Do you have a male body installed? I didn't see anything like that when I browsed your plugin list but I don't use them myself so I wouldn't know what to look for specifically. I see you have all the unofficial patches which I know fixes several of those issues, so it seems like something you've added afterwards is breaking that. Anything that changes the meshes of the vanilla textures (sometimes replacers don't need an esp and so won't show up in a list like that)? Are you using NMM or MO? Have you tried loading your mod list into TES5Edit and maybe seeing what's overwriting what?

I'm pretty sure you can disable the animations for whistling for your horse and/or waving at it so it'll wait/follow in the MCM. I used to use CH, but switched to IH because of the lighter script load and the summoning horses from nowhere for your followers was kind of odd.

Mercer had one of the keys required to open the treasury door, plus so he could get inside. I imagine he would sneak in at night when everyone was sleeping or on a job and take what he could carry out without attracting attention. There probably wasn't anything too huge in there like weapons or armor, just gold, jewels, ingots, small trinkets like necklaces, rings, etc. As for why they'd not make any withdrawals... I always thought the room was just a status symbol, or a collection of cool things the guild had "acquired" ;), not really an actual bank.

Okay, so... I fudged something up and I'm not sure what/how. In the process of trying to update MO, I accidentally removed all my mods... Fine, I can deal, I need get rid of all of the big texture packs anyway, right? So I grabbed my gameplay/immersion mods (and SMIM and TRF, because ew vanilla meshes, water, and mountains), but now the game runs WORSE? I only experienced the occasional CTD with no warning, usually after some time of actually getting to play - now it CTDs all over the place with the "Skyrim has stopped responding message" after about five minutes. I had done a stress test before starting this new save and got an amazing FPS boost - I was averaging an amazing 20+ FPS outdoors and a max of 55 FPS indoors. I could definitely deal with the vanilla textures for being able to play! So I started up, managed to get to Whiterun, and am now crashing all over the place. I can only save with quicksave, even pressing ESC crashes the game now. There are no orphaned scripts, I've cleaned everything with T5E, created my Bashed Patch, ran all my SkyProcs, etc. etc. Active Mods

I remember seeing a mod on the Nexus, a long long time ago, that made bound weapons use the model of the actual weapon like in Oblivion so they weren't a glowing, ghostly distraction right in front of your face. Anyone know where I can find it or another like it? I've searched through everything using the word "bound" and didn't see anything. :c

I literally just noticed this for the first time ever a couple of hours ago. Saw it from the front and thought it was a hornless dragon skull until I actually checked it out. I think it's just a bit of decoration.

Did you become Thane before winning the Civil War for the Stormcloaks? If you become Thane in a Hold that later changes sides after the Civil War, the new Jarl/Steward won't recognize you as a Thane of that Hold anymore unfortunately. And I don't think there's a way to regain it, at least not that I've found. I've run into this a couple times before I just gave up on the Civil War completely. :/

While I agree that it's entirely too easy to become Thane in several of the holds, I know Solitude has at least two Thanes already, Bryling and Erikur. So you're not the only Thane.

@bben46 I already turn off anything in the background that I can possibly close with the task manager when I want to play. How do I check my power supply or page file? I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to, to be honest. As for antiviruses, I don't think I have one, unless Microsoft Security Essentials counts. :/ I also don't have a defrag program that I'm aware of. I had Revo Pro Uninstaller (or something along those lines) until my free trial ran out. I downloaded the Junkware Removal Tool, thank you. Now that I think about it, I should probably just get an entirely new computer, as this one has other miscellaneous problems and can no longer download anything through windows update.

I'm not insulted at all. ^_^ The numbers mean nothing to me unfortunately but I will definitely talk to someone and see about getting a better rig. I didn't think this computer was really fit for it, but it was a gift, so... I didn't want to insult the giver. Should I just get a new computer entirely, or would replacing my graphics card be sufficient? As a note, I did try to replace the card once, and it wouldn't take. The computer would start up, but display nothing - I had to put the old one back inside. So I'm worried even if I buy a newer one, the hardware inside my tower is just not compatible and/or capable of handling it. Unfortunately I won't be able to spend over $300 (converted euro to dollars) on just a card; I only get $500 a month on disability and $370 goes immediately to bills. =(

