Anyone ever considered making the classic weapons from Duke Nukem 3D and DNF? Seems those weapons would fit in well within the realm of Fallout. Even his clothing would be cool to see.

So, apparently, even though my game did update a few days ago, it's still saying that I'm on Version 1.10.82, but the new F4SE is for 1.10.114. I've tried everything to get my game to update, but it wont. I even tried clearing download cache, verifying game files, and restarting... but refuses to update. I may be a bit dumb when it comes to stuff like this, so if anyone can help, that would be great!

I got the latest F4SE, 0.6.1, but launching the game results in a black screen for a bit, and CTDs without any errors...- 717 replies

So, I've been building on my Sanctuary Settlement for quite some time now, and everything was doing ok for the most part... Just have alot of highly detailed weapons and armor on display in a custom armory I made, so framerate drops considerably, so other than that, my game is pretty stable. But I do have this issue of old objects mysteriously reappearing, and I'm unable to select said objects to scrap them. The first location is where the old house to the right that sits behind the "Welcome to Sanctuary" sign. I've removed the house, foundation, clutter, dead leaves, lights, and concrete steps (thanks to a mod that allows me to clean the place up better.) The second place with issues is roughly where the second house sits to the left. Well, for the longest time, all was well. I've since added my own stuff in those places. All was well until about 3 weeks ago, when a couple wall mounted lights, a poster, some the clutter, a ceiling fan, and a shower reappeared. It's like they load up as a LOD object or something. If I walk up to these objects, the world flickers and "turns off" as if the old building was still there, and it's telling the game to snap the world off as "unseen" or something. Also, when I go into Settlement Mode, and try placing anything big in these areas, the low detail LOD objects of the houses will appear until I move away from it. It's quite annoying, because it breaks the settlement build I want. Anyone know what's going on?

Man, it's like pulling teeth to get a some help in these parts...

So, my game is heavily modded, and for the most part, looks very good, but I have this issue with Water Mods. It doesn't matter which water mod I try to install, the water always looks bright blue. Even uninstalling any water mod, doesn't revert it back to the original. I had the Wasteland Water Revival mod for the longest time, and it worked great, then one day, blue... lol Any idea what I could do to fix this issue? No other mods I have in my load order messes with water.

Power Armor Jetpack Animation Not Working.
Markley454 replied to Markley454's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
ok, cool, thanks -
Anyone have any idea why The Jetpack animation for Jetpack equipped Power Armor wont work? If I use the Jetpack, it just uses the Jumping Animation. I wont even get fire and smoke effects when it's used. I do have quite a number of mods, but none of them conflicts with animations, and I don't have other Jetpack mods.

Newly developed Lag Spikes with 980Ti
Markley454 replied to Markley454's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I have made a few changes. uGridsToLoad=5 Found that "iNumThreads=4" was missing from the .ini files, so I added that line right above "iNumHWThreads=4." Also, I found where I can overclock my Ram through the Bios. Noticed that they weren't doing as advertised, and that I needed to apply an XMP Profile, and changed a few things to get it up to where they were advertised. After doing this, the game runs a hell of a lot smoother, but still has it's momments wherethe game pauses while it tries to load up more of the world as I'm exploring. It is a lot more playable at least. I'll change the ENBoost Ram Size to 12288, and see if there's more improvement. Thanks guys. -
Newly developed Lag Spikes with 980Ti
Markley454 replied to Markley454's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
OK, so what's recommended for VideoMemorySizeMB and uGridsToLoad? -
As the title explains, I've recently come across a bad issue where my game will run between 50 and 60fps, but every few seconds, I'm getting really bad lag lasting anywhere between a second to half a minute. Everytime it does so, my MSI GeForce GTX 980Ti 6G sounds like it stops. In MSI Afterburner, I can see that every time it lags, the graphs reflect it with drops in Core Clock and Power. The GPU never goes above 71 Degrees Celsius, so I don't believe it's throttling. I do have alot of mods, alot of them being texture mods, but I go with the 2K Performance Texture Mods, because I understand that 4K is overkill, however, I don't believe my mods have anything to do with it, because I get the same exact issues with all my mods removed on a new save. I do have an ENB, but my performance is exactly the same with or without it on. I play 1080p @ a capped 60fps, Fullscreen/Borderless. Details were set to Ultra, and then had my Shadow Detail set to High, Shadow Distance set to Medium, and Godrays set to Low. Adjustments made in Fallout4Prefs.ini are as followed; iPresentInterval is set to "0" iTexMipMapSkip is set to "-1" uGridsToLoad set to "7" uExterior Cell Buffer set to "64" My enblocal.ini changes are as followed; [MEMORY] ForceVideoMemorySize=true VideoMemorySizeMb=32768 like I said, with these adjustments, I'm getting a steady 60fps in the "country," and in the city, I'm running roughly mid 50fps with drops to mid 40s every so often when I'm not getting my really bad frame "hitches" or Lag Spikes, or whatever you want to call it. Here's my PC specs. OS= Windows 10 Home 64-bit CPU= Intel Core i5 4670 @ 3.40GHz Motherboard= ASRock Z97 Killer (Updated BIOS) RAM= 32.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (11-11-11-28) GPU= MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6G

