  1. I dont know if this was mentioned but apparently according to an Italian magazine, spellmaking has been removed. Now granted, it could be a mistranslation, but then again some people could be in denial and say that. However, if this IS true, I'm a little worried about where the series may be going...which is to say, a dumbed down console market. Granted, the majority of my gaming is done on a console, but for my Bethesda games, I'll take the PC. Where I first learned of the spellmaking removal: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1163214-skyrim-italian-coverage-thread-2/
  2. that probably makes the most sense. at least i had the fortunate ability to play the first one. haha
  3. this year is going to run me dry in terms of games coming out...Bulletstorm in Feb, Crysis 2 in March, Brink whenever, Portal 2 in April, Skyrim in November...wth lol
  4. Seeing as though that some of the core ideas for Fallout: New Vegas came about from the developers looking up popular mods for Fallout 3, it's safe to say that I think Bethesda would be wise in doing the same thing.
  5. i completely agree. placing the setting in a big city will definitely up the ante in terms of gameplay and verticality. in addition to the supposed environmental storms that were mentioned awhile back, such as tidal waves, earthquakes, etc. though i'm mainly talking about people judging the Xbox 360-only multiplayer beta for Crysis 2, but I do see what you mean. I can understand being put off by the retardedness of overly pride-filled people haha. I have had to put up with it on a few occasions, but thats why I tend to play with everyone muted or I'm in a party with friends. And it's not really off-topic seeing as though I think those kinds of gamers are just as bad as the ones who complain about a game sucking without being able to justify why they feel that way. I saw the same thing on the Bethesda Forums, there was a topic on there saying 'What has you most disappointed'. granted there was a topic saying 'what has you most excited' but the disappointment thread had more replies than the excitement one. It's amazing really. Quite honestly, I myself felt that Mysticism was a rather useless skill. What I'm wondering is how they're going to weave into the lore of Mysticism not being used anymore. Did the practice or practitioners of Mysticism die out? Etc etc.
  6. oh trust me, im used to the fact that it's there. im just not used to the fact that it even has to exist at all. Personally, I loved Modern Warfare 2 when it came out and found the multiplayer addicting. Playing it for a straight year, though, I started to see all of the bulls*** associated with it (from personal experience). And I knew in Black Ops, it would be there in some form or another despite a different developer. So I didn't get the game. However, that criticism you cited that someone said toward Mass Effect 2 IS unfounded, as there are small DLCs which give new armor (and a good portion of those are free!). I don't know, I just feel like for some gamers, it's always more, more, more, or, as I found in a comment that went like this (its most likely a joke but it still applies to people as their real attitude): "This game is only to be played on PC. Of course your PC is garbage so you only have XBAWKZ to play it on. LOLZ." That's just pure ignorance and hatred really. It's the last comment on this site, btw, so it cant be said that I didn't cite my source :P: http://www.examiner.com/xbox-360-in-national/crysis-2-multiplayer-demo-impressions edit: @melphist, in a way, that's the impression I get too. Then again, what I really feel about that is the fact that as human beings, these people have nothing more to do than seek attention, but thats a whole different debate about human nature lol. I mean, have either of you guys played the multiplayer demo on the 360?
  7. I played Crysis on my friend's PC at full settings--absolutely amazing graphics and gameplay. So when I heard Crysis 2 would be coming out on consoles as well as PC, I was overjoyed at getting the chance to play it. So when the multiplayer beta/demo whatever came out, I immediately downloaded it. I loved it. It plays smooth, theres a fine balance struck between running and gunning and sneaking around, and the guns are great. Curious to see what other people were thinking, I go online to see what other people are thinking about it. Websites praise it. Then I get to the comments on these sites and people were trashing it. Crysis 2, the sequel to one of the best games loved by a good majority of people everywhere. Saying such things as 'oh its just a combination of COD and Halo', 'oh the guns feel too floaty' (the f*** does that mean anyway?), 'oh crytek shouldve never went to consoles,' 'oh this is a lot like COD4 because of the killstreaks'. basically a bunch of whiner complainers (also saw quite a few shots at PC gamers calling them elitist and stuck up, which is just dumb). I mean, on the one hand, you cant help but see the brilliance of the COD formula...its in many a MP shooter that comes out these day. at the same time, you can't knock the game for following a successful formula while putting its own twist on it: you have to balance out when to run, when to use power armor, when to cloak, etc. It adds a whole new strategic element to it. Yet a lot of gamers, like Youtube commenters, lack intelligence to differentiate and...not *censored*, I guess. I guess my point is, does anyone else feel the same way as I do? Or am I in the wrong?
  8. and thank you for taking the time to watch what i've created Crank
  9. Couple of announcements. I'm sharing these because for one, they all hit me rapidly today after my last class at college and they are all great ideas, and none of which will spoil anything for anyone who's been watching :) So here they go. Season 1 of The Mojave will contain 8 episodes. Yes, I'm planning ahead when I say Season 1, because I knew going in to this that there will need to be a right time and place to put a beginning and end to this part of Wayne's story. However, I didn't quite know how many episodes I would make. I originally threw out anywhere from 7 to 10 episodes. I'm settling on 8 because it's a good balanced number. Second, starting tonight I'm beginning work on the script for Episode 4. This episode is going to be a tremendous amount of work involving a good amount of scripting, something I have very little experience with, but I am welcome to the possibility of help in tackling what I'll need to do. If anyone reads this and hasnt been following and would like to help, OR, doesn't mind a little spoiling of the story, PM me and we'll discuss options :) That is all. I really do appreciate the surprising amount of positive feedback you guys have given me thus far, as well as critical feedback on how to improve my directing game. In this regard, frank lee is the man and gave me some very insightful tips on camera work. Also, I received some very useful help from WastelandAssassin in creating NPCs which is going to be invaluable for this machinima. So thanks to you guys. I know at this point my "fanbase" is small, but I hope in time that will change and the amount of viewers will grow. Guess we'll have to wait and see. 8)
  10. Owning both the 360 and PC versions, I can say that Dead Money was worth...well the money haha. It added a new area, new if temporary companions with great backgrounds, a proper B.A.R. in addition to various other interesting weapons (Bear Trap Fist ftfw), and the storyline is genuinely interesting. It also hints to bigger things for future DLCs, such as the possible return of the cut companion Ulysses, traveling to a huge abandoned Pre-War facility called The Big Empty, and the possibility of the Burned Man showing up (because let's face it, if there's a myth or legend in any sort of RPG game that claims to be JUST a myth, such as the Burned Man supposedly being still alive being tossed into the Grand Canyon, most likely it's true :P). I do hope it comes to the PC though, so that way the modding community can use the assets that come with it.
  11. I have both the 360 and PC versions, and I'm just surprised how virtually nothing bad has happened save with the occasional CTD for the PC version but to me that isnt a big deal since I'm constantly quick-saving and manual saving.
  12. Wayne Masterson, my player character and star of my machinima "The Mojave." The only survivor of the Vault 3 massacre, Wayne is a lone wolf, with no real allegiance to anyone but himself, for he has learned that the only person who he can trust at the end of the day in the Mojave Wasteland is himself. Until he takes a job opening at Randall & Associates; from then on, Wayne and Steven Randall become fast friends. http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/5581/falloutnv20101218202514.png (Casuall Revolver from Classic Fallout Weapons, outfit is the Armored Bounty Hunter Duster with matching hat)
  13. How do I go about converting over stuff like weapons and armor from a mod on the fallout3nexus for use in my New Vegas game?
  14. that zombie mod sounds pretty ridiculous. might have to give that a shot if possible. by the way, love A World of Pain. might come in handy for my machinima...
