I see a lot of people always saying whats the best mods, or what textures should they use. etc. I thought I'd make this video to showcase this mod called; Texture Combiner; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20801/? Which seriously deserves to be much, much more popular. I think it's not so popular because it's in the Utilities catagory, along with the name. People might get intimidated thinking oh it must be some advanced modding tool. Except all you have to do, is downlaod all the textures you want, click that tool and it brings them all together. Yeah I disabled all plug ins even the DLC and it still happened, even when I ran tesedit is finished with no problems, don't know what the f*** happened, just deleted everything and gonna re install. I didn't read the whole log thing though as I deleted this before I could read your post, and I did get hearthfire to see if that would help but I don't know. obviously one of them mods are screwed up.

So I've been playing for about 3 hours with the same mods, and it suddenly crashed, and now crashing few seconds into loading the game, I've ran boss, cleaned everything with tededit, made a bashed patch, this was all before I started playing. I've just finished the quest where you meet the greybeards and heading to that other place to get that item, but now it's crashing. I've been playing a lot with the Skyrim.ini and Prefs latley, and I found something strange. For my tests I am using a fresh install of Skyrim, maxed out settings and my fps is at permantaly 60 (Adaptive vsync thx nvidia). Ofc with it off it soars over 100 but whatever. I downloaded 1 mod and 1 mod only, Dat Grass. Which is the biggest fps hitter ever. Standing outside Whiterun in the massive open fields, I barely get 32 fps. Now, in the Skyrim.Prefs under the section [Grass], you will see this; [Grass] b30GrassVS=1 fGrassStartFadeDistance=7000 fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0000 fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000 Now, on the 2 lines that are set at 7000, set them to 22000. Yes, twenty two thousand instead, you would think with this fps killing mod, expendaing by 5 times the amount I'd get 15 fps. Nope, once I loaded, standing in the exact same place, I lost 1 fps. 1. 1 ! And the game looks fantastic, along with distant terrain and an actual grass mod that ain't an fps killer like Flora, I don't get how but I only lost 1 fps. So you guys try it and see if I'm not the only one. My specs btw; i5 3570k 4GB Kingston HyperX RAM EVGA GTX 660

Guys where has this mod gone? I checked Everywhere, I'm pretty sure it was called Fantasy Music Overhaul, Because I got this Windows 8.1 I done a fresh instal on everything again so of course back to downloading mods again, and I can't find this?

Lmao what a stupid poll. Why they didn't make it last longer so more people could actually vote. I mean really Halo gets knocked out 1st round? Complete luck of time+votes. Halo is easily one of the best game series of the Decade, a decade is 10 years, so 2003-2013. Lets see, Halo 2 (Rated best game of year), Halo 3 (loads of awards), and although Halo Reach and Halo 4 online felt different, the story, the journey, couldn't of been better. And it gets beat by Final Fantasy lmao. Sure final fantasy X was great but since then no. Also why was GTA in it, the only good one past decade has been San Andreas as IV was horrible, and V only just come out. Then there's Guild Wars losing to Portal I mean oh my god, worst poll I've ever seen in my life.

Hey all, it is time for me to have an upgrade :smile: I figured I'll post here because I'm sure most have capable computers, than can run High Textures and ENB no problem. And Skyrim is my main game I can never get bored of it, so I beileve here I will get the best advice. Now all my time PC gaming I've always have underdog PC as I simply had other things to buy, take care of, or I just sucked at saving, but not anymore. Too long have I put up with messing with settings and having to put some things on low! Too long have I set my windows scheme to windows 98 and run game booster to try squize extra rescoures! to long have I put up with lagg and stutters and always having to worry about s***, well not no more. Today is day I order and build a PC. Now what do I have currently? I remember when I first got this 3 years ago, even then it was an extreme budget but I made the most out of it. I run this game at about 35 fps average outside, 40-50 indoors, and 24ish whiterun at high settings, AA off shadows low, and using performence Real Vision ENB at 1920x1080. But now I just want something where I don't have to worry, get HD textures and run fluidly. So what do you reccomend for CPU, RAM and GPU? The case and alll that stuff I can figure out. I'm thinking the i5 3570k because this seems to be a beast, and a GTX 660Ti Power Edition. then just 8 GB RAM Vengeance. Would this give me everything I want? I just found Asus GTX 670 4GB for same price as the MSI 660ti Power Edition Frozr, what would be better?

Is there a mod to make my male character look more younger/good looking? I tried better males - younger faces, but my face is still looks like it's been shaped with bricks or something, I wanna try put myself in the game and I just don't have this massive jaw and cheeks lol

Is this possible? I just find it weird how you go to a forge and can only craft crap armor, I just want everything to be unlocked then I can freely go out hunting for the materials for whatever it is I want. I tried the console command like advskill but my character just levels up too much.

