  1. Well I have tried to update mods and read descriptions of most of the mods before installing them and yet I have been experiencing lots of CTDs in at least two areas of the game. The first is Nahant, whenever I approach the area doesn't matter from which direction the game would crash. The closest my character could reach was just outside of the Croup Manor settlement from northwest over the water. The settlement and its settlers and everything would load but as soon as I get on the land the game would crash. From any other directions I wouldn't even be able to get close to the settlement which means that the settlement itself is not the cause of the ctd. Then there is this small area west of Bunker Hill, just outside of the Bunker Hill area where there are usually a few raiders and feral ghouls. Whenever I approach that one block the game would crash. I know I have a lot of mods but I hope maybe you guys could help me figure out which mod/mods causing the ctds Thanks! 2. well NMM just wouldn't let me disable my mods...
  3. I suspect it has something to do with the amount of mods you have. I started by using only a few interior mods, outfit/armor mods and follower mods and it didn't lag that much whenever I enter a new area but now after gradually adding high res texture mods (not the crappy one made by Bethesda) and more enemy spawn mods it would lag for at least 2-5 seconds whenever I enter a new area and I consider my PC as fairly high end (gtx 1080 i7 16gb ram)
  4. It doesn't happen all the time but some times after a settlement attack either the npc or one or several of the turrets inside the settlement would just keep playing this loud machine gun firing sound. What could have caused this? Is it because I have the quieter settlements mod? and is there a fix for this other than restarting the game or entering a power armor?
  5. hmm I just checked the comments on the mod page and some were reporting "dirty" edits that could cause ctd and corrupted save files. so yeah definitely going to delete that mod. Is Concord Expanded a more uh stable mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/27333 will check out Inside Job. Thanks!
  6. It's a 7600M, not a 6700M. Besides, we don't know what kind of 7600M we're dealing with. Could be anything from a 7610 to a 7670... sry typo... the link i provided is a comparison between 7600M and HD6750 1gb
  7. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Radeon-HD-7600M-vs-AMD-Radeon-HD-6750/m9552vsm25509 I had the HD 6750 1gb back in 2013 and it could barely run ultra modded Fallout New Vegas... and that pos is about 90% faster than the 7600m
  8. so could Bethesda improve the performance in certain areas of the game through patches/updates? It seems the latest several updates were fixing or adding something else than performance improvements and bugs
  9. I am glad to hear that you will keep updating your mod. I kinda suspected that modding FO4 is a lot more complicated because I do get a lot more ctds and experienced more glitches than playing modded FO3 and NV.
  10. Back when I was playing FO3 and NV all I needed to install was DC Interiors and NV Interiors, both are large enough to add many hours of game play and no ctd or conflicts with other mods (well that's probably because I never had to install any other interior mods since these two were just so uh extensive and well made) but what about Fallout 4... I currently have: Lexington Interiors Beantown interiors Stumble upon interiors plenty o exploration Ms Rae's Commonwealth interiors Commonwealth underground and forgotten spaces Atlantic Offices Subway runner Salem expanded Swamp expanded South of the Sea so yeah....... but with that many mods some compatibility problems would of course exist like CTD between Red Rocket and Concord missing entrances etc So my question is has anyone made a huge ass interior mod that pretty much cover the entire map and added interiors to all the major areas so I can remove all the 11 mods from my load order and replace them with one single mod?
  11. I have pretty much the exactly pc except my gpu is the slower gtx1080 I have some 290 mods with quite a few higher res texture mods but not Bethesdas texture dlc At 1080p the game is running rather smoothly BUT it does start to lag whenever it loads a new area I guess its something I have learned to live with... I doubt upgrading to the best and the latest would improve the performance It was the same when I was playing heavily modded Fallout New Vegas on my old PC with a Sandybridge Pentium and ATI 6750 1gb gpu It runs very smoothly now on my current pc so perhaps in 3-4 years I will be able to play heavily modded FO4 without any stutters and above 60fps with next gen hardware :D my guess is this game probably requires a gpu that is at least 100% faster than the gtx 1080ti for it to run at constant 60fps without stutters
  12. There are quite a few very good mods that also added custom voice files. The problem is that some of them sound like they were recorded by low quality microphones so I am wondering if there are ways to improve them. If it's possible then which software should I use.
  13. Do you have a lot of processes running in the background? also whats your gpu?
  14. great! and I was looking for a less buggy mod to replace More Spawns
  15. how about the good old face ripper https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3878/ strange it wouldn't work for you I usually just download esps that only change appearances of named npcs and use the npc customizer to save it as looksmenu preset that way I wouldnt have too many esps
  16. nah, it's waaaay easier to release crappy paid mods on the CC I highly doubt that they will ever release a paid mod to add useful features to this game like visible holstered weapons
  17. the problem is that in certain areas like downtown Boston or where there are a lot of enemies and/or clutter the fps would drop quite a lot The same problem also existed in FO3 and NV which I did notice a huge improvement in both frame rates and stability back when I upgraded from the ATI HD 6750 1gb to gtx 970. I wouldn't be surprised that I will experience the same kind of improvements when I upgrade from my current gtx 1080 to it's successor in the future. It's stupid though that you would need something that is far above the recommended specs to be able to run a heavily modded game
  18. the easiest and probably the laziest way Use this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14703/ and use the looksmenu For those of us who don't want to use a plugin just to change the appearance of a named npc you could use the plugin and then save it as a json file so you would have one less esp file to worry about
  19. visible holstered weapons (its a hassle and still don't function the way it did in FO3 and NV) and lowered weapons apparently Bethesda never bothered to put these two features into this game not even as paid mods
  20. no, RAM speed doesnt much at all. What's important is that they should be in pairs like 2 or 4 sticks of the same speed and size like 2x 4gb or 4x 8gb https://www.youtube.com/Watch?v=D_Yt4vSZKVk or ask around in the Tom's Hardware forums if you are looking for proof as for graphic memory or VRAM, gpus with more vram are not necessarily better just look at the AMD rx470 8gb and compare it to the gtx 1070 8gb both have the same amount of ram but yet the 1070 is significantly faster Higher quality PSU are better because they are able to give you more constant output AND usually last much longer. I've had a no brand name psu that died on me after a year while my current 500W 80+ gold has been working for the last 3 years again if you have questions about that just Google for reviews or ask around in computer hardware forums like Tom's
  21. yeah... by putting lube on the skin at least it probably made it easier for modders to make sex mods
  22. I've discovered that this game with a lot of mods is very demanding even at 1080p. When I was playing GTA Online on ultra at 4k I was able to get 60fps 90% of the time and about 40-60fps when playing RoTTR in 4K. So far I have installed about 220 mods and only a few high res texture mods and not the free high res texture mod by Bethesda which doesn't even look that much more higher res than the vanilla textures and yet I experience stutters in some areas or even ctd every now and then, usually in places that have been added by mods. So yeah, I would say you need a fairly high end rig to play this game with a lot of mods installed. I suggest: i5 8600K or i7 7700K or equivallent AMD Ryzen cpus a good air or water cooler 16gb RAM GTX 1060 6gb (ideally gtx 1070 or higher) with a high quality PSU
  23. Will you make one for FO4? There is already one for the FO4 but the textures are kinda low res and lack a lot of details. btw it's the dress worn by Alice in American McGee's Alice not Disney's little kid Alice in Wonderland Alice
  24. With that many mods you may need to upgrade your gpu in order to get less stutters. The 770 should be fine without mods but with a lot of mods installed I have discovered that even with the gtx 1080 and i7 you may still experience stutters every now and then at 1080p
