  1. Well a more sinister technology worshiping cult might be right at home in NV. Maybe we could start there?
  2. Fair enough. Heres the main mod I use. the creator has most of his assets rolled into it. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35912/?
  3. I understand the time restraints. As for assets there are a couple armor & weapon mods out there need cleaning up. That might be a place to start.
  4. WEll welcome back. The real question we need to ask is how much do we want to make a warhammer 40k themed overhaul. I know I can do dialog and some minor G.E.C.K. stuff.
  5. I RETURN! My exile is over and I'm back to offer what help I can on this project.
  6. Heriteks. Thats what they call illegal or outcast techpriests. IE the dudes who make servo skulls. Slap some crude bionics on the fiends and throw a few servo skulls and a servitor or two and boom Heritek cult.
  7. It occurs to me I should point out ED-E is roughly equivalent to one of the better general use models of servo skull ie the expensive kind. The sort used by inquisitors and explorators as they make good scouts, watch dogs ect. Within limits of course. A camera, audio recorder & basic multi tool with the ability to shoot would be assassins is a handy thing.
  8. Funny enough they are limited to beeps and chirps. They can however play back audio recordings. Their intelligence is deliberately limited in most cases. Case in point: https://youtu.be/8ygY7_h_Epg?list=PL3FD71F0ACAF3A4F7&t=62 The skull in question is a simple messenger unit thus very dumb. it cant tell if your alive or dead. Just weather you are authorized for it's message.
  9. Arrg. Multi qoute is being a pain. This is a standalone replacer for ED-E.
  10. Good to know. I need to get a hold of the guy who made the conversion mod I'm running though.
  11. Heads up. AS I suspected ED-E in the Divide is still an eyebot. Also In a few months I will hopefully have the free time to learn the G.E.C.K. There is a Warhammer full conversion I feel needs to be finished....
  12. I reduced ED-E to .5 of his base scale. Roughly 50% size I think. As for things that could be converted the first thing that comes to mind are the robots. No one uses robots excluding the Tau who haven't seen how dangerous AIs really are in the setting. Human based factions use what are called Servitors. Semi aware human cyborgs that fill the same role as the Protectron and other Fallout robots. Most are made of vat grown parts and purpose built cybernetics. Some being more mechanical than others. And as with many things the image below is sort of the tip of the iceberg. http://www.mywargame.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/mwg_servitor_08.gif
  13. Cool. ED-E just needs a slight size reduction with console commands but otherwise its working well. As for 40k lore I've been at it for 18ish years. Simply ask me a question.
  14. So. Any progress? Also anyone want to learn more about Warhammer 40,000?
  15. Cool. I think the Rust Devil thing is a great idea. As much as I want to see more robots reskinned to a more 40K feel I think adding some Rust Devils would help spice up the raider variety.
  16. Hows the servo skull coming along? Sorry about the double post by the way.
  17. A bright beam sounds neat. Only concern I'd have is length.
  18. FUN FACT: The skull used to make a servo skull is often from a respected member of the community who passes away. It symbolically lets them continue supporting their community long after death. A laser sight from a pistol with only the beam aperture visible or the rear optic from a gauss rifle.
  19. Sir, you've blown my mind. Just bleach the skull a bit and etch some roman numerals on the side with optional big red optic in one eye socket and it'll look like something out of official artwork.
  20. Thank you. I just threw an example out there. Servo skulls are a varied as the people they're made from so no worries.
  21. It was pointed out to me I should explain what a servo skull is. A servo skull is a little helper bot built form the skull of a human or sometimes canine, typically with the lower jaw absent and small hover motor in the bottom rear. Its tools and weapons very from skull to skull but in this case would likely be a small laser, sensor & manipulator. A example: http://wh40000.ucoz.net/novosti/370773816.jpg
  22. So I'm doing a Warhammer 40,000 themed play through and want ED-E to come along for the fun. Problem is he doesn't really fit in with my mighty band of Imperial Fists. Mainly because the total conversion mod made him a Tau Drone. Can anyone help?
