Ability that gives + to specials and minus to skills -
Hi everyone I was making custom traits the problem is they dont show up for selection at doc Michell house and I have no idea why I thought I did everything correct ( see the image) can someone help? thanks in advance PS: am i correct that this trait would reduce skill points gained per levev by 5? I was messing with entry points and thats the only way I see that can do it in theory

Day by day I understand GECK a little bit better however I ran across new problem I cant quite wrap my head around,I wanted to replace First recon squad hunting rifles with sniper rifles I noticed that they have a leveled ''package'' lets say that contains hunting rifle in leveled condition and 308 ammo I replaced this with similar leveled package that contain sniper rifle instead of hunting mainly ''WithammoSniperrifleNPC'' however when I start the game they all have hunting rifles when attacked Lieutenant Goroberts attacked me with sniper rifle once (in future tests he sticed with hunting rifle) my question is this why are they having hunting rifles in their inventory when I deleted them in GECK and why the new sniper rifle spawns ocassionaly (chance is set at 0 ) PS: Since corporal Bets is my favourite I gave her Anti-materiel rifle with ammo its in her inventory everytime but she never uses it, only her default hunting rifle with shouldnt be there in the first place

I wish you all the luck in the world hun. I am a veteran of modding here. I know my stuff, you were warned, listen to the others and fight your way through. or do what i told you and have no fights. A simple thing or a really hard knocks thing is your choice. you are fighting an uphill battle not listening to me. Good luck. Kitty Black. Your advice was good but my data directory is a big mess rn from all the mods I installed for my playthrough before I even went modding I think It wil lbe best to play around with MO after I finish playing and make clean reinstall for now I just wanted to clean this one plugin I could relase it with DLC as masters but in order to be fair to that one person on earth that dont have dlcs yet I want to try and clean it at least- 29 replies

For now I used Geck extender and ''clean masters'' in FNVedit it did clean out the packs but main dlcs still remain. I think this might be a problem with GREETING andGOODBYE topics since I didnt uncheck dlcs when first working on a mod they were merged with my plugin and now dialogue topics from DLC such as "'NVDLC01DeanDialogue''are in my reference list (? my terminology could be wrong) should I delete them from FNVedit if so how?- 29 replies

Not possible. not at least at this point. I know due to trial and error sessions, other wise I would be supporting that application here. Portable is local, web site versions is gobble and does not allow what we are doing here. It is best to use an external usb drive or any type of external drive you may own to accomplish these tasks. Or--be very creative on your setup's as far as naming the directories and install paths to completely Isolate the modding assets from a globe program. Could I in theory have GOG version installed for regular gameplay/testing and copy all of the files from install directory to an external drive and do my modding on that drive? sorry for all the question but im new to modding and have lots of ideas- 29 replies

I try setting it up tomorrow and update the post, for now I have a question that might sound very dumb but here it goes. First I started playing the game regulary and I got idea for a mod during gameplay so right now im using Vortex to manage mods and when I work on my mod I switch to a new profile which in theory is clean with only official dlcs installed and when im done I switch back to my regular gameplay profile so this might be a source of my problem I think, Anyway should I finish my gameplay and then start modding? or it dosent matter that much as long as I setup mod organizer correctly?- 29 replies

By using tools that isolate the issues and by hand using those tools. Mod Organizer 2 will allow this to take place. It is the cat's meow for modders. If required I can show screen shots of how to do this. That would be great thanks for the help. Its weird that It cannot be done in GECK itself though- 29 replies

Im making a simple plugin mod Im using only assets from the base game but Geck lists all of the DLC including packs (TribalPack etc) as parent masters how do I fix this?
