  1. I can download and install mods from the Nexus site and everything works fine, but in Vortex the game does not appear in the Select a Game to Manage panel. Is there something I've missed, or is there some actual reason why this particular game can't be used with Vortex?
  2. Your "actual" mods are in your Mod Staging Folder. Go to Vortex ---> Settings ---> Mods to see where that folder is located. First of all, thank you very much for the prompt response! I have found the Vortex Mod Staging Folder, in which I see a folder labelled 'content'. In the Witcher 3 game mods folder, there is also a folder labelled 'content'. Do I simply replace the latter with the former (copy/paste/overwrite) or do I need to replace individual files one at a time? NO! NEVER MANUALLY move or copy paste content from the Mod Staging Folder!!!! You will make a complete mess of your installation. Insead, PURGE your Witcher mods, then click on SETTINGS---->MODS, and change your Deployment method to MOVE (Experimental), that way the mods will be physically placed in the proper folder where you can merge them with the script merger tool if need be. Unfortunately, there is no such option under Deployment Method. The list displays only Symlink Deployment. What must I do to see the MOVE option? The Witcher 3 needs to be installed on Drive C:\ and the Mod Staging Folder needs to be on Drive C:\ as well. The Witcher 3 is kind of a PITA in this regard because everything needs to be on Drive C:\ Although I'm, probably wrong again, because I've heard that the Script Merger can now merge Symlinked Mods I've run the Script Merger tool several times, but I still get the compilation errors. I think I'll try enabling the mods one at a time until I get the errors again and just disable the problem mod(s). I use a small SSD for C:\ (this has been pretty standard practice for some time) and larger-capacity SSDs for applications, but too many apps still insist on being installed on the Windows OS drive. I'm weary of having to deal with an overcrowded OS drive - next build I'm going with 2TB SSDs, although that will probably cause all kinds of problems, too. Thanks again for your help!

  5. I just installed several mods for TW3 using Vortex, and I'm getting the same type of errors. When you say "the actual Mod", to what, exactly, are you referring? Where might I find it?
  6. Thank you very much! How, may I ask, did you know that Skyrim SE had been updated? I looked in the Product Updates for Skyrim SE on the Steam client, and it didn't show any updates at all. I was unable to find a version number for it anywhere. (I have auto-update turned on, so I don't get notified of updates.)
  7. Been playing with mods for a long time now, with no problems. Just now downloaded 4 new mods and suddenly I get an error stating that I'm using a version of Skyrim that is later than the SKSE64 version I'm running. Steam has not updated the Skyrim SE game files, and I haven't changed anything with the Nexus client. Is this a bogus error (i.e., some other condition is actually causing a problem but the error isn't detected at once so the message is produced elsewhere) ? There are no warnings in the NMM interface WRT compatibility issues.
