  1. I think he's roleplaying a ancient Chinese character and looking for MODs that could help his immersion
  2. you're trying to tell us something or what ?
  3. Ok I've solved the problem for me. I had 3 of those <Error: Could not be resolved> errors in Fo3Edit when creating a merged patch but after I used BOSS and rearranged some mods manually according to different lists found on nexus mods pages these errors are not appearing anymore when creating the patch. So basically it was only a load order issue. Hope this will help anyone who encounter this.
  4. Oh, it's SkyRe then I didn't know this was added by this mod Thanks for your answer anyway, I will check with the mod's author
  5. hi, I was using Sharpshooter for a long time before last month I've switched to Countervibe ENB ( I'm using the high performance option - No SSAO, but still look very good ). It's not quiet exactly similar to Sharpshooter, it has its own taste, but you should give it a try. Dungeons will still look a bit dark but nothing too scary and honestly even without a light I can still navigate easily in them. The best is to just give it a try by yourself. Another thing you can try is downloading and using the ENB customizer - also on the Nexus. Will give you the possibility to tweak a bit ENB settings so interiors won't be too dark. For the shadow lines just use this mod Shadow Striping Fix http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9426
  6. Hi! So I've just found this new spell called Phase Shift and it says it teleports the caster to designated destination. How does it work? I've tried so many times but I'm always right at the same spot. There's just a ''Hunnh '' or something like that sound and there is like a force field that appears but I'm never being moved anywhere a iota. Could someone tell me how I should use it or maybe I've misunderstood it? Thanks !
  7. hi, I also starting playing with CBBE until last month when I changed to UNP and I really don't regret it. I'm myself using PRETTY FACE ( I have the 1.6 version not using the last one ) which also has a UNP seam patch and it's very nice imo. No neck seam. And of course Apachii sky hair. You should give it a try. I
  8. You could try to disable to depth of field to see if fix it or not. It might be the problem, it was for me and the following trick helped me : In your Documents -> My Games -> Skyrim, find the skyrim.ini and open with notepad. Then find the line bDoDepthOfField=1 and change this value to 0 bDoDepthOfField=0 Save and exit. This disable the depth of field effect, it doesn't have a big impact on the game and sometimes even improve performance when off. Launch skyrim again and check if you could see underwater or not. If it doesn't help you can easily just turn it on again by editing the ini and changing the value to 1 again. Hope this work for you
  9. I have 94 plugins according to Boss at the moment and for the past 3 months I've played, I had like 2-3 ctd's only ... I'm actually very surprised by Skyrim stability compared to Fallout new vegas. I don't think I am a mod addict 'cause in the past I didn't mod my games that much ( morrowind I had just 4-5 mods I think, oblivion about 20, New Vegas also around 20-30 ) it's just for Skyrim there are so many amazing mods out there, I really want to try them all and once I've tried them usually I just keep them. Thanks to the modding community!
  10. First thanks for your replies. I'm not sure but I don't think it's just Deadly Dragons which causes dragons to do that kill move any time I get close. Anyway IMO Deadly Dragons is a must - I started playing without it but really dragons were just so easy it was not fun at all ( even easier than trolls or spiders ... ). I had some difficult times until lvl 20 but was still able to kill them and since it's got a bit easier but still challenging. Nevertheless it seems I can only take out dragons with my bow 'cause anytime I get closer I will get that killmove. I wear light armour but it's elven and should be pretty good, and also when I try to go close combat with a dragon I would only do it with my health bar full. I will try however to change a bit my tactics and see if trying to attack them from different angles and/or running back as soon as possible will help or not. Otherwise I will just have to keep taking dragons out from distance with my bow. It's no big deal since it's not I can't kill dragons, I'm getting pretty good at taking them out with my bow, it's just for the fun and change sometimes it would nice to get closer and draw my sword.
  11. For the last 2 months I've been playing, I have killed over a dozen dragons but I've only managed once to finish one at close range with a sword. Otherwise I always have to keep my distance and use bows and magic. The thing is every time - and I really mean every time - I try to go closer to a landed dragon, it will do a killmove on me : the one where it grabs me by the head, swings me in the air and throws me away ... So I'm not sure if it's a kinda of bug or a mod I have ( I have deadly dragons ) that does that, but I find it really disappointing since now I'm lvl 34 and have a couple of resistance to frost, fire etc and I really would like to go more closer to the dragons to get epic fight with them when they land, not just the hidding somewhere at distance with my bow. Does this happen to everyone else or is it just me... ? Is there anything you could suggest I could try or maybe change my fighting dragons approach so I could finally end up in close fight with them ? Thanks !
  12. I've been playing TES serie since Daggerfall and I really love the new crafting and enchanting feature in Skyrim, honestly do. That should have appeared earlier in the serie. However I think it's been very badly implemented and is unbalanced. Just browsing through nexus you would find tons of mods addressing smithing and enchanting skills so obviously that's really a problem shared by many. In the forums you see a lot of people talking about these issues as well ( power-leveling for some, chores for others - like spending hours at the forge ... ). What I think is Smithing and Enchanting should not have their own perk trees and should not be considered as skills on their own. It should be integrated into other skills ( 1h / 2h weapons, archery, light armor, heavy armor for smithing, all different school of magic for enchanting ) Let me explain how I see this: It strikes me as being so unrealistic as a mage for example who runs around all the time in robes you would be able to craft heavy armors and 2h warhammers at level 10 if you spend time at the forge. Same applies for pure warrior who could just enchant anything but never really use any magic otherwise. So in order to be better balanced these smithing and enchanting abilities and perks should be broken down and included in different skills. For example if you level up in 1 hand, you would be able to smith better 1 hand weapons but not necessarily 2 hands. Same goes for armor. The better you level up in light armor for example would decide what sort of light armor you could forge ( as steel at level 20, elven at 30, etc ... ) For enchanting the same. If you master Destruction you would be able to enchant objects with destruction spells but not necessarily restoration or illusion. I am not sure if I'm very clear but I would welcome your thoughts and ideas on this. Modding being totally beyond me, if anyone is interested in this, please feel free to use it for a new mod.
  13. Well it's good to see many people sharing the same thought. To some extend I think pickpocket is also a waste. IMO there should be only one perk tree called something like stealth and it should regroup sneaking, pickpocketing and lockpicking perks. I don't know if anyone as done anything like this as a mod, but that would be a great idea.
  14. Are there really any experienced players still wasting skill points in lockpicking perks honestly? I find myself this being totally useless as I don't see the necessity for any of these perks and I do open a lot of doors with lockpicking.
