The Companions members Farkas, Aela the Huntress and Ria are standing still at the location they killed the giant at, only they never move away. I didn't see the Giant VS Companions encounter when I went to Whiterun and joined the companions, and only when I was to report back to Farkas from doing a radiant quest did I notice that they moved to where they kill the giant. Now, I'm doing the quest Proving Honor, and Farkas isn't moving at all when I talk to him. I can tell he has the AI to follow me because he says various lines such as "We need to keep moving," and he takes his weapon out when it take out my own and sheathes it when I do, but he never moves. I tried teleporting him to Dustman's Cairn using moveto player, and he simply starts walking back towards the spot. My load order is: Any help would be appreciated!

I figured out the problem. I was getting tired of the constant black-screens and just said "f*#@ it". I took out ALL of my mods but the official mods, the Vanilla game, and Shivering Isles. It actually worked! The whole game was glitchy and riddled with errors due to turning off all my active mods, but I actually made it to the Deadlands! Now to figure out which mod is the culprit... -

Yeah, sorry...I usually ask for Technical Support once in a blue moon, so please bear with me on this. Anyways, my Load Order is here: http://i.imgur.com/CVDGn33.png The mods I have added are Darnified UI, Dynamic Map, Reneer's Guard Overhaul, Natural Environments, Oblivion Character Overhaul v1, Open Cities Reborn 1.0, Qarl's Texture Pack v1.3, STM Scouter v0.4.4b, Unnecessary Violence III, Whispered Warning v1.2, and Who Am I v1.0 . Bump. I really need someone to help me with this. Without a way to fix this, my save is pretty much ruined and I'll never be able to complete the main quest. -
Whenever I complete the Defence of Bruma quest and start the Great Gate quest, I'm at the point where I'm supposed to enter the gate. The problem is, whenever I do, the game completely loads the cell, but instead of having me enter the cell, the game simply freezes up into a black screen, with the only sounds I can hear being the general oblivion realms sounds. The only option I have at that point is to take out Windows Task Manager and turn off the game. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to solve it?

Once upon a time in 2012, I installed a mod called "Merchants only reply with 'Take a look'". The mod never worked right and I uninstalled it. Ever since then, I've had it where merchants would sometimes never have the barter menu come up after they say their phrases. For example, Alvor will simply say "Looking to defend yourself? Looking to defend yourself? The finest weapons and armor. The finest weapons and armor. The finest weapons and armor. Take a look." before finally giving me my menu. I'd sometimes have other phrases work, but they would be random chance. One or two years later after I uninstalled this mod, this bug has been constantly persisting, even after complete fresh installs, steam updates, checking integrity... The worst part is that now I can't even buy from some merchants, specifically Euorland Gray-Mane and Tonilia simply because they never say "Take a look." This makes me unable to fence my wears in the Thieve's Guild, or buy from what is said to be the best blacksmith in Skyrim, even Tamriel. Has anyone ever found a way to fix this? It looks like BaconCat, the guy who made this mod, is now no longer doing work on this mod.

There was this mod I've once used, but now I can't find it anywhere. It had you perform the normal Helgen intro sequence, but instead of being shaken away by Ralof and told to sprint into the watchtower, you simply lose consiousness and wake up in the afternoon. You then go into the watchtower and grab a nearby dagger to cut your bindings, and are given a list of different professions your character was before you were arrested. After choosing profession, a nearby carriage would contain gear for you to use, and even a nearby horse to fast-travel to a random city. Does anyone know where this mod is?

My character, a Khajiit Vampire Lord, simply uses his vampiric powers and disapates into a cloud of bats, flying towards another city and reconstituting back into what looks like a normal man. Here's the mod, for anyone curious.- 55 replies

Simply, I'd like a mod that expands on the daedric quests. Once your character pledges themselves to a certain prince...why don't they make use of their pawn? For example, there was a quest during development that expanded upon Beothiah's quest. Some time after, Beothiah would tell you to go and assassinate Jarl Elisif the Fair. I'd just simply like a mod that has it where once in a blue moon, the Daedric Prince you pledged to would give you a quest to perform in their name.

Whenever I try to buy or sell something, the people I speak to say their dialogue...but never give the menu up. It seems that this only happens to certain dialogue, such as "Most may call this junk, but me? I call them treasures," while others, such as "Take a look." are giving the menu. This is getting very annoying, because for some merchants, such as Tonilia or Eorlund Gray-Mane, I can't even buy or sell from them, because they only have one dialogue when you get the menu up. If anyone has a solution for this, please tell me.

There's this mod I know called "Alternate Actors" that allows you to take control of NPCs. Maybe you could use the creation kit to make your second character, then use the Control NPC spell to play as your second adventurer?

I'd love it if you add more of those lessons, like the one you see in the beginning. It always bugged me how the only spell you "learn" is the Ward spell. It'd be awesome if you added some more. :biggrin:
