SKYRIM PERFORMANCE BOOSTER - about this
AfroSama replied to stanleemojo's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
"The description reads like a sales pitch. It talks about a massive performance improvement but all the actual file says is "disable grass". The rest is just a list of mods. Why disable comments? Probably because everyone would criticize it for being worthless. Everything about this is really sketchy." Exactly what I was going to say. " if you don't use the particular grass mod he lists, then the files he says to delete won't even BE in your skyrim directory." Exactly what I was going to say as well. This is a very odd "mod" if you can call it that. Although I wish Nexus would take this down, I don't think there's quite enough for grounds to do so. -
Steam sale and downloading issues prompts CDN expansion

Looking back on it all... I know shouldn't be surprised at the number of people complaining, but I was. I'd somewhat be able to understand "new users" complaining, but I did not expect veterans and frequent users to be complaining. Patience is key and naivety needs to stop for me. (That was a bad rhyme...ha) -
One Tweak http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40706 Also has a fix for the double cursor, as well as two other nifty features: 1. Borderless Window (essentially the same thing as Fake Fullscreen as mentioned above) 2. Dynamic process priority (personally I don't know what this is haha, but I think it has to do with the game's process priority in task manager)

I suggest to use Mod Organiser (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334). A feature from it's description page: "What mod isolation means is that each mod is installed into its own directory outside the actual data directory. Through some magic MO then shows the game (and any other 3rd party tool that works on the data directory) a "virtual" data directory that is a merger of the actual data directory and all the mod directories. This way no file ever get overwritten when you install a mod and your data directory can remain in a vanilla state." With a feature like this there's no need to back up really any of Skyrim's files. I do suggest though to still back up your saves, that is if you want to be really cautious. There are tutorial videos too, if it seems too daunting for you. Last version of Nexus Mod Manager I checked did not have this feature like Mod Organiser. I don't know if the latest 0.50.3 NMM does however.

I believe there are pure black eyes in the vanilla game. They should be accessible in character creation. In the creation kit they are labeled as "EyesHumanDemon".

Well I'd turn off papyrus logging if I were you. I've heard that having it on actually does more harm than good, at least for extended play. Are you using Memory Blocks Log (mod) along with SKSE 1.7? You can use it to see if you're going over the memory blocks and if you are you can just increase it in the SKSE.ini. Have a gander at Skyrim Stability Guide (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50244) too, maybe it'll help. You might have too many scripted / big mods for your system too. Though with Monster Wars, I did have CTDs frequently, but my laptop is a toaster so that's probably why. Once I got rid of the mod I didn't have anywhere near as many crashes, infinite loading screens, and / or freezes.

OneTweak (www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40706/) provides the ability to Alt Tab without issues. It has also borderless window, it does require skse though. Use OneTweak instead, just in case messing with ENB boost seems too daunting for you. As far as your main issue I don't know. Maybe you did not install skse correctly?

What's best for me, NexusMM or the Steam Workshop?
AfroSama replied to LukaLean's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
If you are going to start over, I'd suggest using Mod Organiser (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334) rather than Nexus Mod Manager. -
Yeah I had a feeling the recommended fixes from MO were nothing to take of note.

Off Topic: Just throwing it out there for you, ETaC has updated and doesn't require a huge number of esp's and patches anymore. That'll help trim down your load order. I doubt it'll your specific issue though.

Load Order for MMOxReview's Ultra Modded Skyrim
AfroSama replied to Comedygameplayer's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
"DYNAVISION Dynamic Depth of Field.esp (Not included in MXR's U.M.S.) - Recommended for high ended PCs" Recommended for high ended PCs? Why? As far as I can tell Dynavisioin isn't performance heavy at all.- 5 replies

Ok I'll see if I can help out. 1. Specifically with what you have highlighted in red, it says to move "Marriage Mod To Have and to Hold" after "Non Essential Children - Hearthfire". Keyword being Hearthfire. Your load order on the right shows that you moved it only after "Non Essential Children". Find the Non Essential Children Hearthfire and move the marriage mod accordingly. 2. "the changes mod organizer are telling me to make are already done" . After you make the changes it tells you, click on the refresh button at the top. Or exit Mod Organiser and bring it back up again. Either way I think reseting will do the trick here.

Anyone else having double posts? I have to post via the forums, else I'd be double posting again. Additionally, is anyone else having issues with the notification system? I'll click on it and one of the two things will happen: 1. Notification window is completely white, nothing else comes up, and notifications are set back to zero. 2. Notification window comes up correctly then resets / refreshes after a few of seconds. The window then gives me the "No new notifications, recent files from friends", and so on. It could be Google Chrome or my internet messing up though, I don't know.

"Monster Mod" or "Skyrim Immersive Creatures" has female giants if I'm not mistaken.

Haha funny predicament here. Well I'm sorry man, but if I had to choose which is best it would be your friends' characters rather than yours. But hey I'm an old fashioned kind of player. I have people and characters look as lore friendly as possible, you know? I use a non nude texture replacer and vanilla body mesh with no apachi hair, or skimpy armours. Haha maybe your friends are just old fashioned too?

As a previous poster said, yeah try Inigo despite what you may have heard about conflicts (I never had any and I used EFF). Additionally Interesting NPC's has a lot of custom voiced followers. And last but not least here you go: A male custom voiced High Elf follower. www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39453

Day 1 patches, fixes, cure for the slowness and NMM temporarily down
AfroSama replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Sshhhhh don't say anything "moddownloader12" we cant let them know about that haha. Jokes aside, correct me if I'm wrong. Some people are able to log in normally on the nexusmod site? Whereas others, including myself, are not able to? -
