  1. I think you might be right, actually. Unfortunately I can't remember what to do with.INI files. Do you mind telling me how/telling where I can find that information again?
  2. So. I had to stop modding for a few months when i had to buy a new computer. I used to seriously enjoy editing textures and doing texture swaps. However when i edit and save a .dds file those changes do not appear in the game. FOr instance if i edit the .dds file for a ox of abraxo, the box keeps the vanilla texture when i load up the game even though the .dds file is edited. If I open the.DDS file it shows teh changesI made but they then do not load in game. I have tried both GIMP and Photoshop with the peoper .DDs plug ins and it doesnt work with either app. When I load a .DDs file in photoshop the layer appears labeled as a decompressed image instead of as a back ground layer. I actually have no idea what is going on. Please help.
  3. I'm actually not that new to modding, especially when it comes editing .dds files in photoshop and switching out textures. Due to unforeseen circumstances I recently had to buy a new computer. Now I can't seem to edit a simple texture to save my life. I am using the NVIDIA .dds plug in and the most recent version of photoshop. Whenever I open a .dds file it's layer label appears as "decompressed image" instead of "background". When I edit and save it appears to have saved correctly but for some reason only the old texture will show up in the game even though i edited an item's associated .dds file.I am beyond confused right now.
  4. Hi! I am looking for Kiddie Kingdom settlement build items. When I was modding on PS4 finding a mod for this was pretty easy but I haven't been able to find amod for it since moving to PC. I am looking for items like the giant lollipops, gum drops and things of that sort. I would even love some of the gingerbread-style house options, if that kind of thing is available at all. I have looked everywhere and really haven't been able to find it. On PS4 I believe the mod I found this under was USO. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
  5. So. I am using the C.A.M.P mod to use a workshop anywhere. Unfortunately I seem to have lost one of the camps for a settlement and now I cant build anything. If I lay down another workshop and try to open it I won't be able to open it because enemies are nearby. I know this is because I am still in the vicinity of the first camp I used. I cannot find that camp to save my life, though. It's apparently completely lost. I have tried reinstalling the mod and everything, but I can't get the mod to work with me. I have even uninstalled it completley and tried to spawn a workbench only to grun into the enemies issue again.
  6. So, I was convertinga piece of CBBE clothing (from the Colonial Attire mod) and I encountered an issue that is messing up one of the sleeves o.O I have never seen this before and I have done quite a few conversions.
  7. So. I did a conversion of the Colonial Attire dress. I have gotten pretty good at CBBE to Fusion Girl conversions, but this one has stumped me. Can anyone explain to me what is happening with that sleeve? I have never seen this before. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling but that didn't help once I did a conversion again.
  8. I have been having aloooot of fun since I figured out how to retexture stuff. I did doctor who and lisa frank retextures of Steevin's Lacy Feather Dresses. Nexus is being a massive pain in the ass about uploading pics of it
  9. Hey. I am sure this has been asked about and fixed before, but I can't seem to figure out where. Afetr I recolor some of my clothes they seem to develop a weird glow, especially in areas that are white colored. Does anyone have a solution to this? I can see the glow from a mile away. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/images/205706
  10. Dude it really is hard af. The worst part is that I am sure I can learn to do it. I just don't have the patience to get up every day and learn. I havd learned *alot* in the past year since getting fo4 for pc. But it's so hard, dude. Well, not even that it's hard. It's long. It's long, tedious and the interfaces for doing it are not very... friendly. The programs used can be a little exhausting to even look at, I swear. I just want a couple of ballgowns/dresses. I should proibably just work on porting them myself but I know it will take at least a couple of weeks or even months to learn how to do that before I even figure out how to make it available in-game and it's just *alot*. I am only retexturing stuff right now and it's still alot. It's fun, but it's *aloooooot*. I really am hoping someone wil show up who can throw me a bone in the form of even a base dress that i don't have to port myself. The Dimitrescu dress has been amazing. That one dress has about 30 unused texture swap slots I just filled in. I am trying to learn how to make in-game texture switch slots but even that has been a tedious undertaking. I havce downloaded every available dress and gown mod on the nexus forums for both armor and clothing categories and I am at least going to fill my time for a little while retexturing those for myself :)
  11. Yeah to be honest I don't know *alot* about porting or modding or it's restrictions as far as pblishing, so I just don't really do it. But also, idk how lol. I am retexturing alot of the clothes mods I do have downloaded but I don't think I am going to publish them as a separate mod cause idk if I should. I really just want more base dresses and material swap options that I can shove my own materials and textures into. I need more canvases lol.
