  1. Oh, thanks man! You can probably tell I'm new to all this sorta stuff then haha. Thanks for all of your help anyway , Still going through the dirty edits and cleaning them too! I'll keep you updated. Edit: Ok, I've managed to clean all of the dirty edits. I have disabled and deleted Open Cities from NMM which should have done the trick. I have tried to download it from Dark Creations but once it is downloaded it comes up with an error saying it can't be opened. I think I'll be able to deal without it until a more stable version comes out anyway. I'm going to start a new game on Skyrim now and just make sure its running fine around and inside Whiterun.
  2. Alright, thanks for all the help man! I've just cleaned the masters from the official stuff, I'm gonna go through and clean all of the other mods that need it and then I'll start up a new game and see if the problem persists. If it does then I'll go and get the Dark Creations Open Cities instead :D. I shall reply when I've finished everything and checked whether its all working :P.
  3. Before I reply to you markus I have to ask something which might seem nooby, how do I delete the merged patches from TES5Edit from my plugin load order in NMM? There doesn't seem to be an option and I would like to keep renaming the merged patches the same just so I know what's going on. Now then, I have unchecked all the Lanterns for Skyrim plugins which I do not need and I shall watch that video and clean the rest of the plugins which need doing so, quick question about this though, I don't need to clean the official DLCs or the Update.esm do I? Thank you for the idea with Open Cities, I thought it was a great idea but if that is what you believe is causing these game freezes and CTDs upon loading the saves in these areas then I can deal without it. Thanks for the help! I will be sure to let you know how it goes when I finally clean all the dirty edits :).
  4. Oh shoot, thanks for the heads up. Yeah, normally I just scan through it and don't take the time out to read it thoroughly enough. I will do this and try and load a save in or around Whiterun and also try a new game and see if, when I get to Whiterun, it crashes or not. I'll get back as soon as I get to it!
  5. Ok, before I begin I will tell you that I am rather new to modding and have mainly been experimenting with new mods etc. I use BOSS to help with load order and as of yesterday used Wrye Bash to maked bashed patches and TES5Edit to make the merged patches to help me solve my problems, and for the future of my modding experience. So I have recently installed pretty much all of the main mods I would like to use whilst playing Skyrim - around 160ish plugins and possibly more mods which don't actually show up as plugins in the NMM window. I decided to start a new character as the previous one I used was mainly for experimentation, making sure mods did not cause me to CTD abruptly and to try and make sure there were no conflicts which generally just cause problems in the game. I finish the alternate start and make my way to Whiterun. Once I get within the outskirts of Whiterun or actually get lucky enough to make it in there I end up getting a game freeze - all the display is still and there is a frozen image, however the sound 9 times out of 10 is playing fine. Luckily before I get there I save multiple times. Now when I end the game with task manager and start it up again to try and load the previous save up, if that save is in Whiterun or around the outskirts then the game will load for at least 10 minutes+ eventually leading to a CTD. If I decide to load up a previous save before I arrive at Whiterun then I am able to play it until I get close or inside Whiterun, at which time I will inevitably get a game freeze. Basically, I would like to know if my load order is messed up, if i have any conflicts which I may be unaware of due to me being a new member of the modding community, if there is a possible fix and generally anything along these lines would help me greatly and I would appreciate it immensely. I would simply like to get into Skyrim and start up a nice new character and play the game with minimal CTDs and/or game freezes so that I can actually enjoy the experience of a rather heavily modded game (I do not know what constitutes a heavily modded game but I assume 160+ plugins might do). I will try and paste my BOSS log in here to allow you guys to possibly diagnose the culprit(s) of these problems I am having, or at least give me an insight as to how I might go about fixing these problems. As a quick footnote before finishing this post off, I have not cleaned any dirty edits with TES5Edit as of yet, the only thing I have done with that tool is create the merged patches. I read somewhere that its best to leave mod cleaning to mod authors, regardless I would still be willing to learn how to clean these dirty edits if this turns out to be the problem. I have also only used Wrye Bash to make bashed patches, all of my mods are downloaded and installed with NMM as I only just got Wrye Bash yesterday to try and see if bashed patches would fix my problem and it seems a rather tedious and arduous task to move all my mods into folders which are compatible with it in order to reinstall them all again. Sorry to be going on but there is one last thing, I have the warning about the JSwords.esm and it tells me to download a Sharlikran's Compatibility Patch. I have done so and yet I still get this warning, however it doesn't seem to affect the mod or my gameplay as this was one of the first mods installed. I have tried to give you guys as much information as possible in order to help me out but if there is any further things you need to know then just ask. Thank you for any replies and anyone who can offer me any help in advance! =D