Reinstalling Wheels of Lull kills my player at startup.
Markley454 replied to Markley454's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Ahh, I just used a different Save Cleaner, one which does just that... I loaded up my game, and no death! Awesome! Was just getting ready to make the journey to Dawnstar, but I randomly CTDed... lol Skyrim... anyway, thanks trainwiz! -
Reinstalling Wheels of Lull kills my player at startup.
Markley454 replied to Markley454's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Yeah, I tried to clean my save, and though it did help with stability, my character still dies as soon as I load my cleaned save file with the WoL Mod installed. I'd be more than happy to activate this light if my character would stay alive. -
So yeah, I've tried researching this issue time and time again, but I apparently seem to be the only one this happens to, and when I've asked before, everyone just replies with, "Reload older save" and/or "Start a fresh game." Obviously, those might work, but I really don't want to abandon my current save game, because of the amount of hours of gameplay I have put into it, so one final time, I wish to figure this issue out. ISSUE A few months ago, I downloaded The Wheels of Lull, because it looked awesome. Well, when I downloaded and installed it, I was in Dawnstar. I load up my save game, and before even giving the first robot dude a chance to meet me, I entered the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. The moment I was loaded inside the sanctuary, the robot dude is right there talking to me, and goes on as he should, and apparently after he tells you he'd guide you to a special location, he's supposed to kill himself, and you're to take his head or something... Well that never happened... He just stands there watching me... staring... that slow moving jaw... haunting me... mocking me... God, make it stop... oh, I can just go outside... nothing happens... no triggered events, no robot dude following me... just like the mod never happened... lol OK, so apparently something went wrong... I'll just exit the game, remove the mod, create a new quick save with my character, reinstall the mod, and see if that fixes it... nope... The moment my save loads, my character just... dies... he's perfectly healthy the moment he's loaded into the world, then he just throws down his weapon, gives up on life, and dies, only to reload into instant death... continuous experience of death, without the satisfaction of resting in peace... my eternal curse... So, I exit the game, remove the mod, reload the game... My curse has been lifted, and I can go about my adventurous ways... I experimented with everything. Thought maybe another mod was conflicting with it? Nope... It's all to do with my character apparently triggering some scripted event that leads to instant unjustifiable death. I gave up on the mod, and kept it uninstalled... I play my character, adding another 100+ hours to the gameplay. I figured for as long as I've played that character, maybe the bugged scripted shenanigans (or whatever it is) expired or was simply discarded, and try to give the mod another try... Nope... instant death, reload, death, reload, etc. into Oblivion... or until I exit the game, and remove the mod once again. So... yeah... that's my issue. Anyone have a clue what's going on, and if so, any way to fix it?
-
yeah, it was a mod conflict... I had an animation mod installed wrong.

