The 9/10th of the world that deosn't live in America can not have a direct effect on this bill, only indirectly by expressing out dis-satisfaction without opening the gate to being labelled as a t*****ist or pirate. Or can we, I'd like to know. Any suggestions? I don't live in the United States. How can I help?: Contact your local State Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or similar branch of government. Tell them you oppose SOPA and PIPA, and any similar legislation. SOPA and PIPA will affect sites outside of the United States, and actions to sites inside the United States (like Wikipedia) will also affect non-American readers -- like you. Calling your own government will also let them know you don't want them to create their own bad anti-Internet legislation.
  2. Today - most of the Net had a blackout/strike-out because of the SOPA/PIPA laws that are currently being kicked around in Congress. These are laws that are so VAGUE in their structure, if you have so much as an icon with 'copyrighted' material, the site you are on could get shut down. We won't even discuss what will happen to mod sites/fan sites (fanfiction, videos, graphics, etc) should this law come to pass. Though I admire the basic idea behind the bills (protecting copyright owners from having their materials sold/redistributed for profit by the pirates) - it is basically (at its core) censorship - and this from the land of the Free. So in protest, from 8AM EST to 8PM EST - a lot of sites went on strike and whole slews of people stayed off the Net during that time. My wife put her site up as joining the protest and the both of us stayed off the InterWebs from 7AM up until 8:30PM as a way to show solidarity. For those of you who joined the protest and stayed away from the Net for those 12 hours of strikeout...for those who have called their senators and congressman and expressed your displeasure over these bills - congratulations! And kudos to you! Hopefully our leaders will listen - and we're hoping the 12 hour silence across the Webs (and blacked out sites) will show the US government what the Net would be like if these bills passed. For those of you who ignored it - shame on you. And if these bills actually go through, you will have nothing to complain about. Let's hope that doesn't happen, but if it does - remember, you could have added your voice, but neglected to do so. Enjoy your time here while you can. Hope we have this site for many years to come. We'll just have to see on January 24th. For those who feel 'shamed' or feel this was a 'bad idea' - three questions: First of all, did you read the post? Two did the post make you think? I will not get drawn into a discussion on how/why I posted this the way I did. Did you read this post? Did it make you think? Are you now aware of the seriousness of the situation? If not, then keep scrolling. If you are aware how very deeply SOPA/PIPA affects you (as a net user and an individual) then mission accomplished. Nitpicking will not be responded to. That's all semantics anyhow - I am not responsible for your personal feelings. I do feel it is my responsibility to share such information with people who could be hurt by these laws. Which is each and every one of you. Just ask users of MegaUpLoad.

Hmmm okay thats what I was guessing but had to be sure after I read the main reason for the construction sets delayed release was they were trying to make it muti-platform compatable.....But thank you very much....guess I ll start checking in to HEX saves editting since I know where and how to get to the ps3s saves : )

  6. First and formost Thank you for stopping to read this!!!! Again this is my request for a micro missile gun that shoots a minimissile that upon impact does a posion gas cloud burst AOE effect. Things that are done: micro missile mesh uploaded done esp.s for missile and burst done cloud burst graphics done (thanks to wkarrde for permission to use his mod) missile mesh pic http://s136.photobucket.com/albums/q177/PhoenixDragonDreamer/Novastorm13/?action=view&current=sizecomparsion.jpg V2 pics up at download page dds included. Thing not done: gun mesh pic here http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q177/PhoenixDragonDreamer/Novastorm13/newgun.jpg The scope ,shoulder stock and barrel extension to be a dark texture to match gun base and pic (just use stock sniper rifle). Victory rifle or Reservationist rifle are probably closer to the right texture. Esp.s to use the WMK mod to be able to add them to the base Arachnos gun mod's gun. Scripts and Esp.s to make the whole gun and clips craftable with the Craft mod. Micro missile mesh to be made game ready and textured. V2 now comes with the base ms3d. file and a dds file (not sure if its right tho) :unsure: This is so far a personal mod at the moment but if more than a couple people say they want it, or if someone helps and gives permission, I will make it public. If it ever gets finshed. :biggrin: So far still being a noob I seem to have problems creating scripts :wallbash: (aside from just using stock scripts made to fit) and textureing (never been my strong suit ,small meshes have never been a problem thought ) :thumbsup: that is why I'm asking for anyone is willing to help or make this mod for me but in case no one has time or there is no interest Im still planning to try to make it. Okay a few hours of sleep now ready to look at this lets see...Okay Im sorry if I came out hostle just was really frustrated at the time AND I do really need and love that you 'll help so first true question is 1. is there a way to write the script in a notepad text doc and import it to the geck? 2. is there a way to copy and paste or dupacate a stock script while in geck? 3. ummm dont I need to name the script to seperat it from other scripts?(didnt see anything on that part in tutorial) 4. max amount of these - <Item 1> is 1- 4 or can it be more if so how many? 5. why are you not writeing the tuts I have grasped more from yours than most of the others? As for the meshes and all that I know that most of the time I can use stock parts to get by and that was the Very first thing I learne as an exmpale the Pipboy component mod I may have justed load it up today but I have been useing since 3 day I got FO3 about 3 months ago. About reading. I already read several tutorials on many subjects used in modding for many clues on different subjects. And Im always open for more but when working with some thing so picky as FO3 its hard to stay in a good mood when you see most replys and info on diffrent sites saying to google it or read one that may or may not work. I may be new to modding FO3 but not to Modding ingeneral some of my past works where for Star trek armada 1 and 2 and few small mods for my oblivain game and now FO3 . I always try to read and cross use all info that seems to apply. Thats how I came to his tutorial not with the idea of makeing a craft complyant mod but a crafting mod from the stock workbench. When google Fo3 workbench and how to his was the only one to come up.Looked at Geck home page and tryed it the seach the worst than my google results. Read and seach the forums here and still nothing. So what is the cure? First Im sure its not me ranting about it! But a lot more indept tutorials that should focus on noobs and learning not just copy whats here with no clue as to why or what it does.Well Thank you again for all the the help.