  12. Here's some retextures of the Vtaw lady Dimitrescu dress that I did (for personal use). I can't get rid of that latex shine and awful glow, though. https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1151/67600451-1621249561.jpg
  13. Well damn. That sucks that there's no actual conversion for this kind of thing. I figured there really might not be. But at least the links might serve as some inspiration for anyone who comes along and wants to make pretty dresses. I figure that not alot of people are gonna wanna try it. But I would love to see whatever anyone came up with, even if it's not converting the above links into fo4 clothes :) I am working on retextures for pretty much every available fo4 dress mod I have been able to find. I actually figured out how to retexture teh Vtaw Lady Dimitrescu dresses! I am super proud of it. I'll post some screenshots in another reply. What is a Space Core? I've never played Fall of the Space Core. How is it?
  14. Hey y'all! I would like to request a mod that adds formal dresses and fancy ballgowns that can be built in-game, maybe at the chemstation? Skyrim seems to have alot of really pretty dress/gown/robe options but idk how to port them for fo4. There's alot of super skimpy and mega short dress mods for fo4, but I am looking for something a little more classic. Though I will say I am a fan of a little bit of chest/cleavage, if that makes a difference. I would like to have some more options for (mostly) appropriate attire for something like a masquerade or a royal setting or even something that would look nice if my characters were walking down the red carpet. I would love to see some wedding dress options. I know how to replace textures for clothing but that's about as far as I have gotten in learning how to do my own clothing mods. I love having extra texture slots when possible so I can kind of design colors and textures for existing pieces. And I can do body conversions. I use FG so I have gotten used to converting clothes from vanilla and CBBE. I am not very adept with modding otherwise. Even if they can't be built in game and I need to acquire them by item code, that would still make me very very very excited. I am sure that what I am asking for is not that easy. Or maybe it is. I don't really know :) WIth that being said, I would like to say that I am happy to collaborate and do whatever I can to make this easier and smoother. I would also understand if no one would want to take on something like this. I would also be happy to accept explanations of how I can do this myself. I have looked at a few tutorials but I don't understand them very welll yet. i would love some help if that can be offered. I am happy to take whatever y'all can help me with. If anyone is willing to take this on, I definitely have some inspiration to be used! Most of it is from Skyrim. If anyone knows how to port clothes from skyrim to fo4, this might be useful. i am definitely open to other designs. I do *not* expect someone to convert every link I have posted. These are just for inspiration. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60840 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/90889 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/94677 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/100126 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/100363 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/100949 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/104504 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24843 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/87476 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/100835 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/93483 Thank y'all for your time!
  15. Im like, suuuuper new to modding. I have no idea what that is. Educate me please :D
  16. Agreed. Doing it by hand has been annoying and tedious and i haven't even been listing *every* piece of furniture/decor I have. I've just beeen listing the crap i care about when i want specifics and giving collective descriptions like "vanilla wood build" or "renovated chairs". I would love to be able to write a script like you've suggested but idk how to do it either lol.
  17. Is there any way to convert bodytalk clothes to an FG or CBBE body in outfit studio?
  18. This is probably a weird question. Does anyone know how to get a list of every item in the settlement workshop menu? I have *alot* of furniture and decor mods. I wanted to make an organized list of everything in a Google Doc so i can ctl+f for anything when i don't remember where it is. Is there anywhere in the files/directory/whatever I can pull a list of every workshop item from? Right now i am just going through every section and typing up every item in game and it is beyond tedious.
  19. So for whatever reason installing anything straight from bethesda break smy animation mods. What I actually ended up doing was downloading Animated mannequins and just adding in my own animations/poses. Actually it's a better solution than what I was initially looking for anyways.
