  1. I was able to resolve the issue with the aid of MOTOSXORPIO on the chatroom, who noticed I lacked the RLO Weathers plugin - I'd opted during WryeBash Wizard installation to not use the Weathers plugin due to its incompatibility with the poorly-explained Adaptive Interiors plugin. Study of this plugin suggests it has a very limited and simplistic effect, and by removing it I've not noticed any significant loss or change of interior atmosphere ingame. Replacing it with RLO Weathers, I suddenly have deep, dark nights. They're not as dark as I'd like, still having a blueish starlight/moonlight illumination, but with pitch black night-time tree shadows and the like. It's good enough, particularly on a world with so many nearby solar objects/orbitals and regular aurorae. Nonetheless, thank you for your input, particularly pheo for that detailed response. I've looked into the alternative lighting overhauls proposed, but think I might cause myself too much of a headache if I keep on modding, burn out, and not actually play the game - I did this to myself with STALKER: Call of Pripyat a few years ago. The vanilla game would have entertained me, I'm sure - minor UI modding would have resolved most complaints - and with ~110 mods currently loaded I'm verging on an unrealistic perfectionism. Frostfall, Duel v7 Hardcore, Realistic Needs and Diseases and more will make the game hard enough, and detailed enough, I'm sure :) Upon escaping Helgen, I nearly froze to death, reaching 95% exposure before I staggered into the Embershard Mine, and killed several men by necessity, stealing their fur clothing and tumbling their bodies into the underground pool before grabbing some food, settling at the campfire with a wary eye on the drawbridge, and read some books I'd found in Helgen before sleeping. Tense, delicious experience.
  2. Even with RLO, Rennn? I've had some limited success by swapping out RLO's Adaptive Interiors for Vanilla Weathers plugin for the main Weathers lighting plugin - it is at least somewhat dark now.
  3. I appreciate the advice, but the core of the issue is that regardless of what mods I enable or disable, the lighting system isn't changing, at all. I can do anything I want to RLO and ingame, I'm seeing absolutely no change. Several other users have reported similar issues, with and without ENBs installed; suddenly, the world is too bright at night, and no mods can change it. Thoroughly confusing...
  4. Did you ever find a solution to this? My issues are unrelated, as I use no ENB, but I'm having a similar issue with no mods I enable, disable, install or uninstall having any influence upon ingame exterior lighting conditions, as though something, somewhere, is disabled. Infuriating.
  5. My dungeons are fine, although while troubleshooting the issue they seem to have become 'grey-lit', lacking true blacks as they had before... but my nights? Just like this. Brightly lit, almost like daytime, under night skies. I'm not using an ENB. I cannot figure out what the hell is wrong with it.
  6. Ahoy... Simply put, my nights are far, far too bright, I don't know why, and I've been unable to find a solution over the last few hours. I use Frostfall, Wet and Cold, RLO and around 100 other mods including one to improve dynamic snow, and one which makes rain fall more densely. Another causes rain to splash. I use no ENB, no Climates/Seasons of Tamriel, and nothing else that should alter lighting values other than RLO as mentioned above. I've disabled individual pieces of RLO, and the entire mod - I've disabled Frostfall. I've tried FyTy's 'Darker Nights Brighter Days' mod explicitly released to resolve a similar issue, and it has *absolutely no effect* one way or the other. Nothing does. Absolutely nothing I do to my load order, nothing I add or remove, has any influence on the excessive brightness at night. Meanwhile, my interiors are lit perfectly, rich black darkness and vibrant oranges through to yellows and whites around fires and torches. It looks delicious, I have absolutely no desire to add an ENB when it already looks this good - but once I get outside at night, the lighting conditions resemble that of a cloudy afternoon, despite a dark sky. Having found around five other accounts of the same broad issue, none of which were resolved, I'm creating this thread in the hope someone will have some idea of what could be causing this problem - or even just to convince me it's all in my head, and that the game is *meant* to have nights no darker than this. Screenshots to follow once I've posted and acquired the thread URL for the imgur description. Edit: Here we go... http://imgur.com/a/d9j3v The second shot is while my character is freezing to death in Frostfall, thus the blueish haze, but all three represent the lighting conditions I experience outside at night.
  7. I'm suffering a different though comparable issue and think there might be some crossover, at least in those who might find this thread; My interiors are perfectly lit, using only RLO, no ENB or other mods - very dark, in a word, except in areas surrounding light sources. My exteriors, however, glow with a universal grey illumination even at 2:00AM. I've disabled any of my mods which might effect this and found no change ingame, and tried FyTy's Darker Nights Brighter Days mod - which had absolutely no effect whatsoever. I cannot figure out what it is that's overriding mod settings and creating these unbearably, unrealistically bright night scenes.
  8. My friend and I are both having the same problem. We're using ~100 mods, neatly set up in Wrye Bash, and darkness at night simply doesn't exist. Interior, however, are pleasantly pitch black without the aid of torches or magic. I tried a mod explicitly made to solve this issue ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35370/? ) , and it had absolutely no effect. This is rather frustrating. Not using an ENB, am using RLO, Frostfall, RND and so forth. Any help appreciated.
  9. A necropost, I know, but the issue remains unanswered - I don't imagine anyone has figured out a way to increase friction on specific physics objects, such as corpse ragdolls? It's like everything that dies emits butter from its pores...
  10. My utmost gratitude! As the user above, I'm using a lovely old Logitech 1280x1024 monitor, preferring the squarer aspect ratio, but many games these days do not agree with me >.> Thank you very much =)
