I don't have access to the links right now, but one mod was to for showracemenu, and the others were beauty mods that required the showracemenu mod.When I initially enabled those mods, the game ran but I'm assuming the mod glitched because the npcs had no detail on them. Thats when i uninstalled everything and tried again. Do you think I just need to try different mods and see how they work? Or am I missing a step other than installing and enabling in vortex? àààIS it Showracemenu ALTERNATIVE, or RACEMENU? Because if it's Racemenuàthen it also requires SKSE64 If it's SHOWRacemenu ALTERNATIVE, then it doesn't Would that be a reason the game failed to launch? I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. The game always launches through Steam. When I first installed the game, I added 2 mods, and the game launched and ran, but the mods didn't load correctly. I disabled and uninstalled those mods, and thats when the game stopped launching completely. I reinstalled the game, made sure the base game worked fine, and then added only one mod to vortex. With just one mod enabled, the game wouldn't launch, and I had to completely reinstall again. Now I'm at the point where I have the base game that will run, but no mods installed. Is there another step I'm missing besides just installing and enabling the mods in vortex? I don't want to reinstall the game again if I can help it. Is it helpful to know that this is my first time having Skyrim on PC, and so my first time trying to mod from Nexus?

When I click on Skyrim, I am able to get to the window with the "play, options, etc" menu. When I select play, it just simply doesn't launch. I have tried to restart after installing a mod to see if that makes a difference but so far it hasn't. Skyrim is the only game I currently have managed in Vortex. I won't be able to be back at my computer until later tonight. What should the "right place" be in the menu you mentioned?

I have Skyrim SE through Steam. The base game works fine, but every time I download a mod through vortex, it fails to launch and I have to uninstall Skyrim, then reinstall to get it to launch.. I have made sure all mods were compatible with the SE, and I have tried to only enable one at a time. Even with one mod enabled from Vortex, the game won't launch. What am I doing wrong??