  20. So. i am trying to make some basic statues of NPCs. ALl i really want is an assortment of characters just sitting as if they were ina chair, totally unmoving. That is it. I need sitting npc statues. Bethesda has a mod that covers this but I weirdly can't find anything suitable on Nexus. I can't use the Bethesda mod because it heavily interfewres with everything else I use from nexus (no one likes corrupted save files). In an effort to fix this issue I have loaded up the Creation Kit in an effort to maybe fashion my own NPC ststues. Woudl anyone know how to go about this? I honestly am not sure. Alot of the Crreation Kit looks like it is going to be pretty easy to udnerstand. i have more or less mastered deleting/placing/rotating crap. But I have no idea hwo to go about making an NPC sit permanently. And I have actually tried just killing them and aranging their bodies against a chair in an upright position. it did not work. I also had problems with keeping the bodies in one usable piece. So if anyone knows how to make a place-anywhereable sitting person ststue in creation club or if you have nay other suggestions, I will be open to them. I seriously don't want the statue to do anything. I need no dialogue. Ideally it will just friggin sit forever. Please let me know if you have thoughts on this.
  21. Well I honestly assumed I couldn't run a mod straight from bethesda, through bethesda's mod loader and keep everything i got from nexus running from vortex as well. In mny initial attempts this didn't work for me and I ended up just reinstalling the entire game, clean. It could have been an issue with mod order or something else. But my second go around I stuck with just vortex and everything has been going smoothly despite the obscenely large amount of mods I've got running. So I have just stayed away from bethesda mods ever since. If I subscribe to the mod, install it and activate it from bethesda's modding service, it will let me. On the other hand things seem to get funky from there. When i first gave it a go I had some serious problems with keeping mods from both services constantly active.
  22. Yeah the mod I am looking for has a PC version. Unfortunately it's over on bethesda's site, where I didn't think i'd be able to download stuff from and use Vortex at the same time. I'll go on and admit to being a doof when it comes to this modding business. I am surprised I have gotten this far honestly.
  23. Ooh! I feel like this could get me what I am looking for. I will try it within the hour! Or attempt to. I know literally everyone and their grandmother is going to kick my ass in for saying this, but I am actually using vortex as a mod manager. So far it's going very successfully despite the fact that it doesn't seem particualrly popular with the modding community according to most threads I have read. It's actually successfully managing about 70 mods and half of them are for workshop things. I used to use a more "appropriate" manager when I modded NV in the old days. So I think I can manage with the directions you have given me. Or god knows I can try!
  24. Oh geez! I apologize about that, seriously. I edited the spelling errors I saw in my post. I have a serious issue with making spelling errors. My bad. Crap. That was awful. However as for your reply, I appreciate your help. Unfortunately i am definitely looking for Unlocked Settlement Objects and not Settlement Objects Unlocked. I downloaded SOU when I was looking for USO. It does give me a few things that I like, but it's actually not the same or nearly as comprehensive as USO. Hoemmaker doesn't seem to be nearly as comprehensive either, though it is quite vast. If I can't find the mod I will live. I am just actually missing some of the stuff I had on PS4. USO had about half a million rugs and flooring textures I absolutely adored, alomg with the dozens of static NPC statues I am looking for. I have looked everywhere for what I am looking for, a bit obsessively. I have actually dug through every page and of the mod sections that contain settlements, furniture or other building type items. Most of what I am looking for is to just substitute what I am missing from USO, though.
  25. Hi! So I finally got a computer and got fallout. I had an old mod on my ps4 game called Unlocked Settlement Obejcts/USO by Andrewcx. It added a whole bunch of stuff to the game. One thing it added was realistic NPC and animal statues. So I could have a "statue" of a raider sitting and I could place it over a chair and he would sit there forever. He was entirely static, with no way to talk to him or anything. it was seriously just a statue. And USO Added statues for most animals and types of NPC with one or two poses. I wish I could just get USO but I cant run mods from Bethgesda and mods from NBexus at the same time, or at least I don't know how to do so. So I am looking for something similar.I want two of my companions to get married to each other (judge me) and I am trying to create an audience for their wededing that will respectfully sit in their pews and watch instead of running about and making my screenshots shoddy.
