not understand, but with this Covid thing and being bored to tears I switched from Xbox to pc and have not looked back. I started Gaming with the first ever game, Pong. Boy we had some fun with that. Been playing Skyrim since it first came out, Xbox with no mods. Yeah me too... 1st playthrough fine, now i cannot get past tram scene. Steam says contact EA. &30.00 swirling down the drain.
