  1. In maximizing my personal power, nothing stands in my way. Silus Vesuis is in my way of gaining something valuable. He dies. In real life, I'm caring and considerate, and go out of my way to be a good person. In Skyrim, I'm an utter sociopath.
  2. Get all of them. Hearthfire, on the surface of things, is the least interesting, but has the potential to change how fast you level up more than any other DLC because of one specific item it introduces: a garden/greenhouse. Experienced players will understand why this is such a radical (and immensely beneficial) addition.
  3. In my opinion, the only absolutely essential mods to enjoy the game fully are the Unofficial Patches (the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, Unofficial Dawnguard Patch, Unofficial Hearthfire Patch, Unofficial Dragonborn Patch and the Unofficial Hi-Res Patch, if you downloaded Bethesda's free Hi-Res Texture pack), which will fix many if not most of the game-breaking bugs that will occur in a pure Vanilla game. Those will stop the game from breaking...and the pure Vanilla game will have game-breaking glitches without those patches. Arthmoor and the rest of the Unofficial Patch Team are really doing Bethesda's job, and they should get a medal for their efforts, IMO. Outside of that: no, in my opinion, you don't need anything further. Also: if you start introducing mods before you have any idea of what an unbroken game should play like, you really won't be able to tell if a mod you've introduced is doing something that it shouldn't be. Personally speaking: I would download the Unofficial Patches, and play the game just like that. It'll probably keep you busy for hundreds of hours. Get a feel for the game, and THEN start gradually introducing some mods to it. This is a conservative approach, but trust me: the basic game with all the official DLC's and the Unofficial Patches is mind-blowing good, just on it's own. Play your game, and enjoy!
  4. This is far beyond my pay grade, but I noticed right off the bat that your load order of the Unofficial Patches could be incorrect. The load order that Arthmoor recommends looks like this: Skyrim.esm Update.esm USKP Dawnguard.esm UDGP Hearthfires.esm UHFP Dragonborn.esm UDBP [Other ESMs] Official hi-res DLC UHRP That's straight from the updated Unofficial Patches ReadMe. Yes, this is a relatively "newer" load order. I can't say whether that's causing your CTD's,...I'm a user, not a modder...but it's probably not helping, either. Good luck.
