  1. I know some players have used SweetFX to help play games with their colorblindness. This is a postprocessing shader mod that works with many, many directx-based games. ReShade is another postfx shader mod that incorporates parts of SweetFX, so could also be used to help you guys out. It affects color correction for the entire frame, and you can balance some colors so that reds are less aparrant as "red" and might appear as another color that is easier for someone to see.
  2. I'd love to see a mod that rebalances the player movement speed. Walking is an acceptable pace, but running is like a full-blown sprint! And the AP sprint is like a small jet engine flying over the landscape. The difference between the speeds can be really jarring, especially during a stealth sequence where slow and normal moving can be very different and abrupt.
  3. unforbidable's Dark Nights mod is very cool for the time being, but I noticed it seemed to disable the lighting for night more than it darkened the dark parts. This made the world feel too flat with black ambient lighting to me. Hopefully a better solution can be found before the toolkit releases.
  4. Which ini tweak is that? You say same ini but no one mentioned which ini or which tweak?
  5. I hate the new Bethesda style. Starting with Oblivion, the player has areas of interest thrown at them magically without the player actually discovering them for themselves. Some mods fixed this by making the area of discovery much smaller than vanilla; until we have a modkit, it seems the easier solution is to remove the compass entirely for the time being.
  6. I just started this mod the other day, and it looks like it is in there. Ziggy's a couple other mods early on were more like collections of a bunch of smaller mods, so it's probably the attachment mod you're thinking of. Hasn't been much modding since the game first came out, it seems :/
  7. I recently decided to try Fallout 3 again, but after I finally got everything squared away, the in-game view distance is incredibly stunted. I have a good amount of mods active, but I'm pretty sure the problem was here before I got most of them installed. Here's a pic of it: http://i.imgur.com/QXQLB.jpg http://i.imgur.com/xlXDZ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/nNV7j.jpg http://i.imgur.com/JCiqy.jpg http://i.imgur.com/GYeJo.jpg http://i.imgur.com/QhgXX.jpg (forgive jpeg--default image from game was bmp). It doesn't seem as bad at first, but as you look towards megaton and around there, the detail on the graphics just gets destroyed, and many objects aren't even rendered until I'm within a short distance of them, making things pop in and distract me. While on the ground, the problem is worse, as the world in front of me suddenly jumps into a lack of detail. I've notched all the view distance items to max in the launcher, but it doesn't seem to help any. The immersion is pretty sucky at this point :( Any tips for getting this LOD-like blurriness to be rendered at an actual distance, rather than within ten-seconds of walking distance?