  10. Can some one Please make a micro sized stock missile as a new item. Scaled down to about the lenght of a grenade. As of today I will be uploading a object (obj. format) of the micro missile to be imported and textured (can even use stock missile textures) Since I only have had 11 veiws (3 of them being me) I doubt if it will do any good!!!!! So why do it??....Because "Dam the torpedos,its time to run away with the side show,full speed right ahead,dont stop you can sleep when your dead" MDFMK Thanks to DreadWolf this project is complete! Hopefully soon to be DL-able if permission is granted! Thanks, guys!
  11. Just went and check site it contains No fallout info at alll in under the tutorial section so why was I there again???? And maybe Oblivian tutorials might work but again my point comes in to play and that is Im a noob AND dont know which ones would or wouldn't work so stuck again! So I went back to look for the school and saw no statements about it but I did find the blogs page it seems to have a few tutorials but again for the parts I dont need! First I dont need to build a mesh or model I tend to use the stock ones to start learning. And I already can go in and change stats on any stock objects I need to and aready have hence how I had most of the parts need for the tutorial. What I am missing is I assume the scripting list for what components are need for the building of the weapon and the scripts that take them from the PC and turns them into the gun. So does anybody have that tutorial???Or even one on changeing the list scripting for the building of a dartgun?? PS. And the chicken pot pie recipe is of no help either since I already can cook that as well - might I even recommend 3/4 cup of chicken broth instead of apple juice (the apple juice makes it too sweet)
  12. Okay a littile frustated here just went and read this link http://forums.bethsoft.com/?showtopic=961763 And only have 1 question to ask! How do make or get the peices I need to make this tutorial be usefull! Okay lets say or "assume" that I am new to modding . First this line would stop any noob dead in there tracks! "This tutorial assumes you already have the schematic notes, weapons, and script prepared." ..........?? Umm your kidding right? No I dont have the scripts or notes! How can I? I had "assumed" this tutoral would teach me how to make ALL that is needed!! Thats why Noobs would read it right? okay so I try to still use it to make what Im supposed to have, mainly to learn the files needed to make the notes,scripts,etc. Alas it was still of no help!! Before the tutoral I was able to guess and wing my way thru makeing small mods useing stock items to fill in what I didnt have (notes,weapons,etc.) So I tryed to carry on anyway. Was doing good all the way till I tryed to find the file that has the object list needed to build the weapon...Faceplant!! now I have done some minor scripting as in makeing a healing charm just like the lucky8ball witch I used stock meshes and textures but wrote a new script to heal and reduce rads over time but nothing to even get a clue what to look for to build the constuction or componet script! And again I look for clues in the tutorial to help...right nothing so now what? If someone has time AND a need to truly teach will they PLEASE for the love of god write a tutorial on how to make the parts needed for this tutorial to work. Please dont misunderstand me it was very nice of the author to make the mod (that I still use) and the tutorial. And he should get kudos for that! But " assumeing" that anything but noobs are going to read it should have part of those kudos takin back. As for me well...Im stuck with all the parts but the needed items list for parts to use and the script to put them to together. Now that makes me wonder how other many noobs that were going to start modding quit do to not enuff info in all the tutorials we read not just this one. Heres a good question who but a noob truly needs a tutorial?? Most seasoned modders have already got the know how to do most things and dont need a tutorial. so why write one for anything but noobs who are starting from scatch? Enuff to make you lose your mind right?Well back to the drawing board to try to make My create xclip mod. PS. Yes I did a google search on the subject no tutorials on how create or change the workbench schematics and etc. I also did look at and thru the Craft energy ammo mod since it does this same thing but it was no help.
  13. Still new to all the GECK stuff but have you tryed copying the missile files (AmmoMissile,MissileImpact,etc) and just replace the nif in the pojectile to your arrow nif? This should give it all the properties of a missile right?
  14. How absolutely wonderful - there is a cat mod coming! YAY! Quick question off/on subject: I have made my own gas missiles using the Arachnos gun and I am wondering if there is a way to scale the missiles down in G.E.C.K. through commands, as I have not unpacked the model from the bsa. and have just duplicated the stock mesh with a new explosion effect. As for the M.M.M. I mis-said what caused the crash. It was the iguanas *pauses for laughter* . I picked up a frozen one and put it in my inventory and that was fine. Tried to place it on a table in my house and it didn't work, kept hitting the floor. When I put it in my fridge is when the game crashed. Probably my stupidty to put it in the fridge, so I'll have to retry the mod later (what, I though it was dead?!) Thanks, will keep posting new ideas as they come!
  15. Thank you so much for all the suggestions. Tried several of the mods, but they're not for me. Tried Mart's Mutant Mod and it crashed my system on the live geckos, to the point I had to uninstall everything, including the mod manager itself. About the robotic pets (still on topic) what does Bethesda have against cats???? I mean - none of their games have CATS - why is this? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?! *Laughs* Thanks again...see ya later, guys!
