  1. Well I from and immersion stand point, it isnt very realistic to go through a wall and find a big empty blue space, with nothing in it. In real life there would be just a bunch of rock and dirt. But in skyrim, you arent meant to go through walls, because theres nothing behind it. This will also break many quest lines because you could just cheat and quickly get to the target, destination, etc. So if you want to tcl then go ahead, but there is not way you are going to make it immersive.
  2. Okay I think I understand what you are saying. However, you will find that many mods are greatly enhanced with sky-ui, and others will not work without it. This is because that skyui also alows for a mod managment tab, that allows you to change the mods settings within the game. I personally don't like the layout of sky-ui but I use it so I can have those mods that require it. Its your choice, though. But as for editing the menu Im sure there is a file that came with the update that changes it. Im not sure what file, though, so it looks like I wont be much help.
  3. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3863/? I didn't really understand what you are asking but this mod is arguable a must have for skyrim.
  4. Well Ive seen crazier race mods than that so its probably possible. I won't be much help though as I have no experience with races in the CK.
  5. Actually Skyrim will basically shoot exactly where the center dot (hud I beleive?) is up to a certain distance. So not only do you want to know how to adjust but at what distance you need to adjust. In oblivion archer was very realistic in that you needed to adjust at a fairly short distance compared to skyirm where you point and shoot. Ive never had a problem with archery in skyrim and it is very rare that I miss a still target.
  6. Never Mind I just figured it out. I used sqt to find the quest id and then used trial and error to find the right quest stage.
  7. And as you may remember he was executed when I walked into solitude. The quest says "steal the flawless amythest from Roggvir at solitude. I tried using console to place him but he didnt have anything on him. What should I do?
  8. Hmmm maybe you could make a couple of outhouses in every city/town and alter everyones schedule to go take a dump every day. The outhouse is its own cell and inside it is just like a port-a-potty. That sounds like a lot of work and just doesn't seem worth it to me.
  9. If you can't find a sound marker try deleting the grind stone and then see if the sound goes away. If it does then add another grindstone where the old one used to be and the sound should be gone. Its just a theory, though
  10. plus most npcs dont eat anyway so they would never need the toilet.
  11. Here it is http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/40840/? . The cap has been raised to level 100.
  12. Ya Ill make one for you real quick. Should be done in a few minutes
  13. After you get the hang of it mods are pretty simple.
  14. Could you make that mod public so I can check it out as well? (Sorry for double post) yes, I can do that.
  15. Since you are new to modding I will give you a complete summed up tutorial. There are three ways to install a mod. The first way is to download with NMM. When you are at the mod page in the files tab (or at the top of the page), there will be the option to either "download with NMM" or "Download with Manager". Both of these do the same thing so it doesnt matter which you choose. Upon clicking the button NMM will open up if it wasnt already and start to download the mod. After it is done downloading all you need to do is go into the mods tab of nmm and activate it. If it has a green check next to it it is activated and ready to go. This is the most recommended way of installing a mod for begginers because it is easy and simple. The next way is also easy but not quite as simple. Instead of downloading with NMM you could download it manally, which will download an archive with either .7zip, .7z or, .rar. Drag that archive into the desktop and keep it there temporarily. Then open up NMM and click the jigsaw piece with a green plus sign on it. This will ask you to locate the mod on your computer. Navigate to desktop and click on the mod archive you just put there and click open. It will install the mod parts in the necesary places and you can activate it and it will be good to go. The final way of installing a mod is completely manually. if you want to install a mod manually you should drag all the contents of your mod into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data. This is assuming you have downloaded with steam and you have a 64 bit computer (thats probably what you have). If you have 32 bit then steam would be located in program files instead of program files (x86). Now that you have found the data folder, drag the contents of the mod into it and click yes to any messages. Then open up NMM, and go to the plugins tab. The mod you put in the data folder should be in the plugins tab. Check all the necesary plugins of the mod and NMM will make sure they load. This not recommended for more complex mods but is necesary to completely understand mods. I dont know what you did to try and install the mods but these are the three ways to do it using nmm.
  16. Ah, thank you. I figured out half of it by deleting the vendor keyword but didn't realize I had to add the nosale keyword. Much appreciated!
  17. The title pretty much sums it up, I want my armor to be unsellable but still dropable. I cant seem to lower the value of the enchantment on it and I dont think its really worth 25,000 gold so I just want the player to not be able to make a lot of cash on it. How do I do it?
  18. Are you dragging the mods into the skyrim directory data folder? You said something about drag and drop back into nexus mods? What do you mean by that?
  19. Well im stumped. My only suggestion would be to check your skyirm.ini file to see if everything is in order there otherwise just try reinstalling it 2 or 3 times and if it doesnt go away I dont know what else to do.
  20. Wait so if the mods are being deleted, what are you doing to reinstall them? Is NMM redownloading all the files or is it just trying to install a mod that doesnt exist?
  21. Well Ive never heard of that before but maybe you could uninstall then reinstall NMM? See what happens then.
  22. Well I dont see an alternate start mod in there so try http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9557/? I dont see anything wrong with your load order, but then again, I ddint look. Anyways try that mod, its great if you like to have many characters but you dont like the lengthy opening scene. Either way your opening scene might be bugged by a mod or other reasons. Anyways if you dont get crashing or freezes than you should be fine. P.S I didnt reply because I saw there was one reply in fact I rarely even look at that.
  23. Well for starters, deactivate all of your mods and try it then. If it is still messed up, try reinstalling skyrim. Like Ishara said it might be a keyboard issue. If none of those work I dont know what to tell you.
  24. Just for clarification before I make the mod, you want Auriels bow to block the sun permanently when fired at it?
