  1. Same issue here. Looks site-wide
  2. The biggest problem with the mod (besides all the horrible stuff with the devs) is how bloated the NCR quest line is. Cut-scenes are too long, story-line blatantly ripped off multiple other games (not in a cute homage way either), and the ending is lackluster. Many of the dialogue options are lazy and give you the illusion of choice when you have none, not to mention didn't feel as intelligent and deep as the base game or some of The Frontier's competitor quest mods (Someguyseries, Th3Overseer's mods, etc...). Too many references to modern politics as opposed to the more interesting political ideologies expressed in the base game (Ganon is literally the only person in the base game who knows what the word "fascist" means and he's a well-educated ex-enclave Follower of the Apocalypse; in the Frontier it feels like half the f*#@ing characters know what Fascism and Communism are and have opinions on it SHUT UP). The post-game is barren from what I've seen, it looks like most of the quests that were available even outside of the main 3 questlines kinda break down and are undoable after you finish one of the questlines. But that's pretty standard, same thing happens in the base game and with the DLC so no biggie there, just with 7 years working on it you'd think they could throw in some interesting stuff to do after it all ends. However, besides all that, the mod is a technical masterpiece. The vehicle mechanics are incredible and represent the pinacle of the Fallout: NV system and what it can handle. The world space in incredible in it's size, detail, and quality. The gameplay is fun (when you're not being railroaded as part of a questline that lasts an hour too long *cough* vault 9 *cough*). The characters are mostly likeable. The voice acting is superb. I'd have to say it's easily in the top 5 best fallout quest mods and top 10 best mods ever made for the site. I'd say I'm looking forward to improvements by the team over time, such as to the companion quest-lines and scaling down the NCR questline, but it looks like this project will die a slow death of minor hotfixes and quality scaledowns due to having to remove all of what Zu added. It's all so sad.
  3. Okay folks, I did this and it worked. At the end of 'Freedom Calls', when annoying little Preston doesnt want any dialogue with you, you can try and finish the quest by console command. "setstage 001a001c 1000" -and it should complete. He still doesnt wanna talk, so i just started the quest (The First Step) Also by console, by typing "setstage 0011b36e 50" and then go to Tenpines Bluff and deal with their raider problem. After that, when you're supposed to head back to Sanctuary, teleport to Red Rocket and walk from there. The dialogue wheel popped up again, and I could continue on as normal. Hope this works for you too. I have plenty of mods BTW I have high hopes for your fix because i've encountered this issue and i've been searching for ways to fix it for hours now and to see a fix in the year 2020 is really encouraging for this horrible bug. The only issue is that literally nothing happents when i try to start The First Step in console. Like I type in the setstage sequence and nothing pops up. and yes i did end when freedom calls in console beforehand.
  4. Hey Guys, I was just wondering if anybody could give me some tips on transitioning from FOMM to Vortex. I know FOMM is considered old but i've always found it to be the best mod manager to use with FNV. Now that Fallout: New California I want to try a mod framework better supported for 2018 modding. I have a f*#@ ton of mods installed with FOMM, and a pretty sizeable package manager full of mods. Any idea how I can start porting these over in an efficient manner? Thanks!
  5. It's been going on since last night. They're having major issues.
  6. Alright so, i had a game all set up and working well. After i installed the "Follower home marker" and "No main storyline ultimatums" mod i decided to load up my game and see what was up. Click go, loading screen, loading screen ends, annnnnnnnnnnnnd, black screen. No sound, no movement, nothing. I had to close out with task manager, which confirmed also that the game had infact crashed and become unresponsive. "Ok" i say to myself, it's obviously because of either one of these two mods. Thankfully for me they were only ESP.'s and came with no extrenuous features thus making the uninstall painless. Deactivate and get rid of both. Click go, loading screen, loading screen ands, aannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnddd, black screen. Now i'm freaking out. I rebuild a bashed patch, make sure my load order has no missing masters, LOOT, toggle archive invalidation, update my drivers, go through countless forums worth of answers, nothing for me, ect... So i'm simply under the impression now that the slots i was trying to load become corrupted somehow most likley when i tried to load them. I don't know why or how this could be but in the course of one night my game went from playable to non-playable for seemingly no reason. Any help will be highly appreciated, my load order is below, ask me any questions i'll try to answer. Also know that i have the dreary ENB, and ojo buenos texture pack, but neither of those have cause me any issues since i started playing. Please help me salavage this game. 7. If it was me i would have chosen an independent Vegas with a long lasting alliance with the NCR. Vegas can provide energy to the west coast areas populated by NCR citizens and in return the NCR allows Vegas to govern it's own citizens while benefiting from the presence of the NCR military. Vegas would most likely expand to encompass most of Nevada and have it's own small standing army made up of factions native to Nevada. The presence of the Gun runners and Crimson caravan (most likely being absorbed by Vegas) will produce and ship munitions and arms to the NCR as another source of trade. Really i would have liked to see a equally beneficial relationship between Vegas and the most stable governing body in the continental US, the NCR.
  8. thanks for the feedback, but i installed weapons of the new millenia and it did all of nothing for the NCR. Really all i want is for the average trooper to, at least, be up to level with the average legion recruit. early game the legion/NCR dynamic is very well done. The NCR being frail but with good firepower, and the legion being buff with almost no firepower. late game legionnaires get 12mm SMGs, .44 Revolvers, Marksman carbines, 10mm SMGs and 9mm SMGs. The best the average trooper can get is a 9mm SMG, not to mention that the veteran legionairs found mid game are level 10 while NCR troopers are level 5 all throughout the game. There has to be some way to bolster their defenses to stand up to the legion on the roads. it's pathetic.
  9. Hey, what's up, first time creating a thread on the forums here so bear with me. My request is a simple concept yet probably much more complicated internally. As i play through the game one thing has become clear, the NCR trooper is the weakest creature in the wastes. The standard Troopers I've encounter throughout my travels utilize terrible weapons even at high levels (I.E Single Shotguns at level 50), terrible health values, and all around s*** SPECIAL stats. Just today, i watched as a Viper killed a single trooper armed with a service rifle, with a tire iron. i understand the concept, that the regular troopers are just everyday citizens put in some shabby body armor and shipped out with guns, but when it gets to the point where you watch 1 legion recruit kill an entire patrol with a machete gladius, there needs to be a change made. Now to be fair i did install CNR (Caesar's new regime) for this play-through, but even then i got the NCR Rearmament mod to even out the playing field. let's just say things may be worse. My mod request isn't something that will totally change the NCR trooper (for compatability purposes) but would rather make small changes to SPECIAL stats and give them a proficiency boost. Anything that would make them seem less pathetic, while still being compatible with any of the big overhauls out there. Probably much harder than it sounds, but i still wanna hear your perspectives. Thanks.
  10. Type this in the console: setstage xx005c11 100 (xx is the mod index) but one more question, I am NOW on the part where you have to defend the town from the legion, im pretty sure the assault is almost over but its gotten to the point where my last save immediately crashes my after about 2 second of screen time. ive tried console killing the legionaries and then disabling their bodies afterword's but nothing works. im pretty sure this is the last time i'll need some tips because it seems like the mod is close to done.
  11. Type this in the console: setstage xx005c11 100 (xx is the mod index) Thank you, also in my personal opinion, you are the best modder on this site ^_^
  12. so I got to the part you exit the ant nest and your supposed to "search the corpse for information on glantons location" and there is no corpse. I cant continue the quest forward without this. do you have any tips?
