  1. Looking for the mod that (give or take, bugs involved) allows you to switch bodies & play with any humanoid NPC/some creatures additionally. I know it exists because I saw it featured here sometime ago. Any & all help MUCH appreciated.

  3. I was wondering if it is possible to find a certain object's texture file/folder structure the same way it is to find the object's nif. __________ For example in the creation kit: A Whiterun Signpost's ID is SignWRPost01 Under "model" in the Static object window the Nif location is conveniently listed as follows Clutter\Signage\Whiterun\SignWRPost01.nif _________ Based on this information I know the folder structure for the nif in my unpacked BSA. Is there a way I could also find the dds/texture location as well in the Creation Kit? Any and all help apreciated. If this is not however possible through the creation kit, then I would like to know that as well.
  4. So I understand that running higher resolution texture packs (body, city, landscape. ect) can put quite a load on your virtual memory and eventually max it you use too many. I was wondering however if running purely default sized texture replacers would have an effect on the virtual memory as well. On one hand it certainly seems like it would not, because the engine is still loading the same size texture sizes (therefore no "more" memory should be required). On the other hand I worry that there might be some well known modding rule of thumb that I am missing which says something along the lines of "Anytime anything is referenced outside the BSA, (so in this case "textures in the Data/textures directory) it ALWAYS requires more, just because." Any help would be appreciated. I ask primarily because I recently unpacked & began retexturing certain locations & objects (personal taste mostly)- but am concerned that I may eventually pay for it down the line if I retexture too much (again, even though they are all the exact same resolution/size as the default). I know I am close to my max virtual memory and would like to know if doing this is something I should be concerned about :p Again, ty for any/all replies.
  5. I recently hit the apparent max for virtual memory (4 gigs ram) in my game (restarting with a fresh install )- & had a very particular question about the Skyrim's virtual memory behavior in terms of mods. I know running HD textures can cause it to fill up it's virtual memory like none other- & was wondering if relatively small mods (armor) count towards that total as well. I.e, could I eventually bog my system down to 5 fps by maxing out out it's memory again by using strictly armor mods, which (presumably) unlike a texture pack (always visible & affecting memory) would be using memory only when it's equipped or interacting in the world some way. Obviously I have no desire to do this- it's more of a hypothetical apeal to "Just how cautious should I be about armor downloads", & if so- do super minor esp game tweaks (increasing the defense of Nordic Armor & very simple things like that by esp) have any bearing on memory. I would assume any negative effect would be almost invisible (given their simple function)- but if this is not necessarily the case- I would appreciate being corrected.

  7. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11310 Sorry for the belated response. Not sure if you've found this one or not- but figured I'd mention it as just this morning I floated from the Dragonsreach steps down to the lower Whiterun gate (in conjunction with a jump height multiplier script). I doubt you would need any jump multiplier though :P