Hello Nexus Community! I've been afraid of posting here for a long time, but everyone seems so nice and helpful, and I'd really like some input about my computer and Skyrim setup. I'm not very computer savvy, so I have a lot of questions and would appreciate some help and suggestions. I apologize if I'm rambly, as I'm trying to be as thorough as possible. I'm having trouble with my modded Skyrim, of course. I've been playing the game for about three years and modding it for the last year and a half to two years I'd say. I have SKSE, SkyUI, ENBoost, and OneTweak installed. I use MO, LOOT, FNIS, TES5Edit, and Wrye Bash. Like anyone, I've got a handful of texture packs, but I use 1K textures whenever available. I'm also aware I have a couple of script heavy mods. I've already cut back quite a bit so I'm not sure what else I can live without. I supposedly had a gaming computer built/bought more or less specifically for Skyrim after I bought it. These are my specs. Windows 7 + Service Pack 1 Intel® Core i3 CPU 530 @ 2.93GHz 2.93GHz 16.0 G RAM NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT Are they low, medium, or high? I know I should probably definitely upgrade my graphics card but I spent my "me" money buying Minecraft the other day. :tongue: *shakes fist at Gopher* My general problems are: -Crashing straight to desktop with no warning after some time of play (can be anywhere from ten minutes to an hour) -Lots of stuttering (indoors and outdoors, pretty much every few minutes of play) -Low FPS (anywhere from 10 - 30 without ENB, drops considerably with ENB enabled obviously) The game is playable if I'm patient but I feel like there's something I'm missing? Or am I just deluding myself after watching videos of others playing with mods + textures + etc and boasting 30 - 40 FPS? Do I need to seriously consider getting a new computer/graphics card/something else along those lines to improve my Skyrim/gaming experience? Turn off "Stealth Invisibility" in EFF's MCM.

I use "Serana Learns Soul Cairn Spells". You can completely toggle off her ability to raise the dead and/or use her AoE spells. Aela. :) That was so long ago that I don't remember the specific character aside from being a Nord who'd invested a lot in Smithing. I was so excited to craft Nord Hero Armor for her only to be disappointed that it used the same models as Ancient Nord Armor she already wore!

Without touching on anything else about this situation as it's not the place, I absolutely don't like the 25/75 cut. It should go entirely to the mod author(s). I'm also going to start donating, hopefully a little each month to a different mod author who has their mods on the Nexus for free, that I use and love. While Skyrim itself is a wonderful game, it's the mods that keep me coming back to play! It's not going to be a lot, but it's something to give back to the people who have made these last couple of years full of memorable Skyrim adventures. By the way - PayPal will automatically convert my USD to whatever currency they need, right? I haven't used that old thing in about at least a year and only yesterday updated my email and number so I could do just this. *retreats into obscurity*

Okay... I've tested this out on a few different saves to make sure and I definitely have some sort of issue. I can't damage frostbite spiders almost at all. Sometimes I get lucky if I'm in third person shooting from a distance with a bow, but once they get up close, I can't damage them. It seems like their hit box has gotten a lot smaller. I'm swinging daggers and swords in their legs/faces and I don't even hear the weapon impact noise. Even Flames/Frostbite/Sparks doesn't do a thing, neither does the apprentice level spells, but I haven't tested it with the adept spells yet. I literally just finished having to run around in circles and wait until Serana killed three of them that were totally focused on being in my personal space... it's time to do something about this. I have all the all three DLCs, all the Unofficial Patches, SkyUI, SKSE, Categorized Favorites Menu, some armor/weapon retexture mods, immersive weapons/armors/settlements/animations, Better Vampires, Werewolf Mastery, and some miscellaneous mods that alter the look of the player/npcs.

I've searched all over Google and the Nexus looking for a mod or mods that do these things, but I just can't come up with anything that's quite what I want. It's possible I've overlooked something and one of these things exist. Thank you for reading this and feedback would be quite appreciated. Starting Spells The best I can find only removes Healing and Flames from new characters. But if you happen to pick, say, Altmer or Breton, it won't get rid of the race-given Fury or Summon Familiar. I was hoping somebody would be able to make something that would let you choose what (novice) spells you wanted to start with, if any, and remove Flames and Healing if you don't want them as well. Racial Powers II'd like to be able to choose what power best fits my character, not my character's race. Why can't a bloodthirsty Redguard/Argonian/Dunmer have Berserker Rage? Why can't a nature-loving Breton/Khajiit/Altmer have Command Animal? I find it really restricts gameplay and my own immersion. You don't seem to be able to remove racial abilities via the console, though I think you can add them. Skill Locks I found one mod that would cap/lock skills (prevent them from gaining any experience points past a certain level), but it had to be done with a book you can't pick up, that's only in a single location. If somebody could make this kind of thing into either a book/object I can bring with me, a power, or in the MCM for SKSE, that would be awesome.
