I played around with my load order having racemenu first then the add ons, I've gotten the face paints to work but not the body, hands, or feet. The tabs disappeared actually. Strange. I already did the other things you suggested so I tried messing around with the load order.

I downloaded and installed precache killer which was already included in Racemenu's file. Didn't solve the overlay problem.

No, isn't that built in? Should I get it then?

Hello! I use Mod Organiser as my...mod organiser...and I also use LOOT and MO's version of LOOT. I use SKSE, SkyUI, and USLEEP (The version that works). Everything is up to date (I promise). I have Racemenu, (All the prerequisites), Racemenu base scripts, Racemenu Overlays, KJ Tattoos, and Neithteam warpaints installed. There are plenty of textures available for Racemenu to pick up on. I know where you are supposed to find textures for the overlays, as demonstrated in the photos on my google drive that I've hyperlinked here. But the texture tabs aren't even loading to where I can pick an overlay to apply. Any help or suggestions? The mod Body Imperfect and its addition BI Phenotypes could be what you're looking for. Google it!

Okay, thanks for your input. Any advice is welcome. I posted the issue in the nexus mod manager sub forum. Hopefully that's not against the rules or classified as spam...if it is, I'm sorry- I'll take this thread down. I didn't see anything against it in the rules though...so fingers crossed!

Help please! :D I only have two mods installed since I deleted all of the rest for a new play through...I'm on the last two mods but NMM refuses to delete them. The error I'm getting is "Missing I/O device" (or something similar) and/or "semaphore timeout period has expired" This hasn't happened with any other mod and this is the very first time I'm experiencing this problem. I've downloaded and redownloaded NMM, redownloaded both mods, installed them over the old, and tried uninstalling and even tried the uninstallation in Window's safe mode. Keep in mind when I say uninstall I mean the uninstall/delete permanently option in NMM. The mods left are- the Demon Hunter Armour by Jojjo (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/42169/?) and Wet and Cold (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27563/?) Both are the latest versions of the mod. Thanks for any help in advance!

So, so true. I feel like I'm playing on a potato alarm clock turned pseudo PC. When I saw this I nearly fell out of my seat with laughter. I do fully intend to build my own PC when I have the cash. Thank you for all of your help- it is greatly appreciated. It is clear you've been at this longer than I have and I am humbled to say the least. Update: I'm wiping clean my Skyrim so it has just skse and I'm going to slowly build my game back up. Hopefully I'll be able to strike a balance of what I want and what I can actually do. (Purity is the bomb fyi, if you haven't seen the mod before, check it out!!) I had this balance before I just forgot what mods I had and the load order. >.>

Buy a new external hard drive...or fix it. Sorry, but this seems to be a hardware issue....unless you have two hard drives...in that case perhaps your files are tied up in the waterlogged one? If not, then the issue would be you downloaded a funny version of NMM? I've actually had that happen to me. Either way- Did you try turning it off then turning it back on? lol

Update: The issue seems to be with scripts- either too many at once or a really heavy one showing up about 30 seconds into the game no matter what the action. A lot of mods are using the MCM menu now a days and that seems to be another issue- one too many mcm menus to load. Thank you to Darstyler for helping me, you are the best. Verifying my gamecache and fixing those issues it brought up helped a little but didn't solve the problem. I fixed my ini and that didn't do anything. I keep using new game saves to test this using the Alternate Start mod. And my SKSE is installed properly, and I didn't touch that ini. I've narrowed down the mods I'm using to the ones I REALLY want to use or try out. And this was hard enough. And even with the narrowing down and reinstalling less script heavy versions (cough cough SOS) it is still crashing about thirty seconds to a minute in game. I'm still narrowing down mods until I catch that awful buggy one. Once I've found the solution I'll leave it here for those wondering what to do to help their PC. I would also like to ask- Before my PC crashed and burned due to my father playing with tech he's not used to without my permission (He's not allowed to touch my PC now...and before you ask- I'm a young adult living at home because the economy is trash and I'm saving for a car...Skyrim and Skyrim modding is my guilty pleasure.) I had a script that compiled the errors in papyrus after a CTD (crash to desktop) and I haven't been able to find it again. Any help with that? :) Thanks in advance.

Update: CTD now occurs outside of main screen and inside the alternate start cell. Still looking for fix.

Hello! I am a modder and a veteran of modding MY game...and not anyone elses. I have a vision of an extremely awesome Dragonborn DLC...modded of course...mods are the s#*!. Anyway...I need a team of modders to take on this huge undertaking...anyone interested in helping? :D Here is the future description for the mod: The original DLC, Dragonborn, excited me beyond belief. The release trailer showcased an epic adventure where you, the player, would travel to Solstheim to face off against a criminally insane dragonborn. What I didn't expect was the story to explain itself so little, unlike Dawnguard and the original main quest did. This mod will reintroduce the DLC Dragonborn, as I feel it should be. Here are some of the features... A new fully voiced Main Questline. Only effects the main questline of the dlc. Consequential Choices. Like Mass Effect, your choices matter. Be who you want to be. Choose dialogue options that reflect who you are. Romance. Lore-friendly and far from cheesy, two characters are available for this feature. One male and one female. New Shouts. Fully voice acted using vanilla assets. New unique followers. Advances AI, unique appearences, dynamic relationships.