First off, I'm using the Follower mod known as U.F.O. Not sure if this will be helpful, but figured I'd need to point that out. Anyway, I'm having problems with my followers being stuck in a "weapons drawn/fighting stance" most of the time that they are with me, but their weapons are still by their side. ( Not in their hands.) When they're in this position, they can't inflict damage to the enemy... I mean, they engage, but they just get in the enemies face without swinging, unless they switch to their bows or other weapon. Is this an easy fix?

Textures suddenly go hay-wire!
Markley454 replied to Markley454's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
92 EDIT! I'm an idiot... I just removed a few mods I didnt really want, and that fixed everything... LOL -
I've been playing my New Vegas game for awhile, and despite all the mods I have, everything was great. A few minor bugs here and there, but nothing I couldn't deal with. Well, I haven't added anything in a few days, and the game was looking good... Suddenly, lastnight I notice a truck trailer was mapped with the wrong texture, a few tents where straight up black, and a few NPCs had giant 4 error signs in place where I'd say eyes are supposed to be, considering those NPC's eyes were gone. Today, I got to play the game, and literally everything was wrong... I was seeing mouth and teeth textures on roads, alot of my weapon mods were textured wrong, a gun's scope view had an error sign, curtain armors just weren't showing up... it's turned into a nightmare, with no explanation... Anyone have any ideas?

Night Vision Scope problem.
Markley454 replied to Markley454's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
Yes, I understand that. I have the Enhanced Shaders ENB that's made for Nevada Skies and Night Vision, but it's apparent that it's only meant for the visor modes. -
Now I may be wrong, but I seem to remember the night vision scopes found on curtain guns to be very effective, but recently I have noticed (after interior overhaul, Project Nevada, Nevada Skies, and ENB) the scopes are pretty much useless now. They work like a regular scope, except for the fact that there's a green tent now. Dark is still dark. Has it always been like this, and I'm just losing my mind, or is there a fix for this?

Well, is it not the whole point here - the irony? It looks like a toy, therefore nobody has ever suspected it was anything but a useless toy gun, not realizing it was actually a deadly weapon. Had it looked like "a hand-held targeting device for an orbiting death ray cannon", it would have never ended up in the hands of a child, at least not for very long. Yeah, I do get the idea behind that... Maybe there could be some sort of quest dealing with the C-finder. Maybe talk to someone within the BOS about the gun. He/she could look into the gun, and figure out how it works, and how to improve it. He/she sends the courier on a wild dangerous goose chase through the Mojave, hitting up old-world locations dealing with electronics and laser technology to retrieve special components. After all the parts have been gathered, you can go to any work bench with a set Repair Skill Level where you can build a new and improved C-Finder. 1 Euclid's C-Finder 1 Scrap Electronics 1 Scrap Metal 1 Detonator (Insert quest parts here) Conclusion? You receive the new improved "A2 C-Finder II." Works just like the "toy," but it's obviously going to look more "Serious." It's override system allows for it to be used twice a day, and because of the new carbon fiber casing, it's weight is cut down by half.

Could a B-29 be used like an AC-130
Markley454 replied to sgtKraigO's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
Unless the NCR decides to make a minigun that fires .308 rounds they might get away with using gatling lasers and tesla cannons. You wouldn't happen to know the effective range of a laser would you? Shrapnel / Ahztek's Weapon Overhaul has a M134 Minigun that shoots .308 rounds in the game. Not a very accurate gun, obviously, but it's range seems to be pretty realistic. (I'm actually quite curious as to why this weapons mod seems so hard to find... It's an excellent mod.) -
I actually love the concept of the C-Finder in New Vegas, but something that has always bothered me was the look of it. Should a handheld targeting device for an orbiting death ray cannon look like a 1950's toy? I mean, it doesn't even look like it has any relation at all with Helios One or the military. I'm sure there's a way to make it look right, and still integrate the green screen animations. Has anyone considered doing such a task, or is it not possible?
