  1. The problem is the number of animation that the game is loading from your save. Sorry I'm so late to this thread but I just found the reason for this issue myself. I will gladly explain the issue and provide some solutions below. [EXPLINATION] The reason that skyrim crashes upon loading with poser "on" is because it's trying to load all of the animations, not only for your character, but for EVERY NPC within render range as well. This becomes an issue because of technical jargon I don't understand (in a nutshell, it's a hard-coded issue and cannot be patched, fixed, or otherwise corrected). There are, however, some ways to get around this limitation: [sOLUTION 1 - Loading the "qa smoke" cell] When you open skyrim, do not click continue or load. Instead, open your console with the tilde key (` all of you should know this by now). Type the following and hit enter: coc qasmoke What this does is loads the qasmoke cell (a testing area that was included with the stock game) using a preset lvl 1 character. Once this cell loads and you are in the game and able to move around, simply hit escape and load your game from here. [sOLUTION 2 - Disabling poser] Before you load skyrim, disable through whatever means you manage your addon (Nexus Mod Manager, Mod Organiser, etc). Run FNIS and update your animations. Load skyrim and try loading your game. [sOLUTION 3 - Save somewhere privately] One reliable solution is to remember to save in an area where your player is alone. For example, I save in my breezehome without any NPC's in my home. This way the game is only loading animations for ME, and not trying to load them for each skeleton in the scene. This runs off the same idea as using the coc qasmoke method. The game is loaded with your character being alone so that the animations are not bogging down the game. -On a final note, I find that having poser installed is a bit of an annoyance (carrying around a surplus of rings and having all those extra powers in my magic menu) so for this reason I tend to leave it disabled and only load it up when I want to make some fancy screenshots. I reallly hope this helps someone out who has been having the same problem(s) I have these past few days. Now you know what the problem is, and how to avoid it. ~Synth
  2. I'm not a modder, but I did do some searching for it since it looks like whoever created that picture just faked it to show an example of his mod (Pretty_Combat_Idles). It looks like the pic was photoshopped or something (see the area around the feet, a slight outline/glow). Yes it is Ryu, from the popular Ninja Gaiden series.... I don't see how this is illegal. The content may belong to the game creators but nothing is being sold or profited from.
  3. That's what I originally thought. Unfortunately, after taking a look at some of the elements of the mods it appears that the wings for Better Vampire Lord Trans removes the wings from the character model, and applies it to the armor (still unsure, but tinkering with the character model showed no wings unlike the original model). And taking a look at Grimoa's revealed the original vamp lord model with the added webbings. I just need to figure out how to move that webbing (along with it's texture) into the wings that are on the armor for the other mod. I'm aware that the larger wings are already compatible, that's how I use it as is. But when I started using the mod that changes my vamp lord to look like my character, I really miss the webbing in the wings. That's all I want added into it. If I can't also get the wings to be larger, I'll just have to live with it. ~ This is why I created this thread, I am aware that the 2 main mods I want merged are not compatible... I'm looking for someone capable to find a work-around or just remake the wings attached to the existing armor.
  4. No real explination needed, I like it. The orb reminds me of one of the chicks from League of Legends. She shoots out an orb that has a type of "Boomerang" functionality to it, causing damage to target(s) hit before returning to her. I think that you could apply this effect to both the orb and the disk (in addition to a boomerang model of course!).
  5. Be aware that I am not a modder, but I do believe you can achieve this using the telekinesis spell. There is a mod here on the site (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5176//?) that improves the spell, making it pick things up and throw them faster, and even from a further distance. Using that mod you can kill someone by throwing cabbage (seems to be the catch phrase on that mod, lol). -- Unfortunately it does not allow you to pick up corpses, but I found an alternative for that: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=87289597 A mod on the Steam Workshop that is another Telekinesis spell that allows you to grab & throw people/animals/monsters (now that I think of it, I wonder if it will let me grab dragons LOL). In addition, there is another mod here on Nexus that makes your arrows spin (looks awesome during a slow-motion kill with a bow at long distance) http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37358/?
  6. INTRO: I really like the Better Vampire Lord Transformation mod. It makes your vamp lord look like your female character, with a few armor and wing options. (I prefer the winged cbbe/unp option) - I also really like Grimoas Vampire Lord mod, which just changes the wings to look like bat wings (adds webbing). The bat wings look very impressive when used with Larger Vampire Lord Wings, obviously making them bigger and more impressive! Explination: I have been switching back and fourth with these mods for the past week or so because I really like them both, but they aren't compatible. I've tried loading them both, changing load orders, even swapping and exchanging the models that come with them, but I cannot seem to get them to work together. I have very minor modding experience... I used to do a lot of re-textures and model replacements for Morrowind years ago when it was popular, but that is about the extent of my abilities. I'm great with photoshop (I use it for a living) but when it comes to the creation kit and all of these custom models, skeletons, and linking it all together... I'm lost in the woods. I'm sure with anough time and effort I could learn everything I need to know to make this work, but I would much rather spend that time playing the game! Now I know from personal experience that some people out there bust balls to make mods for people they don't know, just out of the kindness of their hearts. Whether it's simple edits or even tough changes that require them to learn things outside of their current arsenal of skills. - For those modders, I'm willing to offer a reasonable donation to have this mod made. If you think you are up to the task and can make this work, simply post here and let me know. Before you begin, let me know what you expect and just how difficult you believe this might be. - I have no problem discussing donations so long as it's reasonable. :-) Recap: In short, this is what I want: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25321//? - Winged CBBE/UNP option + http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29085//? - The webbed/bat wings + http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37177//? - These larger-sized wings. ***Be aware that I use the UNP Skinny mod* and I am currently playing a Dark Elf (female of course)
  7. Well it's been over a year since Valatros posted this. I've been looking around for about an hour now for something like this and all I've come across is a mod that increases the damage you do to people when throwing objects at them via telekensis (stupid if you ask me). Has there been any update like this to anyone's knowledge? I assume if a modder who knew how to change game variables was willing, this probably wouldn't be that hard.... but I know very little about creating mods or changing scripts for the game. - At least you wouldn't have to make any meshes or textures!
