  1. You opened the can of worms by explaining your stance against the Empire with legitimate observations but making no argument against the Stormcloaks besides dime-a-dozen "hurr durr racist" ignorance. When you make unnecessary and unfounded insults against something people are passionate about, they tend to be a bit offended. And yes, it's relevant because you listed that as your reason for making this request in the first place. If you were willing to educate yourself about what the factions represent and what their goals are instead of clinging to misinformation and propaganda, it may impact what your goals for modding the game are, or eliminate your want for this particular mod altogether. Unfortunately, the minds of the indoctrinated are rarely open to change, and other people would probably find a mod like this useful as well. I can't help you there. Best of luck.
  2. The line is "Skyrim belongs to the Nords," not "Skyrim is for the Nords" - wimperials love to make this subtle change that drastically alters the semantics. It's not an ethnocentric demand, but a battle cry for independence just like their other one, "Death to the empire." They want to rule themselves and be free of the corrupt bureaucracy the empire has become, not kick everyone out who doesn't look like them. Windhelm has plenty of Altmer and Imperials living perfectly normal lives because they were willing to work hard and integrate themselves into society, unlike the Dunmer refugees who sit on their hands after 200 years of Nordic hospitality. Don't accuse Stormcloaks of having a racist agenda just because of your social justice tunnel vision and subconscious desire to link a video game population that happens to be white to real-life Germanic races. You would think after nearly three years the people playing this game would have some common sense or know a bit about the lore.
  3. You clearly haven't read any of the lore, talked to any NPCs, or investigated the sociology of Windhelm. The Stormcloaks are not racist at all and neither Ulfric nor his generals show any signs of this dogmatic "Nord supremacy" wimperials love to blather on about. In addition, comparing the attitudes of fake characters in a fake universe to one of the worst monstrosities of humankind completely trivializes the horrible experiences the victims of the Third Reich actually went through. Become the High King of Skyrim doesn't have a civil war questline of its own per se, but it would allow you to get a group of followers to act as your army and sweep across the countryside to wipe out town guards. You might be able to replace them with your own, but I haven't used that mod in a long time and am not sure what features like that it offers. As niceguy mentioned, there's also the temporary ceasefire you can arrange during Season Unending, but it's implied that it will only last until the dragon crisis is over, meaning conflict continues once Alduin is defeated.
  4. Here's the reason why there are so many requests for this but no one has done it yet. http://i.imgur.com/1pR2wLf.png?1 For whatever reason, the developers left the part of the armor underneath the cape unfinished, so removing the cape results in a large empty space around the shoulders. Fixing this would mean editing the mesh itself in a 3d modeling program, which is quite a bit more work than just a simple retexture. Still, there are quite a few modders out there who edit meshes for preexisting items and create brand new ones, so I'm not sure why this has gone undone.
  5. Every single mod that has to do with GoT - including the conversion mentioned above - just adds Ice, without any thought to the longsword Ned carries normally. The only thing I've found that comes close to that is a mod on the workshop labelled as Ice, but it isn't very accurate to the source in terms of coloring, taper, and ricasso.
  6. Various types of grenades are featured in Throwing Weapons - Death From Afar. I haven't used this mod for a while, but the last version I downloaded had grenades that exploded, some that lay down a patch of fire, and some that spill oil pool traps. Search under the same name for multiple releases and versions of this mod that are simpler and don't require SKSE if that's to your liking. Rifles require Dawnguard because they use the same animations as crossbows. Most modders create with maximum potential in mind rather than catering to the very low percentage of players that don't have the earliest addons for a three year old game. If you want guns no matter what, there are a handful of pistol mods with the same animation as staves.
  7. The spatha was a one handed sword, so I'm assuming you just meant a two hander in the style of the Imperial sword. In that case, Lost Longswords has one of those.
  8. Have you checked out Solitude Docks District?
  9. If someone could make a model with the pommel as seen in the second picture as well as in this one, that would be great. I'm a huge fan of this movie and this sword would be pretty awesome to have in-game.
  10. The only ones I know of are this, which replaces Imperial armor with LOTR-style plate, and this, which expands on existing armor with a few texture and mesh edits. There don't seem to be as many overhauls for Imperial armor since it has a unique style, unlike Stormcloak armor.
  11. Will the crossbow be a replacer for the original bow and usable in the Dawnguard quests, or is it a completely different standalone weapon?
