Will this be saved? Like... does the item stay there over the time or does it vanish after certain time?

As stated in the title. I'm having big trouble finding a way to mark all these caves and stuff as explored. I looked for some map markers mods, to recolor markers of the explored locations, but found nothing. Then I looked for some object placing mods to summon a sign at the entrance for examle. Something like "Explored" simply written on a sign at the entrance. Found also nothing. Any ideas how to solve this issue? I know that the game marks the places I've been to, but it doesn't mean I've explored them.