Hey and thanks. I'll have to look deeper into UFO and that amazing tweak thing, I think they are supposed to go together though not sure. I actually do have dawnguard though just installed it and just got that deadly dragons. The cloak ones look great I'll get that. As for realistic needs I think that's kinda cool to go with frostfall, but the whole 'eat' thing and slows your movement lol, is there anyway to not have that? I think the refil bottle in lakes is really cool though.

Hey people. So I've been here a while and the funny thing is, I ain't even gotten further than that dragonstone quest in Skyrim. I've literally spend most my time, well I don't even know man. But after a few times of failing my mods, because something would cause CTD's etc. I've done a fresh install of Skyrim, got my load order right, my settings optimized,and I use that texture optimizer thing (minimun) so everything runs smooth. I just want some 'Main' mods to enhance my gameplay, feel immersed, and that anything can happen at any time. I mean all the little things like Clothes and Animations and textures to do with my character I will save those till last. Here's what I have right now; Looks good? Any Suggestions?

Ok so here's what I want. Better females from bella, you know that mod, so all females in-game are better resolution, and the other one for guys. Along with visual textures game can look nice. I have no problem doing this because it's just click download through Nexus and done. What I'm trying to figure out is how to properly instal the face textures etc that only my character can have, as when I try do it through Nexus, it asks to overwrite better females etc then it changes everyone. I kinda know you go to Skyrim/Textures/Actor or something, but there are Textures and Meshes, with the same names so it's confusing to me. I will probably download a Custom race so it has it's own folder, but how do I do it? Basically I want this; UNP or CBBE body SG Textures Tattoo without causing seams really that's basically it lol. Like where do I put those files and certain tins masks etc. Thanks in advance!

I already have monitor mate, I use 1440x900 native res, which is fine to me. I used to use 1080p but was too big and hurt my eyes after hours of gaming. Also have an OS ready. But those Skyrim HD 2k textures are known to crash a lot so I just won't use them.

And watching many benchmarks, it seems Skyrim was MADE for an i5. So with this set up, this should beast it's way through high graphics and enbs right?

Use Cinemascope ENB. Zero fps loss trust me. Also those temps are perfectly normal, mine has been the same and had this pc for over 2 years, still doing just fine.

Hey guys. I am here and open to all suggestions on how to increase my FPS in-game. Indoors is fine, It's straight up 60 fps, I'm sure it's like this on even out dated computers. But outside, it would 'stutter' a little, and my fps is ranging from 25-45 average. Now what I've tried so far, downloaded certain mods such as [skyrim Project Optimization], [Colorful Lights No Shadows], all the [skyrim Performance Plus] mods. I've turned Shadows down, and everything else is about average, except texture quality which is High. But in my AMD control panel, it's on 'Standard', so a balance between performance and high quality. My Anti-Analising is off, but that filtering one is on x4, that lowers my fps by like 1. I've only done 1 thing with the whole Skyrim.ini thing, and that's add a bunch of new lines to add my CPU's or something, other than that I ain't tried to tweak anything else. I am running like 80 mods, but none of them are to increase textures of anything. Just stuff like weapon and armor sets, immersions such as patrols / frostfall, Monster Mod, more wildlife, birds, you know. Anyway my PC specs are; AMD Athlon II, 3.1 Ghz dual core [both cores overclocked to 3.5Ghz] AMD 6700, [Overclocked to about an extra 80%] 2GB Ram. I'm thinking Ram is my main problem, because while my hardware is a little outdated, they are clocked at good speeds to match more decent ones. I run Skyrim through that attk launcher thing, game booster activated, Tune up utilites active, and this skyrim mod that apperently boosts fps by doing something with windows media or something I don't know. I'm also playing on 1920x1080 which is probably the main problem, too much of a big screen for my pc. But what can I do? I can't lower resolution and play window mode can I? because I heard window mode is more laggy. Man, I cant wait to sell this drum kit of mine, I'm gonna buy a beast of a computer, but until then, what else can I do? :smile: EDIT 1; Just tried playing in window mode at 1440x900, no difference :/

Nah the Mod, skyrim hd textures, it seems you must have 4gb gpu and double the ram for it not to crash running those.

Just use texture optimizer, freed up over 50MB on over 100 mods, and they don't look any different. I took before and after SS and seriously, there is like the tiniest amount of change ever, or it could be the shadows/light was in different places during the 2nd SS. Plus with save cleaner, it loads up like new. Never had any problems. The Skyrim HD 2K Textures makes everyone crash so don't use them.

Nah it makes the game look too fantasy for me, I wanna keep the gritty skyrim feel to it.
