  1. I notice a lot of people citing CBBE's breast size as being, uh, insane. Which it does allow for, but it also allows for much smaller. It's only as "little boy's fever dream" as the user wants it to be. That said, both have armors I really like which drives me crazy.
  2. The only safe bet is porting all mods over. But there are some things you really, absolutely must do if you don't want to do that. You'll have to follow the uninstall instructions for any mod you don't before moving the save. You also still run the risk of major save file bloat and other problems associated with removing mods mid-play. Also, when you first boot up at the new location I'd open the console and run ClearInvalidRegistrations 1 for good measure, it'll combat the bloat problem by cleaning up OnUpdate checks left behind by mods that you've abandoned.
  3. This script for TES5Edit automates the merging process, and most things that don't use scripts can be merged. I've used it to combine standalone armors before, though I haven't tried using it for things that use scripts like Convenient Horses or RND or things like that.
  4. A registry corruption is so much bigger than the usual suspects for what could be causing CTD that I've seriously got nothing. System backups/restore points are usually good bets, though, and I can't imagine one not being helpful in that event.
  5. Was just reminded of why Steam Workshop fails hard as a modding community - they forgot the 'community' part.
  6. Sorry, can't hang out. I'm needed in Tamriel
  7. Just my two copper, as it were: if you go the Nordic Coins route, remember that very few NPCs should take them. Merchants would be wary of them because the coins have no value unless the Stormcloaks win, and even then they would need some sort of national wealth that could back up the value of their currency. The Imperial Septim will have value no matter who wins the civil war, and it is the dominant continental currency, so only the most stalwart supporters of Ulfric would reject that in favor of the Nordic coin (the Nordic Stormcoin perhaps? :D) and almost anyone who is neutral or in favor of Elisif's claim to the throne would basically dismiss the Nordic currency. Usually, in a war of succession, the revolting side's currency is treated with great skepticism at first. This is mitigated somewhat by the fact that the coins are made of precious metals, but not entirely. So a lot of people would see the Nordic currency as a joke. Interestingly, the Altmeri Dominion should probably have a currency of their own too, though I imagine it wouldn't be commonly found in Skyrim. And theirs would have some value considering they're an established government. Something to think about - maybe the Thalmor carry some currency other than Septims? Maybe instead of using gold, the proud Nords use dragon scale coins? I mean, the Dragonborn does kind of flood the market with those things. That's my little rant about currency. It's probably utterly useless to you.
  8. If you go the new voice route, which I personally think would be way, way cooler, you could tailor lines specifically to Skyrim!
  9. In re permissions: yeah, once I decide for sure whose resources I want I'll contact the modders who developed them. The multiple instances seems to be the best approach, thank you, I'll test it shortly to see if I'm not completely inept and go from there.
  10. So, just to clarify; if I wanted to use, for instance, Grace Darkling's Attire Pack or something similar alongside Adabala Building System, I could pack both their meshes, textures and ESPs together into a BSA with the name of my ESP and when I loaded my ESP in the CK the BSA would load as well? (A rudimentary understanding I've gathered from that tutorial and some reading I did on BSAs.)
  11. I hadn't even considered that. I'm not too familiar with CK yet, still working through the wiki on it, but would that work? Taking things like architecture and equipment mod resources from ESPs and sticking them together into a BSA? Even if it is just the texture packs, that would reduce some of the load on me elsewhere... but does that work? Total newb.
  12. So, I'm working on my first mod right now which has a lot of promise. I have some voice actors lined up and have a plan that could be a multi-chapter series involving a new faction I'm doing lore research to establish. Here's the problem. I am no artist. I wanted to use some of the meshes, designs and such available in the modder resources here on Nexus to give my story a suitable feel, but that runs the age-old ESP/ESM problem. I noticed some of the questline mods I have downloaded package themselves as ESMs, but I also realize that there must be some major problem with that, or more modders would resolve the issues how I was considering. What I planned to do was use TESsnip to combine the materials I want to draw from into a ESM and once my first segment of the story is complete I would fold that into the ESM as well. I know ESMifing using programs that do that is probably cleaner, but it seems like a remarkably complicated process to do when I'm already new to CK. I have the edited ini that lets me run CK with multiple ESMs, so I shouldn't run into a problem with that, but I guess what I'm looking for is that I have an instinct that my plan is a bad one, I just don't know why and if there's a simpler work-around than ESMifing.
  13. I'm having the same problem as well. I got to the foundation in Lakeview's main hall and since then nothing would build, so I relaoded my most recent save and it gave me the Small House to build again. Despite, you know, the small house and foundation for the Hall being there. Now nothing builds, and I've poure my resources into the small house three times. Going to test if this problem occurs at all homes.
