  1. theres an old gopher youtube video where he successfully mods geralts shirt, maybe that will help you see where things went wrong for you.
  2. One directory up from where you looked there is a .w2ent file that you may want to open. Inside it is a reference to the w2mesh you are interested in & the textures you seek are near there. I can console myself that this isnt directly helping but is just a hint.
  3. Try the uncooked files dlc\ep1\data\gameplay\items\def_item_ep1_runewords.xml & def_item_ep1_upgrades.xml. The items_plus folder also contains new game plus versions of these files. I uncooked the entire game but I think these come from uncooking dlc\ep1\content\bundles
  4. You could try comparing each file in an existing sword or armor mod to the unmodded game's version of that file using something like kdiff. This makes it alot easier to see how to mod the sword and armor xml files.
  5. Light armor 02 and the crafted skellige gambeson is Light armor 02_crafted I think both of the above refer to the texture characters/models/geralt/armor/armor_human__common/t_01_mg__common_light_lvl2_d01.xbm
  6. remove screen water droplets effect https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/408
  7. Step 1) Find an old priest and a young priest Step 2) Ignore step 1, but MAKE A COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL WITCHER3.EXE FILE so you have a backup if things go wrong. Step 3) Do it yourself The 1st link in your post has the following link at the bottom of its description section https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/guide-mod-limit-fix.11004427/ At the top of this linked page is a TLDR telling you how to do it yourself in just a few steps. Step 4) Before following the steps in the tldr double check that you completed step 2 and have a copy of your original witcher3.exe file so you have a backup if things go wrong. Step 5) There's an image below the TLDR section, if you right click it and choose view image you'll get a larger version that can actually be read. This is an image of the hexed.it page with 3 red circles. The top right circle is where you will enter each of the 4 possible addresses he gives. The top left circle is where you'll enter the value you want for your new mod limit. The bottom circle is where you'll check for C0 00 00 00. (If you are wondering wtf is C0 00 00 00, it's 192 expressed as a little-endian 4byte hex number, if you use 1024 as you new mod limit this will become 00 04 00 00). Step 6) He gives 4 possible addresses where C0 00 00 00 may appear (depending on which version of witcher3 you are running). At hexed.it enter each address at the place indicated by the top right red circle in his image, then check the number highlighted at the bottom of the hexed.it page to see if it is C0 00 00 00. One of the four addresses should be it. (For me the address turned out to be 0xB967A6 but you will need to determine what it is for you). Step 7) When you have C0 00 00 00 highlighted at the bottom of the hexed.it page, enter what you want as your new mod limit at the place indicated by the top left red circle in his image. Step 8 ) When you've made your change hit export on the hexed.it page and it will download the witcher3.exe file you just patched. If none of the 4 addresses work for you he has another way to search for it in his longer explanation. If this all fails you are back to finding an old priest and a young priest, good luck.
  8. witchers lair if you just want some armor stands try 'additional armor stands'
  9. There's a mod called Caranthir's Navigator Staff that adds a weapon to the game as a dlc. May be a good place to start.
